So damn true. There is so many songs which would of sounded amazing with the symphony. Fade to Black, Sanitarium, The Unforgiven, Ride the Lightning, ...And Justice For All. There's far too many miss opportunities, like why play Confusion? Moth Into Flame? Anesthesia? Unforgiven 3 but WITHOUT the guitars?
@@Toma4449 Anesthesia (Pulling Teeth) was great though. Greatest homage that the symphony orchestra could have done to Cliff Burton embodying his mutual love for classical and heavy metal.
Mike Hunt I agree with Confusion and Moth Into Flame, easily could’ve been dropped for better songs like Orion and Fade to Black, but Anesthesia was awesome and Unforgiven III was really good with the symphony.
I saw them do it live and it was one of the best parts of the whole night. Re listening to it now, it took me back so much that I stood up and found myself back at that concert at that moment. I can’t explain how I feel right now but it’s insane. Metallica will always be my favorite. 🤘
I don't know where you are but check your local theater listings. They filmed both shows and they will be showing it in theaters around the world on October 9th. I was at the 2nd show on Sept. 8 and I'll be going to my theater that day just to see it again.

James voice was great at S&M 1 - here he is struggling so much, too much... I hope the video montage will be great, because now it looks lacking the atmoshpere.
You know S&M 1 is packed with a shitload of autotune, right? Not even a bad thing, that's autotune used right and it will be used here too, for sure. What a beautiful performance!

You are not fair to judge lol, comparing a mixed, finished DVD with some audience phone recordings.... wait for it to be released on the DVD and then compare.
@@furiouzzzz The stage set-up was awful, James, Kirk and Rob didn't have much space to rock out unlike S&M at the Berkeley Theatre when they had the whole stage front for themselves. They should have made a circle path around the orchestra outwards so James could walk all around close to the audience with ease without having to walk back into the center, where Lars was, each time he wanted to change mics orientation. Those 3 mini-alleyways cutting through the orchestra were too limiting in terms of stage proximity with the pit.
I was there this night, there was no energy. and when they played about six slow songs in a row my wife fell asleep, not lying. dont beleive the hype it was awful. and I'm embarrassed to say this but we left half way through master of puppets because we preferred to beat that god awful traffic in san fran than to hear nothing else matters and sandman for the 1000th time at the end of their shows. (I went on instagram and the setlist had already been posted so I knew what was coming, so disappointing) I paid $1000 for tickets!!!

H Martinez the show ran for little over 2 hours with a 20-25 mins intermission.
I was kind of annoyed at the setlist, but at least we got a few interesting songs like this one and day.

I was there and although Im not that keen om this song, it sounded fantastic with the symphony!
The symphony makes it sound darker and almost more of an epic. Adds to the dramatics of the story

The audience in the movies sounded way louder.. Here it sounds lame as. They would have boosted the crowd for the video.
