@@AinBali if the members say that it was choreographed by Stell, we stand by it. He was after all the choreographer of the group. Don't invalidate his role even if other members might have contributed a little. If you want to do that every time someone says the dance was choreographed by him, then might as well remove his title.
I don't understand why everytime there's a compliment for Stell, everyone would jump right in and invalidate him and his role. Nobody's talking when Pablo gets all the credit in songwriting when everybody apparently has an input one way or another. Why are you doing it to Stell?
It was their second song and it was their most iconic song. That time when you saw it on Facebook was the time their then-obscure group rose to popularity. The reason why it was iconic because the song was actually about SB19. This was going to be their farewell song because despite their talents and efforts, the group was being bashed left and right for no legitimate reason. Despite being their last shot, "Go Up" was the song that gave them a chance.
Their debut song was a ballad called "Tilaluha". Back then, they suffered undue criticism stemming from people's prejudice against koreaboos since they were often mistaken as a delusional koreaboo group trying to "get into" the kpop scene (for the record, they aren't; they just wanted to introduce the "pop idol" concept into OPM and the entertainment industry).
They trained for 3 years before they debuted. When they debut single "Tilaluha" was released, people didn't even bother listening to it and just bashed them outright. That's not to say the song was bad, in fact it was VERY GOOD. It was just overshadowed by the prejudice against them, but now it's one of their most loved songs. I know you're a choreographer, but give it a listen sometime. It's a very heart-wrenching song.
Now, "Go Up" was their last shot, and they were actually very worried that Filipinos wouldn't like it because it's something new in OPM (you know, that pop-idol sound but with Filipino words). Not to mention the dislike and prejudice they were already suffering from.
Despite their worries, they gambled everything in "Go Up" (including the 3-4 years of idol training that they had) and instead of making it into a pop love song, they wrote the lyrics and made it into a youthful song that tells their story, their hopes and dreams. After all, this was their last shot. If it flopped, they were gonna disband, so they thought they might as well leave with a bang and tell people their story.
Surprisingly, that very same dance practice video that you watched went viral overnight when they released it. That's how you saw it on Facebook. Due to that, thousands of people witnessed and recognized how legit they were. Contrary to SB19's expectations, the song was very much well-received. People loved the song and the choreography. Their fans exponentially grew over a couple of days and the bashers and trolls were drowned out to obscurity.
Talks of disbandment aside, they even got a huge influx of guestings and tours. And two and a half months after that video, they released their 3rd single.
It was like the song was a prophecy. They really went up with "Go Up."
In the leader's words, "Go Up" was their redemption song.

Yeah i was about to say that as a regular viewer instead, i just see “clean and pleasing to the eyes those formation was” without having to know anything abt how intricate it really is with hand gestures extending simultaneously etc. I learned something new with how he reacts with lots of details and analysis which even proved SB19 is the bomb!

Really informative and a true reaction/review of the artists.
Anyway, I know they already said this, but the they choreograph their own songs, mainly by the blonde guy (at the practice video) who happens to be their main vocalist also (the one you said who's not running out of breath).
I think most of ATIN(this is how they call their fans) will agree that they love SB19 not just by their looks but with their talents. Because the group really screams talent! PPOP KINGS indeed!

@@-ailyanne-7089 Nope, actually they are under a Korean Entertainment Company (the ShowBT) which based here in the Philippines to form an idol group and trained them like how a training system in Korea is. Eventhough they are under a Korean Entertainment their songs are still written on Filipino language (our very own language) and they also make choreo by themselves with the help of each other of course. That's it I hope it'll help. Please, check them out, you won't regret stanning them, if ever. 😊

The "competition-ish level of choreography" you said. . . it's Josh & Stell forte coz before they are "SB19" both are together in a group of dancers who do dance covers of KPOP hits & competing internationally & won championships too. filipinos are established good singers...good dancers....but for a while i haven't seen a combination of both..its either the good singer can dance but not dance well...or the really great dance group arw average vocally...but this group...wow things are looking up for filipino groups
The boys themselves choreographed this. Their main vocalist is their main choreographer..the guy who you said doesn't go out of breath..the one singing the hight notes (Stell is his name)..

That is the result of sing and dance practices 30x a day, until they reach to 1000 times. These boys are extremely dedicated and hardworking. Their motto is “Practice will never betray you”. They are fit enough not to run out of breath while while singing and doing those strong moves.

SB19 was formed by ShowBT Philippines, the Philippine subsidiary of ShowBT Group in Korea, after the five members were selected out of hundreds of aspiring idols during a talent audition in 2016 and underwent the same type of training provided to K-pop idols, attending classes ranging from voice and dance to personality development and body conditioning.
The group debuted on October 26, 2018, with their first single, "Tilaluha". Their initial effort at promotions, mostly in schools and malls, was met with a lukewarm reception.
2019-present: Mainstream breakthrough
SB19 performing at Lazada 11.11 Supershow in Sofitel Harbour Tent on November 11, 2019.
Their second single, "Go Up", was released on July 26, 2019. The group began gaining attention after uploading their dance practice video for the song to their RUclips channel, which became a viral sensation on Twitter and Facebook after it was shared on the social media platform by a Filipino K-pop fan. This paved the way for the group's appearance in various radio and television shows as well as coverage from different local and international media outlets.
On November 20, 2019, SB19 became the first Filipino act to appear on the Billboard Next Big Sound chart. They also became the first Filipino act to enter the Billboard Social 50, debuting at no. 28 on the week of December 28, 2019 and ascending over the following months. Jeff Benjamin, writing for Billboard, noted that their rise in the chart was aided by a growing international fanbase, and remarked that it was an indication that "more artists [will] continue to look East for inspiration and a larger audience".
SB19 is a five-member Filipino boy band who debuted in 2018 and consists of Josh, Sejun, Stell, Ken, and Justin. They are the first Filipino act trained by a Korean entertainment company to debut in the Philippines. They are also the first Southeast Asian act to enter the top 10 of Billboard Social 50 as well as the first Filipino group to chart on the Billboard Next Big Sound chart. Despite the apparent K-pop influence, SB19 promotes its music as part of Pinoy pop (P-pop), a popular sub-genre of original Filipino music.
