Just bought a Timemaster yesterday and this is the first upgrade I will be doing to the mower. I even used your Amazon list for products. Thanks for the great video!
Hey Awesome Knight! This mower should just come with a bigger tank in the first place. You will be very happy you did this mod when you look back at your lawn after it’s cut and you didn’t have to stop to refuel. Thanks for watching!
Sad that you just spent like $1600.00 and you have to spend more $$ to upgrade the fuel tank. No disrespect but Toro must be laughing that they are selling their timemaster mower and watching those customers upgrading their mower. Hopefully they are embarrassed concerning this and will improve this mower plus their super recycler 21 inch mower to be as perfect as possible. Other manufacturers I assume see this and they have an opportunity to grow their customer base. I have no issues being loyal to Toro super recycler mower but they need to improve what they have now.
For those interested in a new larger tank, if there was something available to simple rip and replace the Manufacturer tank with a new larger tank that fit in place of it, would that be something folks would be interested in? I ask because I'm looking into manufacturing something and trying to gauge interest and get an idea of qty I'd have to order.
What this mower needs is a big secondary tank with a fitting on it's underside that matches the factory gas cap, so it just screws right on top of the factory tank, thus using the capacity of both tanks. Done!
Great video. In fact, i was so inspired I built one using the specs you outlined. I have it all assembled, painted, and ready to install. I purchased new gas hose, clamps, fuel petcock, and filter to install. Now i am having second thoughts about installing it. My yard is not all that big and I dont really need it to be honest. So it is available for another TM owner to use for the costs i have in it plus shipping. Give me a shout here if you want it.
CJ thanks bud! Thought about that! Figured I’d keep it straight forward for this video. But definitely not a bad idea. Could definitely maximize both fuel tanks then. Mow forever possibly! Thanks for watching!
Had the same thought. The larger tank is a nice upgrade, but I'd hate to make the original tank redundant. A simple splitter ("Y" or "T" fitting) between the tanks and the filter would do the trick for an extra $2 bucks.
Awesome Bruce! Mines been working great for a few years now! No issues and no stopping to fill up! You wont be disappointed my friend! Thanks for watching!
Jon's Daily Hustle no problem at all bud! Glad you found this helpful! Trust me, when you get this mower you’ll ask yourself why you didn’t get it sooner!
And with an extra fuel shutoff and a 1/4" barbed fuel splitter the old tank can also still be utilized, for even more runtime; think of it as the "reserve", like on a motorcycle! I just put a tank on my DR SP-30 mower; it came off a decommissioned 1980s Lawn Boy Commercial 2-stroke. The SP-30 also has an absurdly small tank. What are the manufacturers thinking? 'Guess they're not!
I have had several issues on my 2016 Toro 30 in TimeMaster. It NEVER starts hot. There was a recall to change the crummy paper fuel filter, but i solved that design flaw, where the fuel feed is only 1/2 in drop from the tank outlet to Briggs 120000 series engine carb. I lashed on my Honda GCV190 Tank and a nice long hose, with a Disc filter and Shutoff valve from Home Depot. The Briggs recall is to install a metal HEAT SHIELD between the cyl head and float bowl, to fix hot restarting. I often do better than that, just get some silver foil faced R-MAX foam insulation, maybe cut 3x5in,, smash a recess to fit behind the float bowl with a small hammer, and shove it in place above the black plastic belt guard cover. surfaces, that worked for a few years, then needed to cool things down with Starting fluid or Gumout to restart hot. I then replaced the carbs several times with the inexpensive ones on Amazon. Worked a little better than Briggs OEM. FINALLY, I did replace the Magneto coil and shutoff switch, but yesterday PROVED THE NEW ONE IS INTERMITTENT. Got an adjustable Spark Tester, set for 10KV gap or larger - NO OUTPUT!!!!!!!!!!! Then I took the old one, sanded the pole pieces and TAPED the entire HV lead with 3M Electrical tape, and split the plastic insulator