challenge idea, go to the wheel of teams, and whatever team you land on, you have to recreate it. For example, you land on the suns, you go to 2k, do a fantasy draft, and with the assets, you need to get all the current suns players (bradley beal, devin booker, KD, ayton, etc) but once you get everyone, if you don’t feel confident that you can win a championship, you make trades to make them better

I miss ratings systems like the ones Nba Live 2005 had. You should have players in the 30 and 40 ratings, it should be a huge achievement to get to an 85.
Same bro. I played NBA Live 2005 religously. I didn't buy another basketball game until nba 2k11 and I was so confused when I saw bums have a 70 overall rating. Took me forever to get used to 2k's rating system.
nah it makes sense to start at 60 and ”bad players” being like 68 since the league is a lot more competitive and hard to get into so obviously every player is amazing at basketball

Getting to an 85 in 2k is still a huge achievement for a player
The difference between like Jokic and a 35yo who never really plays is astronomical. 2K doesn’t want to hurt peoples feelings tho, literally. So many guys ask what their overall is and/or really care. Also the people who make the ratings, it seems like they aren’t like hoop heads.
I’ve seen legit solid 3&D wings that start be like 75s with D perimeter defense and sht. So I think it’s a mix of not wanting to hurt peoples feelings and then not caring/knowing about role players in small markets or w/e. Current DeAndre Jordan is a 72ovr. Hartenstein is a 76. Enes Kanter is a 76 🤣 like cmon bro. iHart being same ovr as Kanter is NUTS.

I was 12 in Columbia, SC when this dropped. And I spent so much time building this exact Bobcats team in this mode. Crazy nostalgic.
In other news, it's true it's gone backwards in some ways, but also that things like Trade Finder are a great addition. But spending 90% of my time "chatting" is just awful. Why is so hard to combine the best features of all these modes/franchises over the years?? Also I miss the name "dynasty mode"...so good.

NBA Live 05, was the first ever NBA game I’ve played at the age of 9. Asked for Smackdown vs raw and got this game instead, was pissed AF at first . But now I’m grateful for it. Got me into the NBA so much.

Rule 1: You cannot sign any players during off season free agency.
Rule 2: Once a player’s contract expires, they’re gone from the team for good.
Rule 3: You cannot sign players in free agency to acquire assets then flipping them nor can you use free agency to fill up roster space.
Rule 4: No contract extensions or trades during off season free agency.
Rule 5: Trade only during the regular season.
Rule 6: Try and win 2 or 3 championships.
This is my challenge for KOT4Q let’s see if he can complete this.

Kenny you should try out March Madness Legacy. It's a Mod for NCAA Basketball 08 (or 10, not 100% sure on that) that brings it into the current day and age
Kenny, you should do a hoopgrids and treat it like a ballin on a budget graphic where you get $100 (for 100%) to go 82-0 and you try to think of good players with low percentages. That'd be fire even though you'd still be dodging the real 82-0 challenge.

Idk if you did this challenge before or not but what if you built a contender from 2k10 to current 2k taking the same roster each year and continuing to rebuild them in a one year challenge to see how many champion squads you can make by the time you make it til 2k23.
Ex. Like how you rebuilt this bobcats team year 1 but this time you take that year 1 team into the next year’s game and continue like that

I wish they’d try to make a good NBA game again. 2K sells like 10M copies on an off year bro, and that doesn’t count VC. It’d obv take time, they’d prolly lose money for the first cpl games. But by the 3rd I bet they could have a good game. Especially if they focused on gameplay and simulation, didn’t worry about having 500 game modes, like they could just not have MT or w/e.
If they spent a couple years developing the first one, then released it for like $35 or something and took feedback from smart ppl in the community, paid ppl like Kenny to fly out for a week and work with them on their version of MyGM for example. Then the same thing to help them with tweaking gameplay and whatever else. Ppl who rly know ball and are good representatives for the community. Wouldn’t cost that much compared to EA budget money. Fly them 1st class, nice hotel, food, etc. Then idk, like $10K or something? You could get A LOT done in like 5 sessions where they’re in the studio helping for maybe 5-6 hours. So 30 hours or so for the week.
If they did that for Kenny, then 3-4 other ppl it’d help so much it’d be ridiculous. You’re talking maybe $15K-$20K to have 5 ppl fly out and stay there, help for x hours a day for a week or w/e. $100K is NOTHING for them. And if they can have a good NBA game within the next 2-3 years, all they’d have to do is get 1/3 of the ppl who play 2K to buy both or switch over and you’re selling 3-4M copies a year. And there’s no reason it couldn’t get bigger. There aren’t that many games that release yearly and sell 3M+ copies. Ppl are dying for another NBA game too. I’d 1000% support if they rly tried and took feedback like that seriously and were putting in mad work to make a great game.
Monopolies are p much never good. 2K overtook Live bc it became a better game. Live got kinda lazy and 2K took their spot. Now that’s not even possible bc there’s ONE GAME.

@KOT4Q. This game is what I play alot when I'm playin somethin throwback. I used to really suck at this game; but I've figured out in the last couple years how to be good at it. So now I play Dynasty mode and am able to rebuild my roster within that same season before the Trade Deadline. Good to see U still doin yo thing Kenny!

I put so many hours into NBA Live 05 back in the day when I was 8. Easily the video game I remember playing the most from my childhood
Day something of asking Kenny to do the no flipping assets challenge. You can trade whoever you want as long as you signed them or they were on your team since day 1, however, when you trade for a player or pick, it's yours until the player leaves or is released, or the pick is used in the draft. You are not allowed to trade any player or any assets that was brought to your team via a trade. You can trade a player that you drafted with another team's pick but you can't trade the pick prior to the draft. On this channel we get assets and we flip 'em. Well not today, Kentrell. Not today. Let's see how long it takes you to win a championship when every trade is so very important.
P.S. I've been asking for this on and off for a year or 2 and will continue to ask in the future, but I'm never early to your videos so maybe I miss the cutoff for having my comment be noticed.
