I like the book of lunar and moon idea I definitely gotta try that also some more cards to try out theirs a heavy trap build I seen a few times with trap trick reverse reserve and floodgate trap hole. And I only seen 1 person play a similar build to the trap one but they went really trap heavy and added a Paleozoic spright engine to the mimighoul deck it was like 56 cards he said it wasn’t 60 but looked like it was.
Does the gryphon need to be summoned to the EMZ for it to be able to point to the opponents face down monster or can it be in any monster zone and point upwards to opponents board? Just trying to understand the lock, great vid btw!
@pidge4G you wouldn't gryphon lock with the plan to trigger a mimmighoul you give them, You would either use IP to summon gryphon during opps turn after you have flipped the mimi face up (in that example you would want another link monster like mukraker so gryphon can be co linked when summoned and not point to emz. Or you'd summon it during your turn to mini skill drain your opp
Activate room. Set a monster above the opposite zone to IP. On res, Ip effect, make gryphon under the new facedown, and reset Room. That new monster can't be flipped face up and they still can't normal, or activate special effects or attack with specials. (Important note: be wary of matchup. Yubel and Branded can shuffle or fuse off Archfiend for Yubel or Dragon and Cerberus for Branded) Optimal board is to have Gryphon out of the EMZ, unless you have an SP. Make SP (No banish effect), Special Unicorn from grave with Birth, activate Room to SS Archfiend. Flip the facedown with fiend, rip one from ED with Unicorn. Swing for game. Gryphon - 2500 Unicorn - 2500 SP - 1600 Facedown is either - 1900, 1800, 2500 with Dungeon. Depending on state, you could make Assembled here and go into Zeus if you can't go for game.
@adamking5563 it's a good card for the deck, however there are lots of factors to consider for manining it. 1, can't gurentee you'll go first, so chances of it resolving are very minimal. 2, not worth a 10$ card right now. 3, I try to avoid focusing on hand loop decks where able as that and FTKs are not healthy for the game imo

@@monkeybench great explanation thank you. So in general where would the optimal placement for gryphon be?
Fire outer sleeves

Great video but I think it is objectionally wrong not playing summoning curse.