sleeve from my new Spark Tester, covering the CHAFED section where the muffler heatshield abradedi it. BINGO, it finally started! I then checked the Compression cold, but forgot to open the throttle plate - it read almost 30lbs. We also replaced the crummy HEAD GASKET again, with the 2nd gasket in the $42 Amazon kit, which HAS A NICE METAL fire ring, but is for the 223CC Upgraded engine all the Yard Service guys pay $500 new, to finally fix the underpowered temperamental 190. I found the old gasket BLEW OUT near the Exhaust side, a second time, vapor from all my Starting Fluid was coming out. Another telltale sign was the 4 head bolts were NOT TIGHT. I should have retourqued to the 125 in-lbs spec AGAIN after a month. Since 70lbs seems to be the spec for these 190CC motors, I WILL be buying a new Piston, Rings, and Wrist pin set, and the 2 different length Rod bolts to raise the crummy 30lbs that is causing stalling issues. And my friend set the VALVE clearances ay 0.006in, AFTER INSTALLING THE NEW thicker gasket. It starts if I put the choke rod in, but soon I fave to remove it, and flip the choke spring 180 degrees over, to the main governor spring post, r it will bog down too rich! When I get anther $500 saved up, I am going to Toro Menders in ATL to buy a replacement 223CC engine, and a new DECK for another $100. Final note, there is a Hi Lift Blade kit, including a new front V shaped shield that bolts in with the front wheels assy - critically IMPORTANT, IT USED TO just fill the chute with grass. ------------- for the past 8 years it will FILL the bag with even wet grass- My thoughts, nothing else is safe on my sloped back yard, and at 150lbs for me, I can easily handle this 135lb mower. Just skip the $200 more Electric Start option, because it will be clunkier to use there. Just my thoughts after 8 years of Time Master troubles. And I replaced many broken cables, worn bearings, and belts Fyi, Hilary in GA
Great Job. Love my mower but have to refuel three times to mow my grass. I strategically place a one gallon gas can as I mow. Toro must own a gas can manufacturing company.
MaintenanceBy Nathan I used to do something similar where I had a pre-determined path so I could stop about half way to refuel. Toro must be up to something lol! Thank you for watching!
Hey Tony! Not a tough install at all. I think I have about 75 hours or so on the mower with that tank now. Been working great ever since I put it on! Never had to touch it since. Saves me time! Thanks for watching another my friend!
Timemaster owner here, Toro should make a Timemaster limited edition to test the waters. It should have a gallon gas tank, bigger, softer wheels on back and front and casters on the front. Plus, it should have 1/4" increments in height adjustment. Those features alone would be well worth it and very popular say at $1799.00 for electric start. There are many of us home owners who looked at Turfmaster, Skag, Worldlawn, Ferris/Snapper and chose the Timemaster due to its features, ease of use and price compared to the so called "professional" machines.

Flint Layfield thanks Flint! This video took over 10 hours to film and edit. A lot of details had to be addressed in it but I think it could help some toro owners out there. These mowers have quite the following. As far as the mowers go, I have a side job flipping parts on older John Deere walkbehind mowers. The parts for those mowers aren’t made anymore and hard to find. I buy them cheap on Craigslist or FB marketplace and I sell the parts on eBay. Like the toro timemaster, those mowers have a cult following too. I can usually make about $350-$600 per mower in parts depending on the quality of the parts. Helped me put a nice down payment on my truck a little while back. Now it just funds all my lawn/garage nonsense lol! Maybe I’ll shoot a video one or two of them, well see if time allows. How’s things with you lately bud?
Great Job the only thing I do not like about my Timemaster is the fuel tank 3-4 fills to cut my lawn this maybe a early spring project next year !!!!!!
You would think Toro/ Briggs will upgrade this situation? Plus you said that this timemaster does not mulch as good as the 21 super recycler correct? Plus very expensive
Noticed when you lifted the rear end on jack stands, there was some type of "bar" on the back end. What's that for and where did you get it? BTW: nice job!
