Even though Goat has already been better for a while anyway, this is an opportunity for them to step up and double down to guarantee authenticity and step on StockX’s neck. I hope they do, because StockX has been clowning around to much lately.
Boxes matter. Late 2018 Nike started putting RFIDs on their JORDAN labels. If Nike manufacturers tweek the RFIDs with a little more detail and add to EVERY Nike shoe authentication could be a lot easier.
I sell shoes from time to time and I've always been turned off after reading stock x fine print where they can not only charge you but keep your shoe. After hearing and reading some of the horrible stories... whats stopping them from keeping your shoe adding to inventory and reselling it while charging you. Smh
They rejected 2 pairs I tried to sell (slight blemish)& they sent them back to me…although one went mysteriously missing so they reimbursed 50% of the sale price.

If I don’t cop a shoe from Nike, Footlocker, Hibbetts etc… than I move on to the next. I don’t trust resale companies StockX, Goat etc… No shoe is that important to me to take a risk especially for double or tripe the price.
Being a sorta new sneaker head, I’ve bought like 8 pairs of my Jordan 1s from Stockx, with 2 being recent. The other 6 were before that law suit news came out. I got skeptical after that and ended up finding someone to help authenticate the shoes again for me. Luckily, all pairs checked out legit 😩🙌🏽😅
I've sent 1 pair twice, once they sent em back saying they didn't pass their Authentication process. Then a month later I send the same pair and it passed smh.
I was done with StockX & Goat when they started charging a fee to buy a shoe. But I'm not surprised. I'm sure Goat as the same issues with passing fakes so beware. I'm at the point where if I miss it for retail oh well. On to the next one.

I bought a pair of Dunks during the summer, and as soon as I got the shoes, I checked Both shoes QVR labels, as well as the box QVR label...none of the QVR labels were scannable! Goat tried to say that was a manufacture defect that their not responsible for! HuH? I thought your job is to authenticate and inspect the shoes for defects?? Nope! Perhaps that will be something we will institute in the future, but now you're only getting Goat Credit. Got Apple involved since I used Applepay, and I got all my bread back!! I don't use any of those marketplaces anymore, so your video doesn't surprise me at all! Good video thought!!!
Love the energy you always bring to your videos! Rose Anvil made some videos that cut authentic and replica shoes in half and graded the materials. Come to find out, they use the same materials. I'm in China now, the blueprints, offset printing pressings, materials, etc. all gets leaked out (more like sold) easily to the surrounding factories which churn them out with better quality control. Hopefully this will not just be a blow to StockX but to the professional reseller community as well. The days of walking into your local shoe store and getting a retro pair of Jordans for retail are coming back. There are 3 Jordan stores in a tier 1 city close to me, they all had the Jordan 1 Taxis, Georgetown 6s, and the Fire Red 3s in stock in almost all sizes.

To me stock x and goat are the same, people have issues with both, Stock X is just the one getting dragged right now because of the Nike lawsuit. The verification process no matter who does it isnt fool proof.

👏👏👏 My biggest fear selling on any site is them taking the shoe and saying it’s fake, because their authentication process is random. If I do it I’m going to resell on the site I buy it from and send proof with the box, or include a copy of a Nike receipt. Glad you mentioned that risk!

But I just got a pair of Black Canvas 4s and Baron's and on the receipt it still says New & 100% Authentic. So I'm not sure what's going on. But I know both pair's are 100% Authentic forsure!

#1 Fakes aren’t made in the same places as the Reals. That’s a Myth. #2 There is Multiple ways to tell the Difference between Real & Fake shoes I do Purses as well & have only slipped up once. There is a method obviously. Once You learn it, it’s not that hard. #3 We are all Human. Ppl make mistakes. But majority of the time if You know the Trade You can deftly tell difference between Real & Fake. Only very few fakes are so good that I rely on a second opinion. I can usually tell myself. Been doing Purses for 7yrs & Sneakers for 2yrs. Not that Hard 😂 I buy shoes on StockX rarely & eBay + GOAT all the time & have yet to get a fake

They made with different blueprint/materials. Simply just a Copy of Real. From different factories. Shady stuff. But there will always be market for it.

I only bought 1 pair off stock x. The women’s quilted wheats and I was like “hell nah” are these fake? With the Chinese writing tags that came on it. I know it shipped straight from China. Had to hit it with the uv light, check out the workmanship. It’s a nice shoe but I was hesitant about it. Last pair I will ever buy! I switched to goat and got a fresh pair of trophy room 7’s. Waiting for them to get here but I’d rather be taxed then beat on fakes. eBay came thru with the 12 black and golds and twists.
Let's all be real a lot of the second party shoe websites are a gamble to be honest. If it's not from FootLocker or any of the other Retailers Stores or App (SNKRS) we will never know. WE just hoping we don't get scammed

I bought a pair of concords on ebay that I wasn't 100% sure if they were authentic and goat sent them back and confirmed they weren't so they've earned my trust and I'll never use stockx from all the stuff I heard about them
