I have the R class model W251 and it's shares Same parts with the W164. Pls any idea where the module is. My trunk only opens with the remote on the key or the button by the trunk. The switch by the driver's door isn't opening or closing the trunk. The switch on the trunk will also not close it. Closing is done manually. Any suggestions will be appreciated. My module has water damage and power pin is corroded off the part number is a164 320 31 85, if I replace the module does any coding or programming need to be done? A164 320 31 85, a164 820 49 26, a164 870 11 26 are they interchangeable? Is a164 870 11 26 the most current revised version of the module? Any help greatly appreciated thank you
It's hard for me to say what are the differences. It is safer to replace it with a module with the same number, another one may work, but an adaptation will be necessary, maybe try to repair the current module, solder the power cables directly to the board or replace the socket. Also check where the water comes from - it often gets through the faulty sealing of the right lamp
these sensors can be replaced with a resistor I don't remember the value, probably 5k ohms, it is best to check the error codes then you can say something more

What are the mini white connections in there for i got one on both side of the wheel wells but they go nowhere 👍any ideas anyone cheers

Why did the fusebox need to be removed?
That is all that is needing to be done?
Did you have to replace the motor or anything else?
That's all the engine and everything else was operational, sometimes there are problems with the rear door sensors in the seal
