The boys of Mastodon are no strangers to turning the tragedies of life into beauty that resonates with others. Crack The Skye, The Hunter, Emperor of Sand, and most recently Hushed and Grim. I love Mastodon so much and it's truly a wonderful thing to see Vin and Sori experience some of these songs.
Let me tell you, this is the ending to a double album, all of it depressing and bleak. This is the light peaking through the dark stormy clouds per se. I've never felt something like hearing the second Solo to this song after an hour and a half of Hushed and Grim. Mastodon are my all time favorite band. Please do more.
You deserve to be happy, in the song context, refers to the idea that the person believes that someone who is living through hell doesn’t deserve that. Not that anyone is entitled to happiness.
Great song on a great album. Brann Dailor is a glorious drummer and a dope ass singer. This may be Brent’s best solo ever, either this or roots remain. Anyway good stuff guys, mastodon rules.

The Hunter.. That solo is gutwrenching, the Guitar Is LITERALLY crying with Brent suffering for his Brother..
