Loved this vid. Would be great to see a bit more of this sort of stuff on the channel. I know it isn't exactly core but it adds great variety.
sand
although i love the cooking vids, i generally watch Harry for Harry so any vids a good one
It’s on the cards mate 😉
Honestly this episode was an accurate assessment of how camping in a sand region is and the trial and tribulations can be placed on you Thanks
40 to 30 years ago this was known to the few locals who had 4WD's in the Geraldton, Northhampton area. It was paradise, pluck oysters off the reef while casting out for Spanish mackerel. Series 3 Landrovers and 70's Toyota's, sleeping bags and a tinnie, ice box for the catch. Those times were free. Wish you could have shared them mate.
Love it Harry... we have one of these in our set up. Our dog loves it and we use it mostly in the blackwood River down south. We have a 2.5 horse Mariner Two stroke for it and it hammers along nicely. Don't think I would take it anywhere in the ocean or wider water like an estuary but in sheltered water they are great. Takes a while to get used to the water bed feeling underfoot when moving along but I can say that they are definitely stable. Perfect for two people and a dog.
Yep, I can tell this is your first time. 50 seconds in you're already huffing and puffing, at 10:50 there's seamen. Couldnt handle the blowie conditions at the end. Overall, surprised you made it to 34 minutes. Commendable.
I was only huffing and puffing after I got those 🦶pics you sent through

Good point about needing beginners camp and picking the better location out of the sand and wind.
Great to see a vlog from time to time, a BTS so to speak and I’m looking forward to the ‘Rules on Fire’ vid.
Love this vlog mate, the honesty about these locations is what we enjoyed the most. Thanks. And hopefully cleaning the car of all that SAND wasnt too painful.
The SAND kills me every time. Stayed at my local beach “Wauraltee” which is the most epic beach camping spot. But the SAND I’m still finding in my van 4 months later.
I've seen many a bush, and I can assure everyone, that ain't a bush!
😂😂😂
Sand 😅@@firetofork
Always amazes me how SAND gets into places you didn't know you had. Great vid
It's hard to keep sand out of everything at the best of times, when the wind is up it's a complete nightmare. But on the rare days where the wind is down and the ocean is flat it is absolutely magic!
It’s good to see both the typical fire cooking videos as well as the behind the scenes type adventure videos. It’s no fun camping when the winds up, the SAND is soft and it’s a warm day. Certainly have made the most out of a frustrating situation. You’ve had a great few years of fire cooking, the fire ban had to hit you at some point. Really looking forward to the solid fuel fire yes/no explanation video. As you said, it’s not always an easy task trying to determine if you can have a fire. Seems that even within the same rural shire, some localities have stricter rules. Good job mate.
Great sand vlog Harry. I was drawn by the cooking but the vlogs and honesty around the vlogs keep them entertaining, informative and integral part of F2F. And if I had an answer for the ill informed keyboard warriors I would let you know. Keep up the great work.
Sand and wind are the worst combo. Loved this episode ❤️
Wind plus sand equals sandblasted. Thanks for the update especially recommended time of the year to visit here.
I really liked the vlog style of this hoping you can do more when possible, good to know about the sand and wind conditions there
In spite of the sand I reckon it looks like a pretty magic spot for a blowy camp and draining your tank.
Stayed at Murchison House Station over Easter with 6 other vans. The space we had was excellent(other than the double gees and fly’s) should be even better when you go in May. Highly recommend going there we will certainly go again
Sand is the adventure of windy WA. Loved your tip in regards of winching off the small sand dune. Beats burying a tyre which we have done.
Loved our trip to Kalbarri Xmas 22. Last holiday with my partners mum was so special.... But yes that wind and sand takes it out of you!
I learnt a lot from your recovery in the SAND!! Great episode!
Walked past your book again in BCF last week…..I’m hanging out for a signed copy one of these days 😋
I’d happily withstand the SAND to have a copy 🤩
Really liked this style of video mate wouldn't be mad about seeing more of them at all 👌
Great episode Harry 🍺🍺🍺bit of everything for everyone about beach campn👍
Was a little surprised to hear that some had made the effort to let the members of the local constabulary know about your cooking time frames 🤔🤔🤔
keep the awesomeness coming 🍻🍻🍻
Cheers Andy 🍺🍺🍺
Amazing drone shots, what a beautiful location. Looking forward to the new cub. Camping without a fire is like having bacon & eggs but you ran out of bacon. Hope you can have fires soon.
