NOPE. Just polish that shit with tons of guitar layers and keyboard.. Led Zeppelin did that and it worked.. when you gotta work on something, it has to shine.
The anticipation is great but obnoxious, patience is key though... The longer they take, the better it may be. I do believe that this record might be a big one for them and for the music world.
I cannot believe I am alive to witness this. Typically I listen to old rock bands as if I’ll never hear them live, but these guys are in MY time for once. So pumped.

I too am an old geezer, and I’ve never heard anything like Josh Kiszka’s voice. Not only does it not seem like it’s emanating from him (if you had heard but never seen the band, would you be picturing him?), but it seems like it may not be “of this Earth.” Even Robert Plant himself has mentioned something like this. Keep on rockin’ Greta Van Fleet!
Josh's voice is jaw-dropping. This song is epic. I cannot wait to hear the entire album from start to finish, lights dimmed, volume at 11, sipping a glass of 20 year old scotch. You guys have come miles from where you started.

They will soon write their equivalent of Stairway to heaven soon in regards to impact, exposure and importance to this new movement of rock and roll. They will be responsible for the return of rock and roll and pave the way for a the bands yet to shred
Josh’s vocals in the ending of the song nearly brought tears to my eyes. The whole time I’m imagining myself in a concert waving my phone light in the air, slow-dancing to the music, probably even crying tears of ecstasy throughout the song. I gotta see this band live the first chance I get when concerts come back.
I haven't seen someone playing a Mellotron and an organ at the same time in millenniums, this makes think, that there is still hope in the world, or perhaps the end of it.
his voice sounds so much better! this song absolutely fits him. i missed seeing them live!! this performance is amazing & i can't freaking wait for the new album. proud of you boys!!!
@@naniii740 Yes. Touring is brutal on a vocalist like Josh. He doesn't just sing comfortably. He PUSHES. And with the constantly changing climate from one venue to the next, people shouldn't expect the same precision he achieves on the records. But hey! THAT is live rock n roll. It's about atmosphere, connection, energy. And you really have to be there to fully appreciate it. Having said that, I must say. I've never been disappointed by his vocals on videos of their live shows. Very grateful to have them! These guys are masters of the stage. Keep the joy, Greta!
This Band is all I've been missing for so long and didn't know it until I found them at last! This is also a new unique sound, but the Sound of the Band lets me feel like coming home, meet a long missed friend, and they let me feel young again, I'm 52 years old😊
I am a fan and Ive seen these guys in 2018. They are a talented group of guys about my age and they inspire me to continue playing guitar and the other instruments I play. My dad was one of the biggest Led Zeppelin fans on the planet. He saw them about 15 times over the 12 years they played. He lived in la so they played at least 3 times at the la forum. He even met John Paul Jones and John Bonham when they bought studded leather jackets for the band from his boss in the early 70s . He even met Page and Plant when they toured in tbe 90s. I saw these guys with my dad when I saw them. He really liked them and said if they can get a few more albums out, they'll really mature and find their own sound. My Dad and I really enjoyed going to concerts together. Ive seen Greta Van Fleet, Roger Waters, Buddy Guy, Jeff Beck, and the rolling stones with my dad as well as some.cover bands. Out last concert was the rolling stones in August of 2019 on their last tour. He passed away a few months later from undiagnosed cancer we didn't know about till 2020. He loved rock and roll and has so many stories from all the different concerts and celebrities he has ran into over the years. If he liked these guys you know there a good band. I'm a huge Zeppelin fan myself and I would kinda say this song has an Achilles last stand and No Quarter vibe to it. It sounds original though .

So sorry for your loss. And thanks for posting this, its beautiful :) I love GvF because they kind of keep the legacy of rock n roll ALIVE! , just like your dad by telling you those awesome stories :) they do it with this amazing music that just as you said it sounds similar yet different and original, or like your dad with his stories, or by us fans never forgetting the good old bands but being welcoming with the new ones
I just watched an interview with Robert Plant from Led Zepplin and he loves GVF and raves about their talent. I came across GVF 2 years ago and I listen to them every day, Meeting the Master is one of my favourites! Thank goodness for thir music, no other band can compete. I'm 66 years old and the great thing about GVF is their ability to reach all age groups, and they take me back to the 70s when bands didn't have synthesisers but GVF has surpassed all the old greats of that time. I'm a huge fan! 😊
I've already commented, but I'm going to again. This song is the best of the year. Hell, best in a few years. With all the covid garbage, these guys made something this world needed. A kick ass song, album, and generations all over to enjoy. Don't stop, and I'm looking forward to when we can all see you live again! GVF....stay true!
With every song I've heard from them, including the ones released so far from Starcatcher, there comes a point in the song when Jake makes his entrance...some times we get lucky with an opening like this too. But anyway, there is a moment in every song where you can say to yourself, even though he's been playing the whole time, "where's Jake"? Then it comes...when you say "there he is!".....and the drifting into oblivion begins. The music that's in his head are the sounds in my dreams. Like lullabies for my soul.
I'm another Gen X-er , fan of old Hard Rock & Glam Rock (Rainbow, Led Zep, Aerosmith, 1970s Scorpions, 1970s Kiss etc.) and I'm totally obsessed with this band. The maturity of their songwriting is out of this world. The music world really needed you, guys! 🇨🇦☮️🖤🤟
I keep coming back and watching, watching, listening and listening. My original post was this because I had found them only late last year - during Covid in Aus. And was getting so cranky with all those reaction videos - and you know what I am talking about. So this was my original post: "They sound exactly like Greta Van Fleet - no more is needed. All four of them are fabulous -actually way beyond fabulous - they are a land of infinite wonder. I have been back here so many times. This song is magnificent on every level. Possibly the greatest showcase for their talents musically. Lyrically, structurally, instumentally, they are a gift" I can't hit like more times so just gonna edit. Love to GVF and lovers of GVF. And our Peaceful Army.

