Added to this is the almost aggressive music and a proud Kazakh on his horse, our Dimash, who flies over the steppe and praises the beauty of his homeland and its people with fiery words... and all of this at a breathtaking speed that suits everyone follows the rhythm of the song and emphasizes its power and energy. Hello! It's a great video... what a tourism promotion for Kazakhstan!! Good music and musicians, lyrics, Dimash!! ...splendid as always. Without a doubt, also a great job by the filming team. Although Dimash is an athlete who practices martial arts, swimming and knows how to ride a horse, the stunts were surely filmed by a double. Thank you for sharing this reaction and best regards 🙂
Thank you for your reaction. Dimash's father wrote the lyrics, and his younger brother, Mansur, plays the guitar and drums. Dimash is an accomplished horseman, but I don't believe he did the acrobatics. I believe this is the first time we see Dimash play the kobyz. This mv was commissioned by the Kazakh tourist industry to promote travel to Kazakhstan. Dimash is a great ambassador for Kazakhstan.
Such an awesome video! The song is so energetic and catchy, added to my favorite Dimash songs. There are so many! Dimash certainly has a gifted family. BTW he can ride but I’m pretty sure that was a stunt man. (No way would he be allowed to take risks like that but I think his fans like to imagine he did).🥰 He’s extremely proud of his country and as you say, was likely commissioned, not ordered, to make the video. Kieli Meken is actually an old song of Dimash's from the Digital Show. It was updated for the beginning of the international Nomad Games this year. There was even a team from the US taking part. Partly due to Dimash's concerts there's been a huge rise in tourism in Kazakhstan and this year was a big tourism push. Dimash has been Ambassador for Tourism for a while and this use of the song along with a music video showing some of the important and also sacred places in Kazakhstan makes perfect sense. Dimash has said from the beginning that his purpose is to show his country and his culture to the world. Many people know nothing of Kazakhstan except for that stupid movie Borat and that wasn't even filmed in Kazakhstan but actually done in Romania so I love that Dimash shows how beautiful his country is. The only thing I wish they'd put in are more shots of the wildlife which they are currently winning awards for their conservation of endangered species like the snow leopard and early species of horses and antelope.
@marane-hand I love watching him riding, it's a shame we have only a few short clips. He rides with that rather lazy, one hand on the reins, born in the saddle way of the traditional Kazakh. I've seen Raushan ride too but she rides in a much more western fashion with an English saddle.
The young man on the guitar and drums is Dimash's younger brother, Mansur. Dimash's father Kanat is the producer of the video. Please read about the Great Steppe. You will be amazed with its history. Kazakh men historically climbed on the back of a horse as soon as they could walk. Even though it is a tribal nomad riding in the video, Dimash and his sister are both great riders. He plays the Dombra like no other. It's amazing sound carries you away to another world. He is fiercely patriotic.