This bloody sand! Great spot though. Thanks for the insights, love the show 👍 Keep the fire burning 🔥
Great vid .. camped there a couple of times, windy but live the place
Beautiful spot and the sand is so white!
SAND can break a good camp. Looking forward to seeing your new camper soon and see how that goes in the SAND
I was up there through Easter, it’s a great spot but we had the van to escape the wind and sand that inevitably comes every arvo
Love the little boat in the sand.
A feed of whiting and beers in the esky would have been the go!!! The beaches in the west are really like 10psi soft sand beaches. Happy easter mate
Great video, adapt and overcome mate, really loved the pivot from your normal great cooking flicks. Gotta love the Sand mate. (Fred still enjoyed it)
Thoroughly enjoyed this bud, not your typical HF-F2F video, cool little boat, Pity about the wind and SAND, empathise with you, wind can ruin everything
Fantastic episode, awesome camp spot. Looking forward to the new camper.
Camps behind a sand dune n has a problem with Sand
haha bit of sand in the giny this one Harry hahha was still a great watch thank you for sharing!!!
Great vid harry I can understand sand all up in your bits for days could get old real quick 👍🏼
Yeah nice one. We've done day trips to Lucky Bay, looking forward to your vids from Murchison in May 👍
Great content, you straight up with what you say,i saw you at KAON at Brisbane awhile back ,never talked to you as there were too many people around when i went,i went beach driving on the SAND a couple of weeks ago, first time in over 20 years,i wasn't a big fan as sand gos everywhere in your vehicle ,but what the hell you only here for a short time not a long time Lol
I actually really enjoyed your ep Harry! What a cool little boat, shame the fish weren’t biting I have that problem too 😂.
Bloody SAND it’s a pain in the neck sometimes.
Enjoy your fam bam holiday in May.
gritty SAND in every meal, drink and in your bed in your car is what makes beach camping so much fun
Every trip I have had to Lucky Bay is as you have described in this video. Beautiful one moment, shit the next. Sand sand everywhere. 🤙🤙
Merchiston house station is sick! There is 4wd-ing option that you can find great river side camping.
Loving your vids. I bet it will take you a week to get all the’sand’ out of everything. Thanks for your honest opinion.
Sand
Love your rawness mate and would love to cook some of the things I have watched on previous eps
Harry, you are amazing.
Great stuff, like ya can only do what ya can and that was great. Keep up the awesome work and say hi to Fred for me. Cheers 🍻
It certainly looks a nice spot to camp with adequate facilities, pity about the wind.
Loved the vlog made a nice change!
Oh yeah sand and stuff
Sand. The lagoon when calm looks unreal.
A different approach for u but a great video all the same really enjoyed the different approach with this one just sit back and relax and watch Fred having a great time cheers from grumpy
Yep, that wind is just shit hey! Spent my teenage years in Geraldton and it’s just relentless… do not miss it.
Interesting vid Harry. I guess all WA is pretty much "sand". I am guessing your next Cub Camper will be the Drifter model, being a more family type camper.
You say Sand, I say Sheep Dog Whiskey!!
Love your work Gas To Fork Man
Loved this vlog style.
One spot on my list to visit, lov swimming and fishing on the beach but when it's windy it's a nightmare, sand gets bloody everywhere, very clever to put the bridle around that sand mound, not much fun having a winch but no trees or anything to pull off
Great vid mate! That Sheep Dog is the bomb!
Oh and now I have to try cold brew and soda. Intrigued. No more 'sand' for you 😉
Cheers for the footage!
Love the vid different but good keep them coming
Sand sand sand love your cooking !!!!
Great episode mate. Loved the sandruff. 😅
Great content as always, though been a bit distracted with SAND punching entry to every orifice!
wind and SAND always a great combination.
Nice video Harry .. you can change your tagline from "Adventure Cooking" to "Adventure Camping" 😁.
