CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Casey (Steven Seagal) fights back against the terrorists while taking a call from the Pentagon.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Andrew Davis directed this exciting thriller starring Steven Seagal, sans ponytail, and featuring electric, over-the-top performances by Gary Busey and Tommy Lee Jones. This action saga takes place on the battleship USS Missouri, about to be decommissioned from service after a visit from George Bush. When Bush departs the vessel, a band of terrorists overcome the remaining skeleton crew and take over the ship, under the ruse of holding a surprise birthday party for the ship's commander, Captain Adams (Patrick O'Neal). The band is led by Strannix (Jones), a disgruntled ex-CIA operative, and his right-hand man, the psychotic Krill (Busey). The terrorists plan to steal the ship's store of nuclear warheads, transfer them to a stolen North Korean submarine, and sell them to a Middle Eastern country. Unfortunately for Strannix, he has overlooked the ship's cook, Casey Ryback (Seagal). Ryback is a much-honored Navy SEAL who, because of a minor scandal, is quietly completing his twenty-year tour in the galley of the Missouri. Forced into action, Ryback, along with the woman who jumped out of Captain Adams' birthday cake (Erika Eleniak), knocks off the bad guys one-by-one while crawling inside the bowels of the ship.

Admiral Bates 'They got a lot of trouble on that ship' that line still makes me laugh to this day that was freaking hilarious.
"Sorry sir! You can court martial me if I live sir!"
Underrated badass line.
Totally agree. 👍🏾🙏🏾
So polite of the Chief to fire bursts from his gun between speaking.
Apperently some soldiers don't wait for orders they just take action against enemy
@@rogerosborn2143 facts.
He wasn't a soldier. He was a Navy CPO, and Chiefs always take the initiative. The Chief was being a Chief, which is what real Chiefs do. Otherwise, he would just be an E-7.
"He's in a gun fight. I'll have to take a message" I still laugh my ass off every time I see it.
Camel Tanker Indeed, I was going to say the same.
@@plainsimpledav946 yup she did playboy in real life i think she was in Baywatch.
@@TryHard30Boi early 3 seasons of the show, she is Shauni.
The best line in the whole movie. It's one of two things I always remember about the movie, this and the insane knife fight at the end.
Casey Ryback hated to disobey Admiral Bates‘ orders, but he couldn‘t sit still after seeing on the monitor that the crew were in a locked room and drowning.
No Court-Martial in the world would convict him for trying to save shipmates, orders or not
Same guy dies twice in one sceen. First at 1:50 and then at 2:09.
Got to love that editing😆
It's his twin, goddammit!
😆👍
Most think Steven Seagal is a joke now but back in the day he made some great movies. This one and Above the Law were damned good movies.
That "most think Seagal is a joke" is an exaggeration.
donr forget hard tonkill marked for deatb and out for justice
Just recently Jessie Enkamp spent a few days with him and he said that he believes Segal is the real deal..
Now marital arts are finally admitting that he does know what he's talking about.
@@JaybayJay He is for real. He is a legit grandmaster in aikido. He's trained a few other arts as well. Now, is he a fruit loop? Sure. But he is a real martial artist.
@@Elthenar I know he is.. I was tkd at 10, at 15 I was Senpai for Matsubayashi Ryu for many years. I've seen my fair of unreal stuff in my life and 35 years of Martial Arts.
"SAFEST PLACE ON THIS SHIP IS RIGHT BEHIND YOU"
I mean, she's not wrong.
plot armor level 9000
If you've seen the movie, it's pretty hard to argue with her assessment.
Until the bad guy tries to shoot him in the back. 😀
Much better than being in a space ship with Coolio, tony lister, and Casper van dien.
"Safest place on this ship is behind you". Damn right it is Ms. July ;)
"MISS JULY, COME BACK HERE!!!" Hahahaha
Y'know, it's a funny line and all, especially considering the situation. But shows a real difference. That call-out, treating her by her profession. Versus Ryback, treating her like she's actual capable backup. Which turns out, she really was.
The phone conversation is my favourite part of the movie. :)
I love the reactions from the
Rest of Joint Chiefs as they're
Having the convo during
The firefight!
Erika Eleniak (an actual Playboy centerfold) is also a classically trained actress and should have won an award for making Seagal look this good. Her performance made this film.
Really tight script and dialogues. Special charm is there if you are from an army school. The movies of 1980s and 90s were so good.....