It was very poor experience. I had to wait for the pre-order of their last album and took two weeks after its release date to arrive. So yeah, no pre-order this time. I'll just get it at the record store or from Amazon.
JUST DROP THE ALBUM EARLY
@@nathanstevens259 i agree, but if i remember correctly, in an interview they said the album is already done
This is a band that soothes my aching soul at a time i really need it. And as for that guitar, Jesus wept, it really is a thing of beauty.
facts
He pulls off the 70's mustache quite well. It's so nice to have a band that actually plays MUSIC. God bless Michigan.
No that be 80s stash.
Some people don't like it, but I think it looks pretty good on him. He does look a lot different with it, though.
I'm 53.....and simply blown away by the talent across the board.
Same here. I'm thanking the fucking maker that someone brought back a real vibe
I'm 56..
This might be one of their most complete songs they've written. The vocals, the compelling chorus, the overall vibe of the song is incredible.
This band gives me the chills, they are so good. They are here to stay...mark my words...
I cannot believe I am alive to witness this. Typically I listen to old rock bands as if I’ll never hear them live, but these guys are in MY time for once. So pumped.
These boys give meaning to my generation... Go strong!
@Mease Stone don't you have anything better to do
This guys are the best ...
Perfect child
Plugged in since the womb
Prophet of the dune
In this electric tomb
Man has made
An omnipresent force
Heading on a course
For interstellar shores
God machine
Malfunctioned as it grew
And the circuits blew
Falling down on you
Now you're free
Unplug from the source
No more underscores
Open up the doors
Feeling
Oh god, the feeling
We need some healing
We need some healing
God knows if you feel defeated
You have been cheated
You have retreated
Feeling
Oh god, the feeling
We need some healing
We need some healing
God knows if you feel defeated
You have been cheated
You have retreated
I WASNT MENTALLY PREPARED FOR THIS
Atmosphere. Music is about Atmosphere!!!!👌
Amazing! Not many rock singers hit the note he does at the 6:24 mark!
Yes!
As an old geezer that has loved Rock for 50 years, This song gives me goosebumps! Love these guys! Great song!
Still listening!! 🤟
Coming back for the 70th time in the past week. This is. Wow.
Again and again
Josh's voice is jaw-dropping. This song is epic. I cannot wait to hear the entire album from start to finish, lights dimmed, volume at 11, sipping a glass of 20 year old scotch. You guys have come miles from where you started.
@giovanni cucciolo What?
epic if you like Brittany Spears this is as raw as a piece of coal. BURNT! UH? This band as as much talent of any band in the last 20 years and the kids who watch Disney will love this song wtf we have a nivarna / alice in chains ready to go and you do this production jesus are you fuking stupid
@@Rick-tf4dl Well, they certainly are not a group of Vikings, wearing horns and grunting into the microphone to savage drums. That is not my cup of tea, but I wouldn't ask you if you were "fucking stupid" for liking that style of music. Opinions are like Assh*les sir, everybody's got one. Peace.
@@Rick-tf4dl I don’t blame you I blame your mother look who she raised !
Fantastic! Love the mysterious doomy atmosphere of the song, and Josh's pained wails at the end. 🔥
I got chills wow this dude can sing,
They will soon write their equivalent of Stairway to heaven soon in regards to impact, exposure and importance to this new movement of rock and roll. They will be responsible for the return of rock and roll and pave the way for a the bands yet to shred
Broken Bells
Josh’s vocals in the ending of the song nearly brought tears to my eyes. The whole time I’m imagining myself in a concert waving my phone light in the air, slow-dancing to the music, probably even crying tears of ecstasy throughout the song. I gotta see this band live the first chance I get when concerts come back.
I’ve had the privilege of seeing them three times in concert, you are going to love it!🌼
@@karirose8076 i'm jealous . i hope i see them for this new albums tour
Cam you’ll be in for a great show and a totally enjoyable experience when it happens!
Fair warning… THEYRE LOUD AS HELL AND I LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT!!
@@Jr.barkeep loud as hell is how I roll.
Joshs voice has improved immensely. It was already so great but here it just sounds amazing.
I thought the original studio song of this was their masterpiece, but it's clearly their live performance of it. Perfect child.
I haven't seen someone playing a Mellotron and an organ at the same time in millenniums, this makes think, that there is still hope in the world, or perhaps the end of it.
This song is here to make 2021 better!!
his voice sounds so much better! this song absolutely fits him. i missed seeing them live!! this performance is amazing & i can't freaking wait for the new album. proud of you boys!!!
I think some much needed time off and rest is what they needed so they could give us this beautiful song..
@@monkeymonkeyof300 absolutely. ❤️They went through a heavy tour for 2 and a half years.
@@yvonnesaunders550 exactly, he doesn't sing comfortably and it can be really hard. He does his best and it's great! Totally agree with you.
Its on my bucket list to see them..if touring ever opens up!
GVF are PHENOMENAL!
my god, Josh's voice is unbelievable 😍😍
Josh sounds sooo good here
BETTER every single time !!! The future is theirs. LONG LIVE METAL Love Peace n RESPECT xxx
That voice... seems like it just gets better!
Damn, but this is so good!!!!! Jake Kiszka is absolutely magnificent on guitar. I never thought I'd hear rock like this ever again!!!!
I can't stop listening to this. It's the most beautiful song I have ever heard.
This live version is so darkly haunting and beautifully cinematic I can’t even use any other words to describe it it’s so damn awesome
When bands let the music tell a story as well as lyrics. It's epic...
Nothing like this has been composed in decades.
Love Sam’s playing on the B3 and the mellotron sounding keyboard. It’s the backbone on this track. Well done sir!!!
Those guys are amazing, they shine like Diamonds in the dirt.
chills
I feel like I'm listening to late 70's RUSH and mid-70's Zeppelin in a smooth mash-up.
Totally!
I was born in 75 but i really like Zeppelin músic and it is as if i was at that time listening to a band from the 70s
Is magic.

