      If you get even contact on a heat press you can probably sublimate it!

    Nice job :-). One quick tip to consider. Try a different sublimation paper if you always get residue left behind. Some quality papers never stick.

    Do you need a convection oven to cure or can you heat press?

      Hello, manufacturer advises oven only. Results will vary if we deviate from the instructions.

    Question. I need a white base. Do I use the glaze first and white or white then glaze?

    I need a white base do i spray it then put it the oven and then put the clear spray on and put that in the oven or just do it in 1 go? Trying to do this on slate but it doesnt seem to be coming out to good

    • @AAPrintSupplyCo
      @AAPrintSupplyCo  Год назад +1

      Hello there, that is correct! Please note, the white base spray is not sublimation coating but needs to be prepared in the same style as you mentioned: white base, oven, clear spray, oven

      Hey there! For your application we want to use the adhesion promoter first: aaprintsupplyco.com/products/subli-glaze-adhesion-promoter and then the clear spray: aaprintsupplyco.com/products/subli-glaze-clear-sublimation-coating

    Question please. I have been sublimating for roughly 15 years. I have always used sawgrass ink, SG1000, and Text R print paper. Will this work for this? Thank you.

    Add on acrylic same step? wont warp in offen?

    • @AAPrintSupplyCo
      @AAPrintSupplyCo  4 месяца назад

      Hello there! We have not performed that level of testing. My concern would be the melting point of acrylic (320F) being the same temperature to cure the Subli Glaze spray. What sort of application did you have in mind?

    You think this will work if i used white primer on wood then the clear glaze on top?? Thank you.

    • @AAPrintSupplyCo
      @AAPrintSupplyCo  8 месяцев назад

      Hello, in theory that should work if you put the Subli Glaze Clear Sublimation Coating on before transferring. The clear glaze coating will be what allows the transfer to apply so the white primer underneath should not interfere. Just be sure to follow all application settings for drying the clear glaze and I think it will work.

    Hi ive been doing subli glaze clear onto wood some wood turns out brillaint others dont does the lightness of the wood matter? Which wood is best to use ive used basswood

    • @AAPrintSupplyCo
      @AAPrintSupplyCo  Год назад

      Hello there, the wood color will 100% impact especially when using clear. Sublimation has no white ink meaning the background will be the color of the item you transfer onto. Lighter the wood the better as a dark wood will mute the colors greatly. There is a white base coat layer you can apply before the clear sublimation coating for high accuracy but the background applied will be white and could change the wood effect

    • @jayf39
      @jayf39 Год назад +1

      @AAPrintSupplyCo thank you I tried to stay away from the white base coat as it doesn't show the wood affect as much, I will find lighter colour woods, thank you

    I have a substrate that is a silver coin of stainless steel. I want to sublimate on it. I’m assuming I’ll need 1. Base white coat. 2. Adhesion promoter 3. Clear sublimation promoter - is that correct? If so, which order do I apply?

    • @AAPrintSupplyCo
      @AAPrintSupplyCo  10 месяцев назад

      Hello! We would advise the adhesion promoter first, then the white base coat and the clear sublimation coating last

    Great video guys thanks for info!! I need a recommendation what can I get if I want to sublimate in raw aluminum sheets what product should I use?

    • @AAPrintSupplyCo
      @AAPrintSupplyCo  Год назад

      Hello, if the finish is very smooth we would advise the adhesion promoter first. If you are looking to use the raw aluminum as the background of the image (in place of any white in the graphic) you can choose from either Matte or Clear sublimation coating. If you desire a true white background, after the adhesion promoter, you can apply a layer of the White Base coating and the add the sublimation coating of your choice.
      I personally do like the look of the aluminum in the design as seen on sublimation photo panels available on the market but if you need colors to match as close as possible the white base coat would be the step to add in the process. Just remember: the white base coating itself is NOT a sublimation coating

    I’ve just started to sublimate and I do mugs and slate plaques, to do mugs I use an air dryer just for it and a heat press for the plaques. I want to try and do tea cups and glass plaques but can I cure them in the air fryer as I don’t have that small oven?

    • @AAPrintSupplyCo
      @AAPrintSupplyCo  11 месяцев назад

      Hello, we have not tested air fryer for sublimation settings to confirm. For the actual subliglaze treatment coating the manufacturer does advise the use of an oven to prepare the items with their spray. It may work but testing beforehand would be a must before offering new products with this method.

    • @AAPrintSupplyCo

      Hey there! Testing on individual items will always be advised to achieve the best results. Sanding would be helpful on particularly rougher texture surfaces

    How do you do it on a clear glass cup? Would you recommend doing the same steps?

    • @AAPrintSupplyCo
      @AAPrintSupplyCo  2 года назад

      Hello, for the glass application I would advise the use of the adhesion promoter mentioned in the beginning of the video for best results. Smooth surfaces such as glass, metal, ceramic etc will benefit from this extra step!

    • @AAPrintSupplyCo
      @AAPrintSupplyCo  Год назад

      Hello, because sublimation is a CMYK printing process (NO WHITE INK) the same rules apply here - no dark garments. This line of products is designed for hard surface application, would not be advised for material use
