Community gardens are incredibly valuable for the community. Especially in poor and/or dilapidated areas. They bring communities back together, where they have been growing apart for decades. They're social safety nets, offering support, help or just a bit of needed empathy. It gets people talking to each other again. Community gardens are *much* more than just a place to grow veggies.