Tom Fischer hey thanks a lot! I appreciate it! The black bar is actually the frame that attaches the toro time master striping kit. The frame actually is super handy for lifting the mower and jacking it up for cleaning/ maintenance! Thanks for watching bud and be sure to check out my other timemaster videos!
Have you reviewed Ryobi cordless dethacher? I need a cordless dethacher and looking for you to recommend one. Much appreciated. Love your vids! Best regards
I’d definitely say so! I never have to worry about running out of gas in the backyard and have to run to the front yard to go get it. Every time I’d start it up, I’d have this though of, “would I be able to cut on one take today or not?” Never have to ask myself that question now. I plan to keep this mower for many years so to do it now is worth it in the long run. Plus I found some relatively low cost items to upgrade it with. The few extra bucks were worth the peace of mind!
@@GarageGear I picked up my Timemaster this past Friday from HD. This mower is quite Powerful! For instance, some YT vids don't give an accurate view of how fast it is in terms of walk speed! If I depress the Personal Walk-Speed lever all the way in,...I will have to Run behind the mower. Yes RUN! Also, I just did my first mod of turning the Pull Cord assembly to the Left,...my next mod will be a Hour Meter. I'm not sure if I'll need a large gas tank until I make my first full mow. Oh,..one more thing, I saw many vids where there was concerns about the Timemaster climbing hills! There is one area in my yard that I consider a Hill,...as in,...I have to use more effort to walk up it let alone mow grass on it. Well, my Timemaster flew up that incline as if it wasn't even there. This mower is crazy Powerful! One last caveat,...and I the only person that thinks it look like an exotic super car when view at a 45-degree profile angle! Simply stunning...
@@JMD535 it is a very powerful mower! And I agree with you on the exotic car caveat! Everyone stares at it in my garage. It’s kinda funny to watch their faces! It’s just such a big mower and unique design people aren’t used to seeing!
Hi, JB how in the world did you get 6 lasts forever john deere mowers with Kawasaki engines? impressive find, keep all of them, just incase one breaks never hurts to have doubles and triples.
A guy sold me all six and a huge box of parts for $300. They all had some major flaw except one which I gave to my dad. All the rest I parted out on eBay. Great mowers though! 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you! I like the timemaster but then there are reasons I don’t like the timemaster. I will be doing a video on this soon. I don’t like it because of the grass is even slightly damp it clogs up. Thanks for watching Galvez!
Hey Robert, I was trying to see if this could be done a better budget. And it worked! The bigger factory tank from the commercial version was between $75-$100 just for the tank. I think I got all the supplies for my build for $75. Thanks for watching!
@@robertsmithUH60driver just to help you out... my lawn is 10,000 square feet and takes about 45 minutes to mow. It usually runs out between 45-50 minutes. Great mower... puny gas tank!
Same problem on my stihl rm655rs with the Briggs, does 2/3 of the lawn then run out of fuel. I guess the idea is you don't leave old fuel in the tank too long. Also a compact package that fits many machines.
I'm doing the same thing to my Toro 22" Recycler. I have it running at 3900 RPM with a medium lift blade instead of the mulching blade and it runs out of gas before I can finish mowing.
@@JmanRx81 perfect! That was my biggest concern on the timemaster. The side I wanted it on has the exhaust and that would probably melt it lol! Email me a photo when it’s done. Like to see it! Garagegearjb@gmail.com
Yea they made the gas tank small for reasons. One they don't want people not using all the fuel in the cell frequent enough. Fuel goes bad, gums the carb. Two. Got to have a sell point to upgrade to the Turfmaster. I bought a used turfmaster that's 3 years old for 1500 off Facebook Marketplace. Worth the extra 200 bucks in my opinion.
Screaminpotato couldn’t agree with you more bud! Definitely worth it! Don’t have to worry anymore about constantly filling it up. One and done! Lol! Thanks for watching!
