@@AvielNova Yeah I figured it out right after I commented here lol. For anyone reading this, It's not bugged, you just need to hit the right spot to get 42. Aim above the scrolls as high as you can go without leaving the circle.

I’m playing this game now and trying to get this trophy. I’ve cleared the ENTIRE row of rings here more than once now, and every time I’m only getting 39. It seems impossible to get 42, like the games missing 3 rings?????

This is more for whoever else is getting this issue: Red rings are worth 3 rings, yellow are worth 1. So in this instance there are actually 14 red rings you need to get with one Naruto Cannon. So in this case, getting 39/42 would mean 1 red ring is being missed.
