I had a hard time getting mine set up due to the QR code inside the door being messed up somehow? Even customer service was stumped and could not get it to load on their end. But there is another way!! When you have the camera powered on, press the left arrow and scroll through till you see "QR code" option. Even if the sticker is messed up like mine is, you can still use this one on the screen to finish setting up your account. It only took me and the customer service team an hour of our lives to figure this out!! By the way. Their customer service was excellent in solving this problem!
It’s honestly up to you. If you have high activity in the area you should choose the rechargeable batts or the lithium battery packs. We also have the solar panels that interface with this model. Tactacam recommends Lithium batteries in colder temps for this camera.
My brother got a reveal 3.0 and we are having a really hard time setting it up. Honestly, not sure if it works or not because you can’t see any pictures on the app or videos and when we set it up we bought the cheapest plan and when we went to the app it asked for an additional cost for on demand pictures so I am so confused
Alright. We will get through this together. Since you have the plan purchased and the camera set up, I suggest you walk in front of the camera and let it take photos and videos of you walking around. You may have an issue in the settings preventing good images. Maybe your trigger speed is way too long? Maybe the camera isn't aimed properly at the area where deer are moving through? I'm just spitballing here. The point is, to check your settings and make sure they are good. If the settings are good and it's still not taking photos or video you guys may need to reach out to Tactacam and see if they can trouble shoot with you. To help with the On-Demand photos/videos confusion. The on-demand feature is only available with the PLUS Plan add on. To clarify, On-Demand photo/video will take a photo of what's going on in front of the camera even if there is nothing there. Like an instant check-in on your hunting spot. You can also turn on the check-in feature to make sure the cam is working properly. Toggle ON "Send Check-In Picture" which will send one photo every day to let you know the cam is still functioning properly. At the end of the day, if there aren't any animals walking by, the camera won't take photos. Assuming it is set and aimed properly. Not saying you guys didn't do that just suggesting that you check it.
You can plug in a USB-C cable and transfer the files onto your phone or laptop. You will just need to make sure the cable is compatible with your phone on the other end. USB-C to Lighting etc. The USB-C port is on the left side inside the door of this cam. You could also still use an SD card in this one, recommended SD cards include Sandisk, Lexar, or Tactacam U3, Class 10 cards with a minimum speed of 90 mb/s.
You can get On Demand video straight to your phone using the Reveal App. Just to clarify, this feature is only available on the Reveal Pro 3.0. You will also need to activate and pay for an additional feature on top of your current monthly plan from Tactacam.