Unless it is a extreme failure, in whichcase mods like this dont make a diffrence, id rather just fust fix it myself, thatway i canpregent it happening in the future
The world would be a very dark place lol! That same zip tie is still holding strong for me! I doubt I’ll ever have to swap it out. Thanks for watching John! You Da MAN! 👍
I am between the Timemaster and the SCAG 30. That is a lot of work for 1 gallon. Plus you still have pulley issues. I figure the gas yank work and pulley issues and being more industrial is worrh at least $500 off the price on the SCAG 30.
Hey Davison, the Scag 30 just came out not too long ago and I kinda wish I waited. The timemaster is a mid grade homeowner mower. The scag is more commercial grade so there will be big differences. Consider how much you have to mow and how much you will use it. I like the time master but there is a growing number of reasons I don’t like it which May end up in a video soon. I’m not sure if there are any current issues with the scag30. But they may be worth a look. Hope this helps! 👍
I have 2 of these for my business, I also hate the foam piece in the tank, makes hard to fill sometimes. I love this MOD! thanks I will allow me to mow some of the properties I use these on longer between mows! New Sub, check out my stuff it you get a chance. I think I may try this mod! maybe... If I do it, I may just use thicker straps. Love this mod lol - So I'm curious, did you keep the mod on your mower?
Been using this mod for two years now no issues! Works great and I can mow for over 2.5 hours! You won’t regret doing it to your machine! I will definitely check out your channel! Thanks for watching my green lawn!
Man, you nailed it!!! The small fuel tank is one of the most glaring shortcomings of this mower; adding in the low turbulent deck which allows clogging and the most irritating of them all, the marginal power in thicker/taller mowing situations....and still no redesign!!! Question: could a more powerful predator engine be mount to this deck without much modifications?
Hey Manova, they definitely need to redesign this thing! After using it for a for a few years you start to see all it’s short comings like you said. If you can make an engine swap work it may help. Might be an issue with the shaft length though. I head this is a common issue! Thanks for watching!
I’m not selling this as a pre-built kit. I included all of the parts in the description. You can purchase everything you need on amazon. Thanks for watching!
@@MyGreenLawn2019 cool opportunity but too many ventures going on at the moment. Plus I made this RUclips video so people could do it themselves right?
You could have just mounted the aux tank and put a bulkhead in-between them ..one option. I have a Time master. The big issues with this mower are the tank is too small ,it clogs too easily and needs a better engine. Honda power would really be a better motor
Run a zip tie around the OEM tank fill spout to one of the brackets for the new tank to stop the bouncing. Jesus I typed that about 10 seconds before you did that mod yourself.
After spending $600, then you got to add a small gas tank you install yourself? No way! All I want to do is cut my darn lawn. Toro needs to talk to Briggs and Stratton about this, which I assumed they have.
Hey Erich, I’m pretty sure toro keeps things this way so you are forced to by the commercial mowers with the bigger tanks. They’ve been running these Briggs engines on the home owner models for years now. At this point it’s unlikely we’ll see any change. Thanks for watching!
At about $40 plus dollars with hoses brackets gas valve your looking at close to $60 plus dollars. At some point maybe buying a new mower with higher gas capacity is the cheaper long term option.
Hey Saul, there are not many other similar sized mowers in this category at this price point of $1100. You could go with a commercial version of this mower for $2000 that comes with a 1 gallon gas tank. Been mowing with this bigger tank now for about 1.5 seasons and it has saved me countless minutes of not having to stop and refill. Thanks for watching!
I heard they do that so commercial guys are forced to buy the more commercial models and spend the extra grand. You only find the gallon tanks on the commercial models.
@@arturasnesakysiu1684 Turn off the air conditioning and roll the windows up for better gas mileage. lol Hopefully, your only putting the higher priced premium gasoline in it anyways.
