I have the Brooks 7400 and have found it to possess all the positive attributes that you've hilighted here. And, you're spot on, SO is a great company...great people with which to deal!
The Brooks 7400 looks awesome. I was so impressed with their packs. Light but incredibly strong and well built! I'd recommend them to anyone who needs a solid hunting pack for sure!
That looks like a very nice pack, gonna check out their website. Esme has a great sense of humor too, wonder where that comes from, lol. Thanks for the credible review and I hope other manufacturers take note by sending you more items.
Hey Mustang - it's a great pack and I tried to be fair and accurate with the review. Esme just has that face that speaks - I can tell when she's smiling and happy :) Hope your summer is going well! Best wishes Michael & Esme!
What are the cons? What would break first in a lifetime of heavy packing? Would this pack hold up to years of packing meat such as 125 pound moose quarters? What are your top 3? Stony Glacier, Exo Mountain Gear, Kifaru?
Hi Missy Skeeter, Its hard to compare this pack to other packs like the Exo Mountain Gear or Eberlestock etc as the Seek Outside pack is made light weight (half the wight of other hunting packs) and to carry large loads. It's simple with not the usual number of pockets and zips found on other packs but yet fully waterproof. I really enjoyed using this pack and would recommend it to someone looking for something light weight and durable! Hope that helps!
It was a review sample but a really good pack for general use - could be used for backpacking as well as a hunting pack. I will purchase later this year I think.
Yes - I see your point but this is no regular UL pack. People have loaded them to 100lb+ for hauling game out of the bush. It's fully waterproof also - I agree it's not for the average UL backpacker but for someone like me who also hunts and does some UL backpacking, it hits the right note. Thanks for commenting!
@@TheEmporiumOutdoors the pack material is waterproof, but not the seams. I believe you have to do that yourself and there is a video on the SO website on how to do that.

Always good to see gear being used in my back yard.
It's some of the best country the world has to offer!
The Emporium amen to that!

Hi Michael, what a good review. Question... do you think this could perhaps be suitable for grocery shopping?
It would be an expensive shopping bag - but it would be certainly carry anything you needed home!
What are the other two packs you suggested?
I'd recommend the ULA Ohm 2.0 or the Savotta Jääkäri M backpack 👍
Do you still like your Seek Outside pack after several years?
Yes its an amazing pack! 👍
Hello Michael i am french
T'es video sont super cool 👍👍👍
Merci de commenter Lolo2538, je suis content que vous ayez aimé l'examen du sac à dos! Meilleurs voeux du Canada!
素晴らしい動画 ですね GOOD👍です。これからも楽しみです。thanks
ありがとう - それは素晴らしいパックでした。カナダからの願い事!
Nice dog!
Thanks :). She's called Esme
Did you get this pack in the end?

$400 for a 3lbs + "ultral light" pack? I can get a 1lbs Zpacsk arc haul for $300. No UL hiker in 2017 considers a 3lbs+ pack Ultra Light. Pass.

Have fun with your less than durable cuben pack. How comfortable is that thing at 40 lbs, btw?

@Jamie Bower I hate going into towns and would enjoy fewer boxes sent to out of the way towns and load up food and just go.
just bring a massive ziploc bag bro