Love Jordan's line,
"He's in a *gunfight right now.* I'm gonna **have to take a message!!**"
And then Ryback's response when Admiral Bates gets upset at Ryback's disobedience of Bates' orders:
"Sorry, sir! You can court-martial me **IF I LIVE, SIR!!**"
Hey, it just goes to show they can still have a decent/civilized conversation over the phone, even in a gunfight.😂
Just picked it up the Blu-Ray, Kick-ass movie! One of the best 90s' action flicks, Top 10 for sure!
Mine came the other day with two others on blu ray
One of my top 5 favourites.
Ryback was lucky that Admiral Bates forgave him for disobeying his direct orders. He had to try to save his fellow crewmen.
azure rainbow admiral had nothing to do except forgiving him

This movie and scene alone makes me miss Steven Seagal even more during his prime! Not just Martial arts, but military tactics and combat shooting skills are demonstrated here, and the way he ran out from cover with a dual wielding sub quick dispatch is so freaking cool!! Miss his older days already and wish he could have done more !
Now these are the movies we need back
Great movie, watched it so many times as a kid on VHS.
*hycron1234* And i still have my VHS
likewise! This and part 2!
Those sounds of gunsfire are delightful the good action movies
@Movie Clips The falling guy from 1:50 who falls again at 2:11 in the exact same corner stairwell earned his SAG card that day.
It’s a Deja vu glitch in the Matrix.
One of his best movies.
Now that's badass scene right there!
"That's affirmative Sir" LOL
"They got a lot of trouble on that ship"
Gotta love the 1000 round magazines
"Because if l can't god damn control you... I might as well support you. Correct."
Not in this movie but now the safest place is behind Steven Seagal
"Pac-Man, what did you say to her!?"
Do we know?
Dale Dye (Captain Garza)(the white haired man sitting right next to Admiral Bates)...............actually deserves to wear the medals that are on his uniform.
Vietnam Vet. War Correspondent (to some degree)
Not just Vietnam Vet. Medically retired Marine Captain with Silver Star Bronze Star and Purple Heart just to name a few.
He's real life goddamn hero, Dale Dye is.
not to mention a technical advisor
This movie is a close second, for me, on the 'Best of Seagal' list; it comes in right after 'Executive Decision' when he gets sucked out of the Ramora at 30000 ft. and we can continue on with Halle Berry taking up the screen.
This movie is also one of my favourite of seagal's movies. For the movie Executive Decision, do u think its possible to conduct such rescue, docking a aircraft with the airplane? It will be cool if they can do that.
"We're not going to make it!!!"
"You will."
THEY GOTTA LOTTA TROUBLE ON THAT SHIP
Man, the ricochet’s alone inside that tin can would kill everybody.
RIP Andy Romano (Admiral Bates)
Hilarious comeback that Jordan does...
Great scene. This one and the Cake Scene!
I've never seen anyone have more fun on a battleship than me when I was crawling around it while Missouri was docked in Bremerton, WA.
Talking on the phone & shooting at the same time is kinda hard good luck
Steven Seagal's Best movie hands down
So stupid but so entertaining
@knightfall9394 it wasn't stupid this was actually a good movie from the Director of the Fugitive
I always think of this interaction when someone phones my house and asks me who I am....
Admiral:"Who the hell is this?"
Erika: "Who the hell is THIS?"
It's really the only appropriate response.
Unlimited ammo mode, engaged!
"I'm trying to get a hold of Chief Ryback, is he about?"
"He's in a gunfight right now, I'm going to have to take a message."
"...WHAT THE HELL'S GOING ON THERE?!"
"There are people SHOOTING AT US!!!" :)
@@mxplixic "'CAUSE I BLEW UP THEIR HELICOPTER!"
He was doing "Chief's Business."
Can you imagine how loud and deafening that would have been with those unsuppressed Firearms being fired in close quarters? There's no way they would have been able to hear anything on that phone
She’s a good judge of character.
Miss July! Come back here!
The same guy died twice at 2:10. Seagal shoots him at 1:49 and he comes back to die again. Just like James Bond I suppose You Only Live Twice!
Good eye!
Twin brother, obviously. There was supposed to be a sidequel for Under Siege which would follow the lifes and times of two identical twin mercenaries up until this point, but it was later cancelled...;)
u never heard of respawn????
Nova Chamber, Lul
OMG, I always thought it was two different guys, but you're right!
After seeing this movie and seeing this scene I always wondered how Admiral Bates and the others would react if they knew they were speaking to a civilian and a PlayBoy playmate at that that would have been quite embarrassing for them.
