Got our ocean blue Niro EX in August - no issues for 10000 km, good quality and around 4.5 l / 100 km. Half the gas than our Soul, which we had before. Best choice ever!
Just bought new one a week ago, just took it back and fourth to work for 1 week filled it up on Saturday $3.89 cents!!!!!!!! 9 miles each way!!!!!!!! Love ❤️ my Kia, wish I would have bought sooner, very roomy and quiet
I recently Got the Niro EX Hybrid so far i like everything about this car, will have to set up the system and get use to driving it around. Great video btw 👍
True..he probably didn't know how to get into Sport mode! It's not very obvious actually...have to move the shifter over left to get into it. It makes it way more responsive.
You do realize those so called rebates only work for the rich or people who are single or have no kids. One would think a rebate would be a rebate, but not so much. The very people who could use it the most do not qualify for it. So when I hear people complaining about it is going away I simply say it was never here for the folks who needed it. My family does not qualify for it and it’s because we are not rich. Interesting how that works right. The middle class pays for something that the rich only get. I do however love the Niro and liked your review. Hopefully I will be able to buy one soon...
Rebates in Canada have nothing to do with how rich you are. Your car is usually eligible for a rebate (both provincial and federal) if you need to plug it in (phew or ev) and it is less than 50k. This particular car is NOT available for a rebate since it isn't a plugin.
I would like to point out that this is supposed to be the 2019 model (we are in December 2018), and yet the vehicle has 11.8k Km on it.... I don't see how that is possible...
Hi Amir, Press cars get quite a bit of mileage racked up on them fairly quickly as they cycle through various journalists and outlets. Sometimes press cars are only on the fleet for a few weeks before they reach high mileage. Journalists sometimes go on road trips with vehicles or put above average mileage on them during their test period.
Average car lifetime is more then 10 years so an EV version will outperform in CO2 footprint. Also building and engine and batterypack and electric motors make it complex when it don’t have to be.

Is it okay to buy 2019 kia niro hybrid with 111k km?
Sport mode totally changes the car, I thought it was very slow too. Once I discovered sport mode it became fun to drive

James O'Connor I suggest the Niro, I’m a car guy and I love it. Fun to drive and extremely good fuel mileage
But bad for gas mileage
@@ELP1125 Yes, it's really not meant to be used all of the time. If you need to merge onto the highway quickly or pass someone, it's mighty useful.
Any idea how long the battery lasts on these puppies?

I'd prefer to get Kia Niro EV.

The Niro hybrid was NEVER a part of the Ontario EV program
MarK D Our apologies, Mark...you’re correct. Sorry about the misinformation.
Great video though....nice to see someone reviewing the 2019 hybrid Niro (and in the GTA) -- all the other reviews are the PHEV
@@markd2075 Thanks for the kind, supportive words, Mark...much appreciated!