January 2021
They have always sounded like a mixture of Rush and Zeppelin
They have that Styx,Rush,WHO, Zeppelin sound... if they add any Zappa,,were in deep trouble!!!
NOT YALL DROPPING THIS OUT OF NOWHERE ARE YOU KIDING
I want to cry 😭 o feel so excited about this band 🥰🥰 i can't believe this exist
I'm ten thousand years old and I love these guys...Rock On for another ten thousand years!
Fuck, I feel like I'm 10,000 fucking years old!!! LMMFAO 🤣🤣🤣
Amen!!! 55 here, but when I listen to these guys, I feel like a teenage girl again. It’s like when I first started to love music all over again.
This Band is all I've been missing for so long and didn't know it until I found them at last! This is also a new unique sound, but the Sound of the Band lets me feel like coming home, meet a long missed friend, and they let me feel young again, I'm 52 years old😊
How Josh Kiszka can hold those notes is pure magic. I hope this band is around for a long time to come. Take care of those pipes, sir.
I agree with the No Quarter similarity. Now, adding a Chris Cornell mustache... get it? :-)
What great and thoughtful comments! Couldn’t agree more! Also, sorry for your loss, but It’s nice to have to music you shared together carry on... 🧐 I wish more comments online where so thoughtful and positive! 😎🎸🥁🎹🎼
So sorry for your loss. And thanks for posting this, its beautiful :)
I love GvF because they kind of keep the legacy of rock n roll ALIVE! , just like your dad by telling you those awesome stories :) they do it with this amazing music that just as you said it sounds similar yet different and original, or like your dad with his stories, or by us fans never forgetting the good old bands but being welcoming with the new ones
Josh opens mouth, Sammy playing keyboards or bass, Jakes hands on a guitar, Danny pounding on the drums = MAGIC...🥰🥰
The vocals, the keyboard (Holy Sammy - just amazing), the guitar, the drums....this song is truly awesome.
another canadian greta van fleet fan ;)
That’s REAL music!!!
Dude Josh’s first few notes is just him straight up flexing his vocal power 🤣🤘🏼💚🔥
Josh's vocals here are simply amazing...
INCREDIBLE AMAZING ASTOUNDING

Guess I don't need coffee this morning!
What a pick me up, right?!
Well said, Aaron!! :)
Well said, Andrew!! :)
But mixing coffee and greta van fleet is much better
Awesome!! I graduated HS in 1976. Greta Van Fleet smashes my rock n roll button every time. Love you guys and your music. Never stop
The best music today, Toaday's music suck and crap, In middle of the ashes there's a lightning rising "Greta Van Fleet" keep rockinf guys, LONG LIVE ROCK N ROLL
WOW.
world of warcraft
I’m sayin
How did I not know you were a fan of them! Love your channel Goldie! ❤️🤘

They suck..Zeppelin wannabes
I am addicted. This is so amazing. An experience. Expansion of consciousness. Psychedelic. A musical journey.
just amazing, every sound.
Imagine this live show with the chorus of the crowd singing in unison with Josh. SPEECHLESS
