  • It's been a whole month since my Aroid Market Import unboxing and it's time for an update!
This being my first time importing plants, I had some growing pains pun intended but I feel like all of my imports are doing well considering the circumstances.
For the most part my plants have accumulated and one was even ready for a repot...except for a few. I know that it will take some time for all of these plants to become comfortable in soil and in my home.
One thing i've learned in this process is patience.

I think they’re all gonna grow and look good. You have such good luck or skills with your plants.

They’re slowly getting there, but hopefully will speed up now it’s spring. The monstera albo is awesome. Love the pot too. Thanks for sharing!

Your albo looks gorgeous in her new pot! I use Fox Farm Ocean Forest and that orchid mix too.

Hello I'm new to your channel and I just have a simple suggestion I know it's been some time but a dechlorinator for that is made for aquarium fish is excellent for very sensitive plants especially Imports also your little plant in the Dome the plant also needs some air circulation I hope it's still alive I have no idea I'm still watching your videos if it is still alive I usually plant my plants like that in a very tall vase I put charcoal at the bottom of the vase about 2 inches and then some type of soil I usually use Pawn I don't know if you've seen those really tall vases or I don't know what they're called I find them at the store called at home I keep high humidity loving plants in those types of vices they're about 2 ft or 3 ft tall it gives them enough air circulation and humidity because of how tall they are and they can grow in there for some time and because I plant them right away into that setting they go through less stress because I'm not constantly moving or fussing with them and because of plants are so small you do not need that much soil or whatever you want to put into that vase I usually use the tallest faces they have on 5 ft so I think I use a 3 ft vase and just to verify I started using a dechlorinator because I used it for my fish tanks and that's what I used to water my plants for years when I moved I had to get rid of my tanks and notice my plants started to decline I started using a dechlorinator that's for fish in my regular tap water and my plant started thriving again hope this helps you out a little for future plants

Hi Amanda! I have a different type of labisia I got from Aroid Market last year (I think it's a labisia turtleback) and it has been a consistently wonky grower. 😂 Also, I've seen the fishbone one on a few channels (I'm specifically thinking of Claire from the Jungle Haven) and I think hers has been a weird grower as well. I think your approach is what I would do. It does have gorgeous leaves! 🪴

I never have decent results in water. I’ve started using damp perlite to rehab/ prop plants and it has been amazing. Plants that would not root in anything else (Fluvium, pon, leca, Water, Moss) have rooted. I rarely ever use water anymore, only moss or perlite here.

That planter is gorgeous and looks so good with the Monstera. You gotta love the clear pots. I think I have all but 4 plants in clear pots. I love being able to see moisture level in the soil plus keeping an eye on the roots. I especially love my Hoyas being in clear pots since their roots are so thin and short.

@@BotanicalBrunette no because at least three or four people I follow here on RUclips do that. They will put out a question box on instagram and then answer during a repot and chat.

Hey for your fishbone plant, it might be a good idea to not dump out the water all the time and try and top it up or throw half of the water and keep some of the old water. Some plants go into shock with a water change (not for all, most of mine are fine with a full water change) but if the humidity issue isn't the issue maybe give the water thing a go. Ps love your videos!❤❤
