She really played the hell out of that role. Jessica Jones was definitely one of best Netflix Marvel shows!

I never realized how wildly different Ritter's mannerisms are to Jessica's! She has such an expressive, friendly, "girly" demeanor, that's nothing like Jessica at all. I'm impressed by how natural and convincing she made Jessica as a character! It makes me think of watching John Hamm and realizing how much he ISN'T Don Draper, but if anything Ritter is even MORE different from her character.
She was perfectly cast, absolutely crushed the role, I can't picture JJ as anyone else.
She's perhaps the strongest lead that Marvel Netflix had. Chemistry that popped with every major or supporting character she shared the screen with. Amazing.
Krysten is just terrific. Definitely want to see her back in the MCU
She was the perfect choice in the end. She was amazeballs! I think we all get nervous about what an actor will bring to a beloved, nostalgic and popular character. She pulled it off, with style and grace.

A reasonably credible rumour is saying she will be appearing in Disney+'s She-Hulk
When Jessica Jones season 3 ended, Krysten said she was done with the character. But hopefully she's changed her mind since then or is at least open to playing Jessica Jones in the future if the opportunity arises and she is available.

I just hate getting my hopes up is all. I really loved JJ and I mourned the series when Netflix cancelled it and Ritter said she was finished with the story. I don't wanna dig up that hope just to have to bury it again.
@@FadzaiSimango Honestly, unpopular opinion but I don’t think I’d enjoy seeing her in She-hulk, which is gonna be a comedy. Would be weird to see a character like that most likely used for punchlines, especially after everything she went through in her show.

@@alexanderf2121 I would love that so much. We should definitely assume Kevin Feige knows all about that want. He even teased around with the idea that, "You never know who may show up." - When he was revealing more about She Hulk and its law based setting.
@@RJCXDOfficial there is another premise that was established: Deadpool was confirmed in the MCU with the same actor from the previous movies. This simply opens a portal to other characters that were acclaimed come with their respective actors. ;-)
Well we got Kingpin and Daredevil back. JJ is def coming back as well. All the heavy industry leakers were saying Cox, Bernthal, D’Onofrio and Ritter were pretty much safe from the axe. Now look. 2 are back. And Bernthal is all but confirmed for Daredevil: Born Again
Her natural voice is totally different than JJ's. She sounds all "girly"--Lol!
Exactly why I usually don't watch too much of the actual actors... I know it's going to be really jarring. Just shows you how good she is. It also makes the 'smile' scene even better.

I agree. But it's sad how some shows like Stranger Things and Killing Eve have great first seasons then slowly going downhill.
Is season 2 bad? It's almost like I'm afraid to see it because the first season was great!

@@Fnelrbnef I don't want to spoil it for you but when you watch it you'll realise how important kilgrave was to season one. Ritter is still great as Jessica and I love Malcolm but there are no compelling villains and the effects are awful.
Season 3 isn't as good as the first season but it's still one of the better seasons in the marvel Netflix world.

its a relief seeing jessica happy :) literally had the scariest villains, cuz at least everyone else's villains were either reasonable or had similar/weaker powers

Yup! 😄 Krysten is so sweet and bubbly (much more like the character she plays in _Vamps_ ). She'd definitely be the kind of person who irritates the hell out of Jessica - but then again, most people irritate the hell out of Jessica 😅
I always think that and always come to the conclusion that she must be a terrific actress. It's crazy how opposite they are.

Did you see the episode of Luke Cage with Danny Rand? It was great! The problem wasn't the actors, it was the writing.
@@johnsyers8212 I was about to say the same thing. I was convinced it was the actors fault, but after watching him on Luke Cage, I changed my mind. The production for Iron Fist wasnt the best, he only had 3 weeks of training and learnt fight choreography 15 minutes before shooting his scenes.
It actually feels like the spot-on casting of Matt Murdock, Luke Cage, and Jessica Jones showed off the tone-deafness of Danny Ran's casting even more

@@johnsyers8212 So true, I rewatched the whole of the Marvel Netflix shows not too long ago and honestly as I was getting to Iron Fist I was excited, I know people hated it but honestly it was just rushed. I really enjoyed season 2.

Jessica Jones is underrated and definitely one of the best Marvel shows, and Krysten Ritter played the hell out the role. I can't believe how different she is from her deadpan on-screen character.

I hope the rumors of Krysten returning to the MCU via the She-Hulk series are true, mostly because I found that Tatiana Maslany's character of Sarah on Orphan Black felt a lot like Jessica, so this would be the closest thing to a crossover that I'd hope to see.

Marvel TV was a completely separate entity to Marvel Studios, during JJ there was a lot of internal conflict and politics happening: Feige was battling it out with Perlmutter and Loeb

Kilgrave might be one of the MCUs best villains but yeah he had to go, if they would’ve continued it might’ve gone stale
I haven't watched the show but I know she's a great actress so I'm planning to watch.
I had nothing else to watch one night so I started it. I was hooked immediately. I think it was my favorite thing I watched that year (2019 I think?).
She was great in this, would love to see jj in another show. And maybe with a different writing team...
Whoever wrote season one needs to have a bigger hand. Idk if they wrote the other two seasons, but if I had to put money on it I'd say probably not.
I just checked, because I was curious. A bunch of people wrote season one, but none of them returned (besides a couple) for season 2. Man, I wonder how good it would have been if they came back.

As much as I love David Tennant and his Killgrave, that wouldn't work. A big part of Jessica's development is her getting rid of Killgrave, which she's already done
I heard there were rumors (arent there always), to integrate Kilgrave in the wider MCU. Maybe if his body was experimented on, he could be brought back, but a side effect could be, he'd turn purple, like the comics, or something along those lines.

Jones was easily the best Marvel on Netflix. The others seemed like they hard to work really hard, just to be OK. Jones was great from episode 1.
I think it was just okay I had to make myself stick to it honestly I wanted to see more of Carrie Ann Moss they should have done more with her role.

The show went downhill after Killgrave died, that’s why Daredevil is better since they didn’t kill off Wilson Fisk even after season 3.
Counterpoint: I love both DAREDEVIL and JESSICA JONES and enjoyed all of their seasons (and their interaction in THE DEFENDERS).

Season 2 was crap.
The first season maybe. Season 2 and 3 were vert snoozer. She was the only consistently good thing in the series. Just sucks how the character went nowhere. Never changed. Never had an arc. Just ... 'found stuff out' about her past and ... that's it. Also, the villains were shit after Kilgrave.
Series ended and she was still a drunk asshole lol. Sad.
Except it didn't it sucked Women didn't even like that show
