Beautiful...Just beautiful ... It’s cool that they’re going to show this in the theaters worldwide, but nowhere near my home dammit. I hope this comes out on Blu Ray eventually!
5:39 se confundió Papa Het, supongo los nervios. Aún así, un hermoso espectáculo!!!! y pensar que metieron canciones del St. Anger, Death Magnetic y Hardwired en el nuevo S&M❤
I’m a big fan of classical, symphonic metal, Broadway, and opera. The problem with this performance is the orchestra doesn’t have enough power for such an emotionally charged song. It’s too soft and almost ambient. There needs to be more “weight” to it, I guess is the word.
I think Micheal Kamen did a far better job directing and conducting and I'm not impressed with this stage set up (lackluster and lazy is what comes to mind) ... FIRST S&M WAS FAR BETTER SO FAR... but ill wait for the dvd to reserve final judgement... but so far, not good.
I gotta agree. S&M was recorded when they all where in pretty good shape - James has the best vocals there ever - here I'm afraid it the weakest link. I'll wait for final sound to judge but we can already hear that this vocal is not even near S&M 1.
@[ michcio] The setlist for this blows. This is mostly their normal set list. Some may argue that the first S&M had this problem, but it was the first one they did. They could afford to take risks here that they couldn't with the first one, so I am definitely disappointed. The only saving grace for this is Anesthesia and The Day That Never Comes. Cutting a lot of the good songs from S&M1 so that overplayed songs like Enter Sandman, Nothing Else Matters, For Whom The Bell Tolls, One, and Master of Puppets could stay is really disheartening. This whole concert felt more like a cheap promotion of the opening of the Chase Center rather than something Metallica poured their hearts into, but this is consistent with the quality of Hardwired To Self Destruct so I'm not surprised.
@@comicsans1689 well said, I couldn't agree more... I hope they learn from this one and go back to the original format for the next S&M. Besides James not having the vocal range he once did- It still might not be possible to replicate the first S&M. Someone like Michael Kamen was far more experienced in working with rock talent... Not saying this was a bad show, it's just that many of our expectations were exceedly high after hearing (and seeing) the first S&M.
wow very diffrent than the original i love it cant wait for the album 😀
He really doesn't know what to do with his hands without the guitar :D nice performance tho
Haha Papa Het sure looks awkward.
Papa Het was lit that night, also the band and SFO.
Now everything is clear , is James Asking for help, be strong James !

nice rendition
I wish the beginning guitar melody made it in there.
🤘 James is still the man in my book Gungadins ! 😝🤘
🔥❤️🖤🤘🏼🖤❤️🔥
A bit reminiscent of Eleanor Rigby.
ConDor That’s probably my favourite Beatles song... although I think it’s 100% Paul’s

But this has probably better setlist
I'm shitting on it... yet I still want to own the DVD if they release one 😆. Just for the love of Metallica

The Symphonic part is really poor imo. This song is 1000% better with electric
True, this version is so weak and have no power.
I wish James played clean guitar on this. It feels like this is the missing thing
Im not agree whit you, this is perfect
saludos risitas
Poor is your knowledge regarding what symphonic
music is about...wait for the official hd video release!
worst set list ever ! i was hoping for better songs specially the old ones after 20 years !
I'm mad about the songs they removed, including Minus Human.
@@comicsans1689 Minus human was sick. I wanted a new sm version....
Sm2 should be all new songs
its a new version of S&M. What the heck makes you think it should be heavily based on old songs. This makes NO sense.
@@kuplung22 there are many old songs that were excluded from S&M 1999 and they would have been awesome!