1:24 Here comes Ryback using two weapons as an akimbo to mow down his enemies!
Steven really made sure the editing staff helped hit home that horrendous “saFesT pLaCe oN thiS bOAt iS riGHt beHiND yOu” steaming plate load of a line. God, that must’ve stroked his ego.
I mean, yeah it's clearly there to stroke the hero's ego, in this case Seagal, but A) this is very common in pure action flicks, especially from this era... And B) regardless of that, she's not wrong within the context of the film.
@@jedirayden this movie exists for the sole purpose of Steven hearing that line. I bet they took a billion takes
Ms July, get back here!
Good to see he had his priorities in check.
It’s said that in the 90s they had unlimited ammo in their magazines. And that it was banned for use in 98’ because it was seen as a warcrime.
Same guy dies on the staircase twice.
nice catch
Identical twins. 😎
Seagal's best movie
lota trouble on that ship - Admiral Einstein
U.S.S MISSOURI BB 63 memorial day 2019
"Cause if I goddamn can't control you, I might as well support you!" XD
This is "Seinfeld"ian in nature XD
Inspired by only the most popular sitcom on TV in Europe. France, Romania, Italy.
He actually said "support you"....
@@alexbittonagy4808 Sorry support you correct.
@@robjackson5245 😉 All good mate!
Great movie
Is it just me or does Ryback kill the same guy at 1:48 and 2:09? Lol
Minutes after posting my comment i see yours. Absolutely the same guy. Click my time stamps for the exact same spot he falls. I’ll put them here: 1:50 2:11
Miss July come back here
Miss July come back here..lol
admin. Bates: they're having a lot of trouble on that ship!
us: oh really, you think?! What was your first clue?
The gun fights, the terrorism take over, where should we start asking?!
yeah I know it's part of the script, but could it have been comic relief per se?
Only people who sailed would get it.
Compenetración única.S.E.A.L.y complementaria si la hay
I was rolling you can court Marshall me if I live sir
I guess In gun fight it is good to have assistant to hold phone up to you ear while you are shooting at enemy
This gun fight reminds me when i was playing counter strike....
Now Your Talking
Trallalalalallalala
MP5k and a Uzi 😎😎😎
Steven needs to be in The Expendables 3 !!!
Well, too late. It was Mel Gibson.
*4 * hopefully
He won’t do it - due to personal issues with - Producer Avi Lerner
He got way too much of an ego it would never happen
That's affirmative sir.
Sorry sir you can court martial me if i live sir 😆
That late 30’s early 40’s segal was such a badass. Too bad he couldn’t transition into the “old man” style badass like Logan or Jeff Bridges’s Rooster in true grit, when he got into his 60’s.
Say what you want about Steven Segal's acting quality, but the man is entertaining as hell.
He was at one point
Great Movie, 😁
Dos disparos en la misma diana enemiga
Imagine this was directed by John Woo.
Where can I get some of these "it s never empty - mags" ?
1:21 Is that Miklo from Blood In, Blood Out?
Yup. Or Ken Masters, if you prefer.
Factor sorpresa de un SEAL
Lol ....what the hells going on there
Does ANYONE know what Tackman said to Jordon?
Bæ bæ lille steven seagull
nafiz muaz and pope othman was that the we back Irwan!
One of the best die hard knockoffs. Sad seagal blew it up and turned into a joke later. He could have been up there with Arnie, Stallone, van damme and willis
Macarow🏴☠️
Lol smg... no recoil whatsoever.
"Charlie (brown) = Affirmative"
What's with the cheery version of the Movieclips theme?
all those smug self important military bigwigs believing themselves to be in some type of control over events on the ship do seem like a big joke. miss july's offer to take a message is spot on. on the flip side, segal's guns never runs out of bullets.
Under siege is on Netflix
this was a great movie...Segal in the early 90's was the best and real fun to watch. now its sad making such cheesey stuff...I think this and Executive Decision are his best...and yes i realize what happens with him in ED but i think thats what was cool and different about these types of movies
Apparently seagull harrassed Miss July during the audition and threaten to keep her from getting a part.
I authorize you to bring me my ship back
It’s unfair that Cpt (Ret.) Dale Dye slept his way up the Hollywood chain to get a cameo in there.
Hei steven sjøfulggel
laundry boy screwed up, didn't use her name, kept calling her "Miss July"
He put in an ammo cheat.
He killed the same guy twice towards the end there wtfdf
Get it? "Under Siege"?
