Glad to know Brazil is actually safer than what we can read online. :)

Yes, It obviously has its problems, but other countries do too! I think Brazil just has worse PR in general.

It looks so beautiful...my one question is if Brazilian currency includes coins that i could swim with to prevent any stolen cash in case there are no families nearby to watch my bag? Would it be all right to leave the cell phone at an accommodation for just a short trip to the beach...what do you think....will this work? Thanks so much for posting about Brazil, I wish I could live there, looks so peaceful and beautiful!

Thank you so much for being here and enjoying the content! To answer your questions:
      - yes, 1 real is composed of 100 cents, but due to how little it is worth, you won’t get far with just coins or you will need to carry a bucket load with you. Also, Brazil is a fairly cashless society, so most things can be purchased with a card, even at the beach. I do have a video about “what to pack to go to Brazil” and in that video, I suggest a waterproof small bag with a lanyard that would be perfect to go to the beach alone. I found out about it only after filming the beach video, otherwise I would have recommended it here, but check that other video out to see what I am talking about.
      - it is fine to leave your phone at the hotel (unless you are staying in a hostel, in which case use their lockers or safe facilities) to go to the beach. I would do the same with your passport. I also speak about this in another video, “26 safety tips by a local”, if you would like to check that one out too.
I hope you have a safe trip and enjoy your time in Brazil! 🥰

Do you recommend a shop to buy swimwear? I'm a not so skinny like the women I see pass in your videos. This would be helpful. Thank you.

I think that was a coincidence, I didn’t really pay attention to the people in the background. There are many people who are not in the shape people see as standard and are wearing the same bikini styles, so hopefully that can put your mind at ease :)
In relation to shops, I think Morena Rosa and Cia Marítima are two well known brands and I think they might have several sizes as well.
