    Thank you!
WW I is incredibly multifaceted. And I appreciate the time invested by this professor in shining some light on one of the war’s many lesser known aspects AND being able to tie that in with what is happening in the world today.
I too agree WW I is one of the most important wars in human history. But, few WW I speakers or authors, after illuminating some aspect of the Great War, take the extra step to explain how their subject matter affects today’s reality.
The speaker truly went above and beyond.

Interesting! I learned a lot. My grandfather was in the army reported for service at Camp Dodge in Iowa, eventually was sent to the Philippines toward the end of the war. I also understand that there was no hostile action in the Philippines during WW1.
My family has a couple photos of him there, and a US Army Christmas party invitation, with lots of names printed on it. I don’t have access to the items anymore, but I have good photos.
    Thank you!
