    I hope you enjoyed this video! If you did, make sure to subscribe to the channel so you won't miss out on any future uploads! I have plenty of content coming out within the near future.
    This video was obviously more focused on the plants and barely showed any frogs at all. However, as always, there will be a complete collection tour towards the end of the summer, where I'll be focusing a bit more on the animals. If you don't want to wait for that long, you can always check out last year's collection tour instead :)

      Just FYI, I love your videos. I look forward to every one. You make the best dartfrog/vivarium videos out there. You've inspired me to start a few vivariums. No frogs yet but one day. I'm honestly loving the plants lol. Anyways, keep up the good work sir.

    At 02:28 you talk about a faulty substrate mix that didn't last very long. Would you mind telling what was used so I can avoid that for my future build? Thank you so much for making that video, my plant wishlist just got waaay longer lol.

      It was a mix of coco fiber, sphagnum moss, exo terra forest moss, reptile bark and a bit of charcoal. After a year and a half, it was only half as deep as when I initially set it up and only mud with bark pieces in it remained. The main issue is having so much moss and coco fiber, since it degrades so quickly. Nowadays I prefer either mixtures with at least 70-80% reptile bark in them (I still recommend the mix I mentioned in my latest build video and my complete dart frog care guide) or just going substrateless (filter foam)

    Super cool video :)
    vart kan man hitta pilgifttgrodor om jag får fråga?
    Har sett att det finns i några reptilshoppar, men bara de vanligaste då. Skulle jättegärna vilja ha några thumbnail grodor.

      En köpesannons på pilgift.se kan man komma en bit på; jag köper bara pilgiftsgrodor från privatpersoner. Många uppfödare lägger bara upp annonser i samband med groddagarna, men kan ha småttingar även andra tider på året och svarar på köpesannonser ibland. Beroende på vart i landet du är finns det förmodligen uppfödare i närheten att komma i kontakt med. Själv har jag två små leucomelas över just nu, och brukar ha fler arter (bland annat anthonyi om ca 3 månader, sen vittatus, Azureus och förhoppningsvis amazonica i höst)
      Tumnagelsgrodor är riktigt skoj, och har man ett bra etablerat terrarium och fått fart på foderodlingarna kan det absolut gå hur bra som helst även om man är ny. Finns ett par som kan vara lite känsligare och blygare som jag kanske hade undvikit, men exempelvis amazonica och variabilis är ofta ganska modiga, aktiva, tåliga (för att vara tumnaglar) och passar bra i grupp.

    Damn you have some stunning setups bro! If i may ask tho, what are your misting schedules like in these?

    • @Tropical_Tutorials
      @Tropical_Tutorials  4 месяца назад

      It's roughly 10-15 seconds roughly 5 times a day, but I have quite a lot of ventilation on the vivariums which I have a misting system on

    I would love to see your crested gecko setup, especially what plants you use! I’ve tried planting a bioactive for my crestie but the plants keep dying

      @@TheIncredibleRoy You can see it in last year’s collection tour (“Complete Frog Room Tour - 2023 Edition”), because it hasn’t changed much since then (at least not for the better; she has just destroyed more leaves…). The plants I currently have in there are Philodendron gloriosum, P. hastatum, Alocasia Black Velvet, P. mamei Green Form, P. Burle Marx, Vriesea splendens and Neoregelia ampullacea

      @@tjorben4563 I’ve once bought a hieroglyphica from bens jungle, but received a fenestralis instead. Keep an eye out on bens jungle though, they sometimes have it in stock and usually they sent the right plant