Nice video of the pink lake ... Fond memories from 2018 ... Hopefully I am back in WA at the end of this year. And I probably need to get better at driving in the sand .. and that area near Kalbarri looks like a nice place to practice.
Another great video Harry,
take my hat of to getting that awning up after a night like that!... certainly camping gets more frustrating the more you try to push into things...
Great video!
Sand & surf ain't always right but geez it sure looks nice & bright 😎😏
Sand :)
Cant wait to attend the Caravan Camping Show at Rosehill 👍
Great episode Harry ❤ SAND
sand really gets into everything.
sand and more sand, . Happy Easter
I love the vlogs and don't care if you cook on fire or not tbh 😅 Understand that's what it's all about though.
Really enjoyed this one all about sun, sand and sea. Like the bonus it's abit longer the a regular ep 😅
Cool ep and set up
I liked this video... some thing different. I learnt something I've never seen before.... winching around that little "SAND" mound was genius... good job.
I'm loving your channel as, fairly new subscriber here. I always use the fire to cook with when camping and gas is only ever a backup. Bit of a downer when you cant have a fire, but hey, better than being at work...👍
Loving your recipes and cant wait to try some of them...😊
Glad I'm not the only one thats forgets shit...🤪
Great video! I'm looking into purchasing a porta boat and haven't heard anything bad about them.
Good vid, would have been happy to see you cooking with gas. Damn that wind and SAND!
Yeah I feel you mate sand can really send you mad haha
Cool video, pity about the " sand " n wind
This trip looked like hard work. Codeword Sand.😊
Great episode, love your style. Can I Ask why you don’t take Fred with you on the boat? He’s a beautiful boy 🙏
He chases lures! I’ve been trying to train him out of it for 6 years with no luck. He only comes out when I am not fishing
Mate i think you need to do more gas cooking. Im sure most people do fire & gas cooking. Especially since your in WA which has a lot of fire restrictions would mean we get more videos when you can’t use fire. Also enjoy your vlog content it’s always good to change it up 👍🏻
Cold brew and soda water, haha ruining coffee drinkers including myself what the heck 😂😂😂
Wa = windy always.
We had the same conditions, but over cast and muggy/rain when we went to esperance in march last year. But over december/jan its amazing haha. Defo rough with two kids and other families that havent camped. Defo need the essentials shower/toilets for them. The SAND ohw the Sand i beach camping not for me haha.
Absolute Shambles 😂😂😂 Steer clear of the 4wding and fishing 😂😂
A but of an interesting trip for you. Getting bogged bites at the best of times let alone being solo with a camper. NSW boat rules are 5ho or less you don't need Rego on the boat, 10 knot or less and you don't need a licence. Also here you need ti he wearing a life jacket when ever you are solo in the boat. Different states, different rules just like for your car.
Interesting! I think technically I needed a life jacket, but it’s the wild west
@@firetofork Maybe. I don't know the rules over there but I do remember Malcom Turnbull copping a fine in his tender for not having one just heading out to his yacht
Sand is a tough one to deal with
I, too, do not enjoy sand. Especially the stuff brought home in my kid's school shoes which gets unceremoniously deposited exactly where one doesn't expect to find it under your bare feet at 05h30...
LOL, you have to embrace the wind up there Hazza, or you'll be sandy and miserable.
Is it called lucky bay as its far away from pete (w.a camping adventures) place so your boat wont get hit?
Water looks lush right next to the sand 😍
hey harry, just wondering what drone you use?
Mavic 3 mate
Just gotta say SAND , already have one of you books but just letting you know people do listen to what you are doing 😂
Why do i get the feeling you'll be upgrading the boat soon lol
There's no sand where we camp. 🇨🇦
The pink canoe took a bit of stretching.
It’s a beach you normally get SAND at a beach all good enjoyable
I wonder How many references to the NERD's 1 Film will come up in the comments section.
We have camped in "sand" hills before and been over run by mice. That sucked.
SAND. love that place spent a few school holidays up there
Use your boat sand anchor on the winch... simple
Hi Harry, When you were bogged do you think you would have gotten out without the winch? For me so far max tax have worked and I don't have a winch. I do drive on the "Sand" a bit but not towing.
Nah maxtrax didn’t work because I was sitting on a rock
Cold brew and sodastream is da bomb cuz
