    More work than you'd think but doable. Thankyou!

    I just did this on 2014 CRV. I think removing motor mount is the WAY TO GO. Really opens it up great vid!!!!!

    If I ever have to do another one of these tensioners, I'm definitely taking the mount off. It can be done without the mount being removed, but I recommend a low profile ratchet, and a lot of patience.

    I tried to change tensioner without removing engine mount but my tools didnt fit or couldnt reach the bolts. My 2007 CRV not as easy access as some other honda tensioner vids. So I used this tutorial to remove the mount and get super easy wide open access to all the bolts. This made changing the tensioner so easy!! Made much easier to put the belt back on also. Can remove the engine mount first before PS pump or belt. You need a lot of up pressure from the jack on oil pan to prevent engine dropping like it does in the video. The two 19mm nut and bolt connecting mount to engine block supposed to be replaced.

    Thanks for video. Watched a few videos prior to yours, didnt understand why u took off motor mount, becuz others didnt. Paid no mind, but when i was ready to release tension to take off belt...ding ding ding!!! I realize other video did same work but it was different year. Theres didnt have that bracket in the way. So thank you again. This was my first time removing the motor mount..i felt if you could emphasize more on placing a jack underneath to support the engine, that would help not scare my rookie butt..cuz when i used a mallet to help break loose the mount and i saw the motor dropped a bit..boy oh boy i was s******* bricks. I dont even want to find out what wouldve happen if i forgot to support the engine. Thanks for your time. 2 thumbs Up

    Did you torque them back on? Or did you just snug them up good? Where could I get the torque specs, if you would recommend using a torque wrench? Great video and thanks for the help!

      Snug them up but not too tight. Maybe 15-18 lbf.ft.

    Mine is squealing like crazy only during cold morning starts. I couldn't tell if it was this or the power steering pump, but replaced the pump earlier this year and this sound started like a month ago. How much did this part cost you??

      Yes belt routing may be different so take note of that beforehand.

    Thanks for the video. But is it really necessary to take the mounts off first? I have a 2002 crv and experiencing some
    Noise

    • @MrRangerZr1
      @MrRangerZr1  4 года назад +2

      Gives you plenty of access

    • @APGJuggernaut
      @APGJuggernaut 2 года назад

      It can be done without taking the motor mount off but there is very little room. Probably quicker just to pull the mount

    • @Mrfree1
      @Mrfree1 2 года назад +1

      I was able to get it done by loosening the pulley 😀. So much easier. Just make sure to put ur finger behind the pully. Theres a washer/nut u dont want to lose that

    • @APGJuggernaut
      @APGJuggernaut 2 года назад

      @@Mrfree1 YEP!! Dropped the nut the first time pulling the pulley. Unfortunately the pulley bolt was stripped so i had to replace it. Placing that bottom bolt in the hole prior to install save time trying to get the bolt in the hole.
