Something similar to this story happened to me many years ago. I was 18yrs old at the time and was with multiple women (protected except for one) while on a break with my long term gf. One of the girls answered my phone when we were hanging out together unknowingly to me while I was in the restroom, so my gf got revenge on me, she was intimate with my best friend at the time. They were drinking and OM got her high on pills in which is something she normally didn’t do. Btw the girl that I got with that answered my phone when my gf called me was actually my best friend’s gf at the time and I didn’t know it. She told my gf that “this was her phone now” and she shared in detail what we were up to which made my gf beyond angry so she acted out of spite. It is difficult typing this out on cell phone so my comment may be confusing. What a crazy world we live in.

Yeah cheaters are selfish people. She is going to one up him and if he stays he has to one up her. It's his own fault. Man or woman cheaters are disgusting. She should have gotten proof of him cheating and just left him rather than try to torture him.

He cheated first so I guess payback cheating was warranted. However, the payback cheating was taken to extremes and went beyond just payback. They were both at fault and neither should have done what they did. Divorce was the best answer for all concerned.

OP really doesn't get it, and is making excuses. Marriage is broken when trust is broken. However, revenge cheating isn't the answer. She should have just divorced him. Best revenge is living a happy life.

“I didn’t want to hurt her.” Uh… you mean you wanted to avoid conflict.
“Now, our marriage is in turmoil.” he says, implying it was his wife’s fault for overreacting.

    • @lamargordon6017

Well it is her fault for how she chose to react. If my wife, God forbid, ever cheated on me then cheating back would never occur to me I would just leave. This just proves its worse when women cheat. He did it because he was horny (wrong), she did it specifically to hurt and humiliate him (evil).

    • @goatkiller666

      - I remember being in an argument with my then-wife. I don’t remember what we were arguing about, or what specific thing I said, but at one point I had a witty retort specifically crafted for maximum emotional damage. I remember my own disembodied self realizing that what I’d said wasn’t chosen for how well-crafted of a logical argument it was… just that it would produce maximum hurt. That wasn’t evil, it was just me wanting to win more than I wanted to be right.
And as far as your inference that men and women are different in this regard… I’d need to see some supporting evidence for that. One thing I can say with confidence: men generally believe (whether right or wrong) that we can inflict physical damage to achieve this result. Women live in a world where AT LEAST half of everyone they encounter is stronger than they are. It kind of limits their options.
Then again, I’ve heard that while nearly all domestic violence is a man attacking a woman, nearly all domestic violence that results in death is a woman killing a man. Because the men attack to cause pain and assert dominance. The women attack because they have no other options.
My ex-wife’s grandmother said it best. She said her husband would never even consider hurting her, because she has a frying pan, and he has to sleep some time. Her grandfather had sadly passed before I’d even met her, but from all accounts he was a good man who wouldn’t hurt his wife because hurting people is bad.
Anyway, I think I’ve kind of wandered off my point. I guess what I’m saying is that it takes two to tango. Both of them kept escalating their responses until nukes were flying. We can argue who is more at fault, or which one took things from “we can still fix this” to scorched earth. But if there’s anything my divorce has taught me, it’s that she helped make me the man I was when we split, and I helped make her the woman she was. The emotional baggage that caused the split was on her side, but I’m sure a lot of it was baggage she got from me. And I guess I should have been clearer in my original post. When I pointed out that the dude was implying it was his wife’s fault, I should have said that he was implying it was ONLY her fault, and that he shared none of the blame.
You can walk it backwards… she cheated hardest, he cheated first, she probably rebuffed him several times before then, he prolly did something before then that gave her the idea that she couldn’t just talk it out (or some other reason)… it’s all details, but both of them had to continuously escalate before that point of no return. (Though, admittedly, this is a work of fiction, so… maybe the author was so sloppy that she’s a cartoonish villain. I haven’t listened to it in a couple months.)

    • @lamargordon6017
      @lamargordon6017 6 месяцев назад

@@goatkiller666 I agree with maybe half of what you said. If what you said to your wife was calculated to do maximum damage just so you could win a fight...then that is evil. You were evil. Maybe it was only for that moment, but that is what it was.
I'm glad you got out of it though.

    • @goatkiller666

@@lamargordon6017 - That’s not how I would use the word evil. To me, evil is much beyond that. Evil is irredeemable. But, if I accept your definition of the word, then yeah… in that moment, I was being evil. We can haggle about which word to use… personally, I feel like as long as we both agree on which word means what, as long as we’re on the same page.

The term Cheater is too soft so let's call it for what it is Adultery!
You know the commandment that is listed between Murder and Theft.
Why is it not also considered a Felony punishable by prison time ?

Gonna skip this story. I hate revenge cheating and it just brings me back to when I did it. I was 18 years old, and rather than dump my gf at the time for cheating on me with her ex, I revenge cheated with her former best friend (a friend she had already grown apart from). I immediately felt low and dirty after it happened. I got what I initially wanted, which was to hurt her, but it just made me feel like a dirt bag.

I can definitely say that Opie definitely deserved what he got but at the same time his wife didn’t know better she should’ve just divorced him but instead she listen to her talk with mom to try and get even because honestly this is why relationships nowadays don’t work the way they should because people are trying to get even instead of just breaking up and getting it over with. This is toxic. Honestly, i’m glad that they divorced because both of them were wrong for their actions I know that the man cheated but so did she and they were both still married so neither of them deserve any sympathy what they’re doing because all they’re doing is trying to torture one another but I’m glad that he just ended it before it got way too far.

There is a difference between an affair and someone intentionally rubbing it in your face for the purpose of hurting you.
Someone that hurts you on purpose is someone you can never trust and without trust there is no marriage.
