The question (for those of us who don't care that you use a wheelchair) isn't why, but why not? You are not your condition no matter how greatly it may impact your life. Some of us, a lot of us, see that. Not everyone, surely. But a whole lot of us do.
The "why would anyone want to date me" question is frequently on anyone's mind who is dealing with this type of permanent injury, though I'd argue it's more problematic for men because many women assume that we cannot perform. It's tricky cuz you want to explain and dissuade the person of an assumption they may be making but it's still early days and you don't want to explicitly address sex and your anatomy situation.

I have an invisible condition called fibromyalgia. All the individuals that I spoke with online seemed quite judgmental before they even meet me.
I realized that being alone was MUCH better than dealing with ppl who are sex starved, have zero respect or who assume that one day they will need to take care of me. I use a wheelchair also, and I love being invisible to males while in it. Although once I was in a motorized cart, and some horn dog immediately started staring at my boobs. Some things will never change.
Tranquility How long have you had fibromyalgia? I personally know someone that I love with that condition, and I wouldn’t wish it on my own worst enemy!! The way I see things, it’s not my place to judge people… That’s God’s job! Other than the general mail problems… You seem to have a really positive outlook, and no matter what a person‘s injury or condition… Anybody affected in a major way, And especially in a wheelchair is a life-changing event! Kudos to you… I could be answering my own question… but I have a feeling that your name is Tranquility… If not, everything about you seems tranquil and peaceful!! My three year anniversary is coming up next month on the seventh… And that’s my anniversary for becoming paralyzed! Sounds crazy to be excited about something like that, But life is what you make it! I hope your day is going good, sorry for any typos… I’m paralyzed from the chest down, both of my arms can’t move, but both my hands are paralyzed! No, Tranquility is not my real name but I love nature..that makes me tranquil. I have had fibromyalgia since I was in my teens but I do feel I was in remission for many yrs. I had a near fatal car accident and messed my body up really good. Over the yrs my body gradually got worse. How did you get injured? Where do you live are you in the US? Hugs!