OR ... you could take a 1 liter plastic coke bottle, cut out the bottom and put it on top of the tank, smear some silicone caulk around the opening, then secure it with coat hangers duct taped to the bars. A Red Green special. For added efficiency you could weld the coat hangers then accept Jesus as your personal savior. What could go wrong? If the gas spills on the engine and explodes, you have to ticket to heaven. OR .. another great idea. Make a little 'hammock' between the bars that would carry a pint of gas. You run out, viola! no running back to the garage.
All that extra work and modification with holes now in your mower and still a wobbly gas tank. Not to mention you probably voided what ever warrenty 3-5 years you had on the machine.......... Dude just fill the tank 1 extra time. How hard can that really be.
@@jaycoffey4611 thanks for the info Jay! I am always interested to see what similar models in this 30” category can do. There aren’t many options to choose from. Thanks for sharing 👍

20 hours going strong. The zip tie is there to stop the wobble it had. It’s working out great. I can mow for 2 hours and double cut without stopping. Thanks for watching!
Good video but DO NOT cut metal with that style of grinder! Sooner or later IT WILL kick out of your hands! I have one with the dead man trigger (Dewalt) , when it kicked out of my hands the cutting wheel hit the inside of my leg only putting a small scrape in my jeans. Had I been using the style you have it would have cut open my femoral arterie. Again good video but that grinder is an accident waiting to happen.

Yes… I like!!!
Thanks for watching Joe!
Great idea!
It’s been working GREAT! No issues whatsoever!
Congrats on your purchase too!
nice job
Thanks Greg! Thanks for watching!
Good job buddy
Question for you would you recommend a time master
Congrats for other people and I like to buy one of those
Thank you! I like the timemaster but then there are reasons I don’t like the timemaster. I will be doing a video on this soon. I don’t like it because of the grass is even slightly damp it clogs up. Thanks for watching Galvez!
Good job. Why not get the factory tank for the other mower?
Hey Robert, I was trying to see if this could be done a better budget. And it worked! The bigger factory tank from the commercial version was between $75-$100 just for the tank. I think I got all the supplies for my build for $75. Thanks for watching!
@@GarageGear Thanks for the reply. Thinking about getting to mower this spring. Might as well add the larger tank. I have a good size area to mow.
@@robertsmithUH60driver just to help you out... my lawn is 10,000 square feet and takes about 45 minutes to mow. It usually runs out between 45-50 minutes. Great mower... puny gas tank!
can u just conect new tank to old one and so you have 2 gallons of gas?
Yes you could do that!
Same problem on my stihl rm655rs with the Briggs, does 2/3 of the lawn then run out of fuel. I guess the idea is you don't leave old fuel in the tank too long. Also a compact package that fits many machines.
Thanks for sharing
I noticed using non ethanol fuel gets more run time.
TG Lawn Maintenance yes I feel the same way and on that original tank every little bit helps. Thanks for watching!
I'm doing the same thing to my Toro 22" Recycler. I have it running at 3900 RPM with a medium lift blade instead of the mulching blade and it runs out of gas before I can finish mowing.
Go for it! It’s not a hard job to do. I think the most difficult thing is finding the proper placement of the tank! Thanks for watching Josh! 👍
@@GarageGear mine fit perfectly behind the engine
@@JmanRx81 perfect! That was my biggest concern on the timemaster. The side I wanted it on has the exhaust and that would probably melt it lol! Email me a photo when it’s done. Like to see it! Garagegearjb@gmail.com
I'd use a brass Y or T fitting and use both tanks
Thanks for sharing
Instead of drilling into the frame i just used JB weld.... its good shit
Not a bad idea! Thanks for sharing leadnsteel! 👍
Thanks for sharing Chris! How do you like the turf master? Which engine model does it have on it?
Run a y fitting at the fuel filter and hook up to the oem gas tank. Even more gas
Yep that’s a great idea too! Thanks for sharing!
Nice work! On the topic of the warranty... I’d think it’s rare that you have to send a mower in for warranty. Larger gas tank is well worth it.
Nice!!!
Works great! Thanks for watching Daniel!
I can't imagine life without zip ties.
