@@megabaz9 I mean, if anything, Metal Sonic hinders Stardust Speedway. His boss fight in CD isn't that interesting, and even Mania's gets old after a few times. The best part, again, is the music. Even then, the level theme is much better in my opinion.
@@StarBird06 I strongly agree and disagree with you, the music is amazing in CD and is even better in Mania and the boss fight was unique, especially for a sonic game, and in Mania the concept is amplified...
In a alternate universe: It’s 1997 and Sonic Mania is now in stores, you get it on the genesis and you start up the game, you get past the title screen and then you hear this. You click mania mode and hear this. You make a save select as sonic and tails, and get to the first level. You get to here, but this is just a cutscene. No level. You’re confused, but watch the cutscene. You’re now in green hill, being emotional by the nostalgia that hit you, it’s almost like you’re really playing sonic 1 again. But you carry on with the level. You beat Act 1 with a mini boss that was a little hard. On to act 2. You’re now on act 2, the song is different. And the layout is nothing like act 2 of sonic 1 green hill zone. You beat the level with a boss you recognize, you get to a cutscene. Then you teleport to another place. You’re in here now. Wondering why you didn’t go to marble zone. But you roll with it. You beat act 1. Then you’re in act 2. You’re in this zone now. Yet again nothing like the original act 2. But you go on, now you’re in the boss and it’s familiar to you, is this Dr robotniks mean bean machine? In fact it is, you beat eggman and get to the next level. You’re in a level you never seen before, you thought this would be marble garden, but you eventually beat act 1. You’re in act 2 and love this. You’re enjoying the song and the level and you’re at the boss, you beat it and move on to the next level. You’re in flying battery, you really liked this zone when you were playing sonic 3, because of the song and the level design. You beat act 1 and see what’s awaits you in act 2. You’re now in act 2, and sounds normal, the level is different and the boss is actually pretty hard. You beat the boss and go on to the next level. Oh look. It’s a new level, you get through the level while confused because you never played this before. But you beat the boss and get to act 2. You enjoy this and it reminds you of mushroom hill. You beat it and get on to the next level. You’re in stardust speedway. Although you never owned a sega cd, you know this level pretty faintly. The level is very calm and you get to act 2 in no time
Oh my gods, a 16-bit remix that *doesn't* use any of Sonic 3 "C'mon!" and "Whoo!" voice clips! Thank you! They're just too omnipresent and overused at this point.
That's some truth right there. It was cool at first but EVERYONE uses them. I hear either of those samples in a remix nowadays and I just go "ugh". Unless it fits well enough to be there.
The goal of Sonic Mania’s soundtrack wasn’t to sound like Sega Genesis music, they wanted to capture the feel of old music. But at the same time I totally agree that that would be cool.
I will never get bored of this tune. Anyways, amazing remix there, BaZ! Keep up the great work!(If only you would be free enough to compose music for Fever tho...)

It never was the Metal Sonic boss fight that makes Stardust Speedway one of my favorite levels. It's the level and music itself!

You're going to hate Mirage Saloon act 2, cause this guy uses rhe sound clip in that one...
This sounds like a Act 2 version of the original Stardust Speedway Past, good job!
Holy moly… the compressed voices makes this sooooo much better!!!
This is too dang good...
Just imagine if the whole game's soundtrack was done entirely out of genesis instruments
just imagine you living in stardust speedway past

IS IT ME OR DO I HEAR THE SLAPPING OF BALDIS RULER AS THE DRUMS!?!?! Thx 4 the heart appreciated it!

This is the best Mega Drive/Genesis version of this act I have heard so far
wow this sounds like a sonic 4 for the sega genesis!
Wooow I love it 🌟🌟🌟
Whoever is playing is good. For some reason it is hard for me to watch people play 2d Sonic who are pretty bad at it.
It sound so peaceful and amazing 💫💖
My favorite song in the game. It's so damn good.
Awesome I’ve been waiting to hear you do a remix of this song

A remix of a remix which was now changed back to it's original format? Remixception!
Hue hue hue hue

Sounds like streets of rage
Sega couldve made this the music for past stardust speedway past in sonic CD back in the days
Could have but it did not exist yet
3 people failed to outrun Hotaru.
I heard this from Sonic Projector RP
but if it was never in the "Genesis", the Sonic CD was for the "Mega CD" and the "Mania" was after that time
Plz do a egg reverie sega genesis remix!
You use ristar music effects? :3
Pablo The Hedgehog where?

If u keep swearing in your descriptions im unsubscribing
This was the most disapointing track in Sonic Mania for me. It didn't really capture the vibe and energy of the original.
AK its way better, and I loved stardust speedway too, it absolutely fit with this sort of remix of the zone with marble garden zone
wdym?,it does it very well.
