14 Days Silent Hiking in Senja

- North Norway has experienced an unusual summer this year. Dry and worn are words you don't hear often in Norway. The south did not look promising so we decided to spend three weeks up in Senja.
There was a fair amount of unfinished hiking business. The first few days were in Flakstadvåg, hiking to Leikvika and up Littje Salberget.
Kvænan, between Flakstadvåg and Sifjord was my personal favourite. The south west of Senja is much less touristy and the only place where you can still have hikes for yourself.
We also went for Strytinden, Lonketinden, Hesten and Grytetippen. I would not recommend the last two during regular hiking hours. It's more of a highway up there than a hiking path.
It's nice to have seen it, but especially Hesten, I would probably not go for a second time.

Stunning video! Really enjoyed watching all the hikes you did in Senja, its a special island. And your dog is the cutest! We got the pleasure to explore Senja this May and June, it was one of our most favourite places in Norway!

Falls ich gleich noch eine blöde Frage hinterher schieben darf: Wo genau in Norwegen wohnst du? Und bist du offen für Leute, die für ein paar Wochen auf deine Farm kommen und mit anpacken? Wir sind im Sommer sowieso da und hätten total Lust neben dem umher-reisen einfach nochmal ein paar Wochen irgendwo zu leben. :) Deine Farm sieht traumhaft aus - vielleicht kannst du ja aber hier und da ein bisschen Hilfe gebrauchen?

what would you tell someone hoping to immigrate to Norway about living in the sunny months? Should I just expect flies and mosquitos all spring and summer? tysm.
For us it's bad in end June throughout July, but that is also when we usually are along the cost :)