The world would be a very dark place lol! That same zip tie is still holding strong for me! I doubt I’ll ever have to swap it out. Thanks for watching John! You Da MAN! 👍
@@GarageGear good stuff, buddy!
Lol
WHY ? not tee in the original tank?
You could try that 👍
Y don't you use a spliter and use both tanks sir?
You could do that
I have 2 of these for my business, I also hate the foam piece in the tank, makes hard to fill sometimes. I love this MOD! thanks
I will allow me to mow some of the properties I use these on longer between mows!
@@GarageGear thanks Garage Gear. If I do mod can I mention your channel? Also thanks for your support
@@MyGreenLawn2019 absolutely my friend! Cool channel by the way! 👍👍
@@GarageGear thanks for checking it out
@@MyGreenLawn2019 no problem my friend! You’ve got quite a few videos!
FUCK YEAH! TECUMSEH ALWAYS WINS WITH A CLEAN CARB
thanks for watching!
I wish you could get this exact mower with a Honda GVC200 engine. The B&S engine is a deal breaker for me.
ME TOO! Even if they had this mower with an upgraded engine they would sell! Thanks for watching CM!
you can get a kawasaki or a kohler swap
FYI, The gas shut-off should be on the tank side of the filter for easy filter change
Thanks for sharing
FORGET-WARRANTY-I'M GOING TO TRY THIS WITH MY NEW TIME MASTER.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You won’t be disappointed! Mine’s working great! Never have to stop mid way and refill! Thanks for watching!
I think it’s a fun upgrade. Just for the WHY NOT factor lol
45 minutes is plenty for me before I need a beer break. If I want extended run times, I'd just use a riding lawn mower
Thanks for watching jwkaman!
I would have used a tee to use both tanks. Filling one tank would fill both
Ryan Toner after completing this project I realized that. Definitely a good idea! Thanks for watching!
send me the the tank and the brackets how much?
I’m not selling this as a pre-built kit. I included all of the parts in the description. You can purchase everything you need on amazon. Thanks for watching!
@@GarageGear there ya go Garage gear. Another business opportunity lol
@@MyGreenLawn2019 cool opportunity but too many ventures going on at the moment. Plus I made this RUclips video so people could do it themselves right?
Id put a 1/4 inch y in fuel line run off both tanks.
Good tip!
And I got this mower lol
Hit it with a bigger tank! You won’t be disappointed! Lol
You could have just mounted the aux tank and put a bulkhead in-between them ..one option. I have a Time master. The big issues with this mower are the tank is too small ,it clogs too easily and needs a better engine. Honda power would really be a better motor
It definitely clogs too easily! I was thinking of doing a video on that soon. Thanks for watching excelerater!
This makes me think twice about getting this mower. Mowing ability of Cub Cadet sucks but at least it has a big fuel tank.
In this mower size bracket, I really don’t think there is a good option out there. Each mower has its own issues. Thanks for watching Centauri!
@@GarageGear Yeah. I agree. I would get a ride on but have steep hills.
@@WillyEast got it! In this case the timemaster takes the win!
Run a zip tie around the OEM tank fill spout to one of the brackets for the new tank to stop the bouncing. Jesus I typed that about 10 seconds before you did that mod yourself.
When it doubt, zip strip it out! Thanks for watching!
@@GarageGear Absolutely!
OMG..............the other day I had to add gas to my tank on my TM....that's 8 seconds I'll never get back
Thanks for sharing
After spending $600, then you got to add a small gas tank you install yourself? No way! All I want to do is cut my darn lawn. Toro needs to talk to Briggs and Stratton about this, which I assumed they have.
Hey Erich, I’m pretty sure toro keeps things this way so you are forced to by the commercial mowers with the bigger tanks. They’ve been running these Briggs engines on the home owner models for years now. At this point it’s unlikely we’ll see any change. Thanks for watching!
I have a Timemaster and would love a bigger gas tank, but this just seems like way too much to do. But that's me.
