In this video i'll show you how to replace spark plugs and air filters on a 2009 audi r8 v8, this is a recommended 55k miles service along with oil change that we covered in another video
Nice video. I feel comfortable after your lesson to do this on my R8 now.
Happy to help🙌
Excellent Detailed video, now I can do the same on my R8 without the worry, thank you
You are welcome
thanks you make great informative videos that helped me a lot with my R8.
Helpful video. Kind of a strange place to be doing that kind of work.
That’s just proving the point that most of the cars can be fixed anywhere😉 that’s what we do😁
@@Zeiten that thought occurred to me. :-)
Good video. Getting it done on a friends R8.
Sparkplugs:
101 905 621 C (NGK) OEM: NGK PFR7W-TG
101 905 631 G (Bosch) OEM: Bosch 0 242 245 576
Coil:
06E 905 115 E OEM: NGK 48041
Wild that they let you do this on the street. Where is this?
Top Man, excellent video. No fuss, no drama & all done at the side of the road. My R8 is a 4.2 V8 Spyder 2013, would the procedure be the same for plugs, filters & oil change or does roof fittings make it more difficult?
Thank you, well you’ll need to put roof in a service position and everything else is pretty much the same
Thank you for sharing 😊
Do you suggest changing the coils out too or am i fine just changing plugs?
Thanks!!!!
14:29 - OEM is NGK
Such a good video! I have the V10 but I think its pretty much the same just two more cylinders?
As far as i can see yes, not my usual car to work on i just owned it and decided to share on how to do things on your own😁 because why not, in the end of the day it’s just another car
@@Zeiten love the attitude, I see it the same way! The only thing Ill get done at an Audi dealership is the oil change (bringing my own oil) because I want the stamp in my booklet. For the rest Ill save 100s if not 1000s doing it myself. Its strange working on a super car for the first time but youre right, at the end of the day its just another car!
I didnt find a video from you on changing the cabin air filter, do you have one? That one is a bitch to get to because its hidden behind the middle console. Thats this weekends project
could you let me know the parts number of those spark plugs? Does 101905631G will fit on my 2008 audi r8 4.2?
yep, those will fit your car, i don't remember part number of bosch plugs i used, but the part number you gave is for genuine spark plugs
