I'm working at a F21 right now and I started 2 months ago and I already want to get the hell out of there but I need the money since I'm starting college next month. I'm still in high school and im the youngest employee there and the managers still give me 7 and a half hours a day, 5 days a week even though I already told them I can only work 3. Half the management sucks, there's a couple creepy guys that come to the store all the time and management still doesn't even want to ban them even though we've caught one of the guys masturbating in the fitting rooms. i finally quit today. I tried calling the whole week to quit, no one answered. I call them again I told my manager I quit. He got an attitude with me and said "your quitting I don't need to talk to you then bye." and I just laughed and said "bye~" This dude wanted me to work when I HAD COLLEGE CLASSES! Even though I told him I couldnt work he had an attitude with me. I also was told i couldn't attend my awards ceremony at my college too

The limit to working there was five hours a day but she had me there for more than six. Plus she literally called me stupid in front of people. I quit after that. I'm blessed I no longer work there or have to work retail. I have a good job now in neither retail or fast food & it makes me appreciate it so much more hearing from your experience. One time, a girl had the stomach flu, and instead of sending her home, they gave her a bucket to puke in and carry around while she worked the fitting room. It was awful. And for me, I never missed a day of work or called out, and after a year of working there and getting a raise, I had a family emergency when my grandma had a stroke and had to leave town for only 2 days to visit her. I even got someone to cover my shifts. And when I told my manager, she rolled her eyes and gave me a sarcastic smile and said "That's not an emergency. What do you think my answer is going to be?" Regardless, I left to visit my grandma anyways and put in my two weeks notice when I got back.
I worked for Tim Horton's in Canada. Brutal barely describes the work environment and highly abusive. All these giant corp r all the same evil shit, good luck to you
Class action lawsuit!! It really sucks! They would publicly call out employees and give away their shifts for "underperformance", e.i., not pushing for more sales, or offering more credit cards. Management was so unprofessional.
I love the Escondido mall lol. Yeah the clearance section at that F21 is horrible just because of the customers. I don't even move anything unless i know i want it and i know where my size is.
My friend works at forever 21, at first he said it was okay the first week. But then the store started getting messy etc. He also worked in the fitting room/cashier. He is planning to put in his two week leave.
The turn over at Forever is RIDICULOUS! Oh and closing...if you're supposed to close, and most store shut doors at 9PM on weekdays, YOU ARE LUCKY if you get out of the store by 1AM. GIRL! Don't even get me started on things found in a dressing room!!! When I was in high school I worked at Kmart....gross. At the Forever I worked at my fellow employees told me where they go to hook up....nice....there were about three vacant storage areas.....again....gross. Some of us feel yer pain sistah! At least now you know that is NOT how to run a store.

i was offered a position for forever 21 in vegas. tell me why i never got a call for an interview yet they told me to come an induction day? and they never told me how much i was gonna get paid and the girl gave me hard time sayin she needs to see my passport to make sure im legal (im from portugal) yet i gave her my social, proof or address and showed her my visa. also i applied for merchandise and they said no u going to be on sales. thats it end of story. so rude and i hadn't even started. so after that i waited 3 weeks. she called and i said sorry no thanks i found another job ( i hadn't at the time) but now found a monday to friday job with no stress. thanks for uploading this. after seeing this and reviews of previous employees there I felt a bad vibe. u shouldn't be rude and that store has 3 floors, i get it, is busy, you gonna be stressed but come on now.
I never worked a clothing retail store, however I worked at a deli department/ hot food case for the duration of my summer graduation and then into college until I graduated college and went into childcare. I think retail in all the respective realms have a backbone of steel requirement no matter where you are, and as long as you have management who are pro-coworker and pro-active in high morale it makes the nastiness of customers easier to deal with. But the double edge sword of nasty customers AND nasty staff? That's aggravating in any work force.
Girl! I feel you! They always put me in the greeter like the danm time! Like teach me how to use the cashier but they never did! I rather be in the fitting room because it’s more relax to me and more organized. But no they always put me in the greeter and I always get attack by the customer like ask someone else! I’m just a greeter! This woman called me “dummy” and I got triggered because I have a learning disability. The closing sucks because I stay there like at 10:30 and I have to wake up at 6 am to caught my 2 bus to college. They told me that school was important but no, they just cared about you work there. Also I don’t even know their merchandise because I don’t wear those kind of clothes because I wear black all the time. Just T-shirt and leggings. Also my store manger is too nice and when I mean too nice, she just being fake. Also her fake voice just annoying and make me feel uncomfortable. She’ll be like “girl, you have go backs.” Im like “talk normal...” anyway, this Saturday will be my last day working there and I’m starting a new job at Hot Topic which I’m excited about! The only pros I have is making friends and I love them! Sorry for a long vent and story. Again, I feel you. Also I tell everyone to like not to work there at all. I warn and I warn them! People who lie about bad service for no reason are usually scammers, in my experience. We've had people try to get money out of us by lying and saying they broke their teeth on olive pips (couldn't show us the damaged tooth, couldn't show us the olive pip, and our menu EXPLICITLY warns people that there may be pips in olives; so we were covered anyway). We've also had people tell us they "found a hair in their food" and then either it was OBVIOUSLY a hair from the head of one of the customers (three customers with grey hair, ALL the staff have dark hair. Pretty fucking obvious it wasn't ours) or again, they can't provide the hair to prove it happened. We also regularly get people who go "No, I ordered this food item and never got it". "Ok, lemme check the docket. Welp, it's not ON there and all servers read orders back." -checks that the server DEFINITELY read the order back "Yep, it's not our fault at this stage. We read the orders back for exactly this reason, and you never told the server there was a problem then." (obviously said in a much more polite manner, but same basic concept) There are always people like that.

And the funny thing was the day after I quit because they still had me in this text message group they sent out a picture of all the employees by the jeans tell me how in the hell were their 3 new employees in that pic? And especially if they are getting only one day a week
I work at that exact location in San Diego, and customers are so rude, I literally would go cry in the bathroom. The main manager doesn’t care about us employees personally unless you kiss her ass or sell credit cards. I could go on and on but you know how it goes I fucking hate working there.

I've thought of working at F21, repeatedly but these videos really make me not want to, so I won't. I'm not sure if the way they treat their employees in the States is the same in Canada, where I live but I don't want to chance it. I think I'll try somewhere else.