@@stephenbardy6570 for me it was worth doing. Only took about an hour or so
Could you T the two together? lol SuPeR bIg GaStAnK
@@bac26c sure could
At about $40 plus dollars with hoses brackets gas valve your looking at close to $60 plus dollars.
Briggs is to blame I have a craftsman with a 223, my 190cc has a much bigger tank.
I heard they do that so commercial guys are forced to buy the more commercial models and spend the extra grand. You only find the gallon tanks on the commercial models.
I’m pretty sure the manufacturer would use this to deny any warranty claims
🤷♂️oh well! My TM has over 75 hours on it now. That warranty has been long gone. Thanks for watching!
Forget about a bigger gas tank try getting a better gas cap.
Are you referring to the one on the Briggs engine that comes with the mower?
Not really, it just kept clogging up, leaving our lawn looking so tremble. A great mulching finish. But the clogging was just to bad. Kiwi
Thanks for watching
Im almost positive that the reason for the small gas tank is to push commercial guys into upgrading to the toro commercial 30
You make a very good point here! Thanks for watching!
comercial use is different, home owner wont use so much fuel, means fuel will go bad if left. Also lawn becomes heavier and not economical
I mow every 3-5 days. Fuel doesn’t sit for long in my tank. Thanks for checking out my channel.
@@GarageGear Well still it will be worse mile per gallon. More heavier it is more you will spend on gas
@@arturasnesakysiu1684 I’ll have to look up my time master on myfueleconomy.gov lol 🤣
@@arturasnesakysiu1684 Turn off the air conditioning and roll the windows up for better gas mileage. lol
Hopefully, your only putting the higher priced premium gasoline in it anyways.
OR ... you could take a 1 liter plastic coke bottle, cut out the bottom and put it on top of the tank, smear some silicone caulk around the opening, then secure it with coat hangers duct taped to the bars.
Great ideas Pat! Thanks for watching!
Don’t get the commercial version of this mower it is way to heavy
I heard that. I wonder why? The components all seem similar. Any ideas?
More metal parts. It is heavy. The timemaster is great for knocking out small lawns because it is a 30 but you can still maneuver it efficient.
@@TaylorLuna-fs9eo good to know! Thanks for sharing Evan! 👍
For over $2000 you shouldn’t have to do this lol
That’s why I sold mine! Thanks for watching
All that extra work and modification with holes now in your mower and still a wobbly gas tank. Not to mention you probably voided what ever warrenty 3-5 years you had on the machine.......... Dude just fill the tank 1 extra time. How hard can that really be.
Did you watch the whole video?
World lawn has a bigger gas tank and better engine
Hey Jay, I’ve heard this a few times but how is the cut quality? If you have any information on this please let me know! Thanks for sharing! 👍
The cut quality is good in my book with the 2 mulching blades but with those blades it doesn't like wet grass
@@jaycoffey4611 thanks for the info Jay! I am always interested to see what similar models in this 30” category can do. There aren’t many options to choose from. Thanks for sharing 👍
Maybe you should patent this idea. Then Toro could buy it from you for $$$$$$.
I like where your head is at Dave! Toro has a gallon gas tank on their commercial mowers but it’s ridiculously expensive. Some people have put it on the timemaster! I was trying to showcase the budget version lol! Thanks for checking out my channel!
I just refill the gas tank more often. Compared to THIS bull$hit, I still spend less time by the end of two seasons.

That's not going to work...need to zip tie it
20 hours going strong. The zip tie is there to stop the wobble it had. It’s working out great. I can mow for 2 hours and double cut without stopping. Thanks for watching!
Don't really care about warranties
I agree! They are short lived and kind of a hassle! Thanks for watching!👍
If your using this mower commercially, there's no warranty anyways.
@@chrisgraham2904 nope I have a 2 year warranty on my mower, commercially
@@chrisgraham2904 I found this on the toro website regarding any and all actual warranties. www.toro.com/getpub/167328
