Both players are amazing. But Luka has been playing for weaker sides or underdogs most of his career,until he arrived in Madrid of course. He makes players around him better and many of his teammates in Croatia,Real or Spurs say that he’s one of the best. Inesta is an artist but he played for great teams with similar style whole his career and it was a little easier for him. For me it’s Modric.
agree, Modric also plays defensive, attacking and central midfilder, and even played wing. He can play everything and covers the whole field, because he can defend, dribble, dictate tempo, cross and pass. Iniesta while being better in attack because of his finishing and dribbling, he is not really that great at defensive role. But Modric is much much better defensively, and is just little bit behind in dribbling. He is much more complete and thus better.

I see arguments in comments like "Iniesta won World cup, Euro.." but you forgot that Luka is from Croatia, country with 4 milion people with no football infrastructure and one Croatian WC final is more worthy than Spain, Brazil or Italy multiple titles...Modrić is not better than Iniesta, but when someone told that Luka is overrated its stupid. He is 33 and he is still most important player in Croatia and most important midfilder in Real, yes this year he is not in the same shape, but he will be again. Conclusion is that number of Spain trophys cant be an argument that Iniesta (or anyone else) is better player

Both players are amazing. But Luka has been playing for weaker sides or underdogs most of his career,until he arrived in Madrid of course. He makes players around him better and many of his teammates in Croatia,Real or Spurs say that he’s one of the best.

agree, Modric also plays defensive, attacking and central midfilder, and even played wing. He can play everything and covers the whole field, because he can defend, dribble, dictate tempo, cross and pass.
Iniesta while being better in attack because of his finishing and dribbling, he is not really that great at defensive role. But Modric is much much better defensively, and is just little bit behind in dribbling. He is much more complete and thus better.
