There is no way to avoid tears, joy, feeling of great respect and the desire that this great and amazing man would live in this time not only because of what our country is going through but I know he had so much more to teach us. He is truly one of my heroes! I teach my four children about the true heroes of every region, race and religion because I want them to see that it doesn't matter what color you are and what language you speak but that we all have a heart, soul and mind that can work as one. Thank you for this video it is definitely my favorite.
Watching this on the 50th anniversary of Dr. King's assassination was really needed. The first time I heard the speech in #6 was when I was watching DRIVING MISS DAISY when Hoke took Miss Daisy to see Dr. King. The best "10 rule" by far definitely hands down and it was on another level. This is the ONLY video that I have watched where I can't pick just one, or top three or top five. Thank you for synthesizing the 10 Kernels/Principles of Life. Dr King lived and exemplified all of them and much more in his life. He lived what he preached and preached what he lived. The challenge for us is to emulate him in word and deed.
Love you, Evan. Thanks for this video. Make sure you don't become someone who is of the opinion that African Americans attract the discrimination that we now and always have suffered. The choice is to become stronger than regular people who don't have to fight discrimination, and achieve in spite of ongoing oppression. We didn't attract the unfortunate situation, and hope you can stay open to what African Americans have to say about the inequality and don't shut down because you feel they are blaming discrimination. Keep up the good work and thanks for focusing on an African American doctor, rather than a sports figure or celebrity, today.

These words are a huge impact on my classmate and me. My teacher is a big fan of this channel and assigned us to watch this video and write 2 paragraph, but I think that more can be written on this video much more than 2 paragraph.

Amazing collection! The instructor of a speech class I took said that the "I have a dream" section of Dr. King's speech was off-script and that section of this most famous speech was impromptu. If true, another reason that section is so filled with emotion. Keep up all the great work!
Probably your best video yet, because it is real and it meant something. King paid with his life for what he loved, great man, with flaws of course like any human but great man. I just wish people would stop evaluating people based on their color or culture. For example just because I'm latino it doesn't not mean I have to be a dem, no. I'm a proud republican.

Yes that was a sad day when dr. Martin Luther King was killed I was in the third grade going to Dillard Elementary School when they announced on the PA system that dark Doctor Martin Luther King was assassinated they let us out of school early we all went home my great-grandparents my parents and my cousin's all of us sat in front of his black and white TV and watch the news we all cried like babies it was a sad sad day but we not in bondage no more there's no more slavery but we're still black the laws have changed some of them but I color Remains the Same it's still hard and still have racism and now today we haven't even more bigger problem polica killing black youth black use a killing each other what is it all boiling down to they took God out of school prayers out of school but once they did that they let the devil in but it's not going to always be like this time change people change and all the wounds would be healed but it starts in the home parents watch your kids monitor your kids we don't want whatever dr. Martin Luther King try to do for all people not just black people all people know where your kids are today know what they're doing out there today it starts in the home I'm proud to have been raised back in the days in the 1957 error when I was born for today I'm all grown up and they're still some racism they try to keep our hand side but we get stronger and my nephews and all the other kids in the Millennium area error going to pay the way for the next generation and the Next Generation and the Next Generation only thing we have to keep doing is keep God first in our lives and everything else will fall into place thank you

Always love Martha Luther King he was truly a man of God but examples by the hard work he did for God and humanity. I could simply see through his eyes into his soul because I was faced with the berry things we spoke about as a young man. Many people chooses to be evil because it seems easier to do but we know is wrong. At times God requires us to do what is righteous and just when the world choose to be evil and ugly put the things of the world.even in death people choose to be foolish and God said you would die in your circumstance of your evil ways. Some people think they go to heaven yet the the ugly in many ways because everything seem to be their way. But God have the final say and think God for Jesus that lead the way for everlasting life.. Martin have truly seen the power of God when he spoke about The mountain top. 😊
I had a dream it's one of my favorite message From Dr. King it remind me that I have a dream that one day that all people will be treated equal in America.
You seem to be misinterpreting Dr. King. For example, your analysis of rule # 6 implies that Dr. King is speaking to the oppressed, but actually, his critique is aimed at white people who may not be racist, but who turn a blind eye towards racism. He is challenging them to stand up and fight alongside their African American brothers and sisters. Yet and still, I commend you for creating this video and I am a fan of your series.

When did Evan start adding commentary to the video clips? I think I like them better when they just play with the lessons listed and I am able to take the lessons for how they might apply to whatever situation comes to mind. Great collection of clips and lessons just the same, as usual!
Larry King’s story was Epic! ... but i liked #3 : “Fight For Yourself”. In my past, i have been so close to my Promised Land, but like the Israelites in the O.T. I get punked by the Enemy and see myself as a puny grasshopper and I give up... and have to wander a bit, but God is faithful, as i am close to the Promise Land of meaningful ministry again, i will follow MLK, his principles, and his God and trust Christ to create in me my own “Emancipation Proclamation” in my own soul” for crossing to the Other side of freedom! ✝️🛡🗡Thank you for this brother!

Always love Martha Luther King he was truly a man of God but examples by the hard work he did for God and humanity. I could simply see through his eyes into his soul because I was faced with the berry things we spoke about as a young man. Many people chooses to be evil because it seems easier to do but we know is wrong. At times God requires us to do what is righteous and just when the world choose to be evil and ugly put the things of the world.even in death people choose to be foolish and God said you would die in your circumstance of your evil ways. Some people think they go to heaven yet the the ugly in many ways because everything seem to be their way. But God have the final say and think God for Jesus that lead the way for everlasting life.. Martin have truly seen the power of God when he spoke about The mountain top. 😊

You seem to be misinterpreting Dr. King. For example, your analysis of rule # 6 implies that Dr. King is speaking to the oppressed, but actually, his critique is aimed at white people who may not be racist, but who turn a blind eye towards racism. He is challenging them to stand up and fight alongside their African American brothers and sisters. Yet and still, I commend you for creating this video and I am a fan of your series.

Evan Carmichael hi Evan mice video I want 2 finish writing my book called hiding behind the tears with the money achieved I will open up a homeless shelter I was a homeless teenager off and on for 5 or 6 years my mother was a alcoholic my father disowned me then I grew up with ants grandmother foster homes even went back 2 my mother several times 2 live the beatings I couldn't take any more I then went back 2 school study 4 my ged and got it worked 2 jobs from age 19 to 49 years old wit God's help i don't drink smoke use drugs i cook 4 home less people twice a week Im 53 now o look 39 but I took care of myself I love Martin Luther king speeches love God pray 4 me my dream will come true and I open up my shelter in Newark new Jersey God bless

Larry King’s story was Epic! ... but i liked #3 : “Fight For Yourself”. In my past, i have been so close to my Promised Land, but like the Israelites in the O.T. I get punked by the Enemy and see myself as a puny grasshopper and I give up... and have to wander a bit, but God is faithful, as i am close to the Promise Land of meaningful ministry again, i will follow MLK, his principles, and his God and trust Christ to create in me my own “Emancipation Proclamation” in my own soul” for crossing to the Other side of freedom! ✝️🛡🗡Thank you for this brother!
