  • In today's video, I'll be showcasing all of the vivarium plants that I keep in my poison dart frog vivariums. If I counted correctly, the video ended up featuring 79 species, but I didn't include any of the plants from my crested gecko and tarantula vivariums. I hope you enjoy it!
If you wanted to see a collection tour that focuses more on the frogs and other animals, you'll have to wait for a few months until my annual collection tour releases towards the end of the summer, or check out last year's edition :)

I hope you enjoyed this video! If you did, make sure to subscribe to the channel so you won't miss out on any future uploads! I have plenty of content coming out within the near future.
This video was obviously more focused on the plants and barely showed any frogs at all. However, as always, there will be a complete collection tour towards the end of the summer, where I'll be focusing a bit more on the animals. If you don't want to wait for that long, you can always check out last year's collection tour instead :)

Just FYI, I love your videos. I look forward to every one. You make the best dartfrog/vivarium videos out there. You've inspired me to start a few vivariums. No frogs yet but one day. I'm honestly loving the plants lol. Anyways, keep up the good work sir.

At 02:28 you talk about a faulty substrate mix that didn't last very long. Would you mind telling what was used so I can avoid that for my future build? Thank you so much for making that video, my plant wishlist just got waaay longer lol.

It was a mix of coco fiber, sphagnum moss, exo terra forest moss, reptile bark and a bit of charcoal. After a year and a half, it was only half as deep as when I initially set it up and only mud with bark pieces in it remained. The main issue is having so much moss and coco fiber, since it degrades so quickly. Nowadays I prefer either mixtures with at least 70-80% reptile bark in them (I still recommend the mix I mentioned in my latest build video and my complete dart frog care guide) or just going substrateless (filter foam)

I would love to see your crested gecko setup, especially what plants you use! I’ve tried planting a bioactive for my crestie but the plants keep dying

@@TheIncredibleRoy You can see it in last year’s collection tour (“Complete Frog Room Tour - 2023 Edition”), because it hasn’t changed much since then (at least not for the better; she has just destroyed more leaves…). The plants I currently have in there are Philodendron gloriosum, P. hastatum, Alocasia Black Velvet, P. mamei Green Form, P. Burle Marx, Vriesea splendens and Neoregelia ampullacea

Damn you have some stunning setups bro! If i may ask tho, what are your misting schedules like in these?

    • @Tropical_Tutorials

It's roughly 10-15 seconds roughly 5 times a day, but I have quite a lot of ventilation on the vivariums which I have a misting system on

    Super cool video :)
