Im from Albuquerque and the west mesa killings were real . By my old house there was a park dedicated to people that were killed. A tale people say is that there were many bodies found but remained unreported due to the construction of a huge housing contract . Now there are thousands of houses out there and people always say “there’s probably a body under this house “ jokingly

The movie is only a spoiler if it isn't progressing to a series! All actors and actresses were good at their roles. Mel Gibson, push for a series WITH .50¢. It will then be a successful works!

I'm glad I fast-forwarded the film, because the ending is a disaster in my opinion.

Ya. They were kind of constrained with the facts of the true story, but it feels like they could have made up a killer and resolved it that way.

So have there been ant new victims? If not..does that mean that maybe the killer was.caught?

I did some quick reading on it when I did the review. I don't think there have been new victims and it seems like the bodies were discovered and then an investigation occurred to figure out who did it. Most likely the killer died, went to prison, or moved away. But I did find this in a news article about the prime suspect, which could provide some explanation for why there haven't been any new victims.
The film also focuses on another suspect. That character was inspired by someone who actually was a person of interest - Lorenzo Montoya.
“Yeah, he was a suspect,” Banks said.
Two years before the bodies were found, Montoya strangled a teenage prostitute to death at his trailer. He was caught by the woman's boyfriend, who shot him to death.
Montoya lived three miles from the burial site and the killings stopped once he was killed. Police have never definitively said that Montoya was the killer.
