U-Matic Videotape Simulation in Blender

- still pretty early on in its development but this is how it is currently. created entirely in blender. sort of a fantasy videotape simulation not really grounded in anything but my own ideal look like its sort of a mix between low band and sp and like other stuff just to make it pretty and not really modeled on technical accuracy bc i dont really have much reference to go off of lol. still lots of room for improvement as its only a few days old and theres still a few things to do. the digital graphics chapter is the most up to date version of it as of typing this bc i was tinkering around with it as i rendered each segment lol.

You have won the VHS emulation game.
Forever.
aww ty
@@analogmother I want 70s retro halo look
I want 90s CGI look
I actually gasped out loud. The scanimate style graphics are amazing. The attention to little things like the colour bleed a and the edges on the clock when the first shot zooms in is so perfect!
I hate you for being able to accurately replicate the style of graphics I grew up with.
I bestow on you my highest compliment. You are the best. The winner. Analog Mother for president 2024!
🥳🎉
omg thank you i will b presadant in amerca
Love the ringing and the off-kilter diagonal line crawling. I have no idea why U-matic did that.
ty idk either but it makes my eyeballs go boing boing yum yum

Holy fuck, that is *extremely* impressive! As someone that transfers VHS recordings as a hobby, I thought I saw everything there was to see in terms of VHS filters... Jesus Christ, this is the best filter I have ever seen. Absolutely incredible!
This is by far the best videotape effect I've seen
Yeah, not gonna lie, this stuff is absolutely awesome! The presentation is so pristine, I felt like watching actual archived footage, but even better given how it all tied together. I really want to learn myself more about how to make stuff like this now, this is amazing!
bro, these vibes are incredible
I grew up in the ‘80s, and this is exactly how I remember it!
Absolutely incredible! Would love to see the Behind the Scenes of this (or of course would pay good money for tutorials/files) 😮
thank uuu
I'm buying this as soon as this comes out.
Hope someday that this will become a real blender addon. This is god tier.
I would 1000% buy this as an addon or otherwise. Great work!
i really hope you pull this off, because i can't imagine the amount of money people would be willing to pay to use these amazing filters. top-notch stuff
I'd give you $20 for a pre-order before release if I could.
Wow! This is ridiculously impressive. Right down to the buzzing in the audio getting slightly louder when text appears on the screen! Your attention to detail is fantastic.
He doesn't make the VHS, HE IS THE VHS!
i love the program 2 song
I live for this stuff
Perfection. You've absolutely nailed it!
this is super impressive. good job!

Would absolutely hire you for projects if you're available. This is stellar.

I would wish as well, WUFU keeps her scanimate and analog effects behind the coco cola vault, never to see the light of day
scanimate is just halos
Is there any way we could get a tutorial on this effect?
