Future Tim in this story comes from the DC universe before Flashpoint occurred, back when Tim and Conner were best friends and before any of the new 52 occurred, that’s why Tim knows these things that present Rebirth Tim doesn’t. Also, Thank you so much for finally covering this story Rob, Tim Drake is my favourite character. Also have a very Merry Christmas!!!
Basically, Flashpoint and Dr. Manhattan only affect present DC. Future DC and past DC be like: What the fuck is going on here? Like Earth 2 for example, in the future, it's still the Golden Age Earth but in the present, it's Apokalyp new planet.
The best batman is the one that never wants to become it. I think thats why Tim and Terry are really good as batman. Tim and Terry do it out of a sense of duty instead of a sense of legacy.Dick and Jason do it cause they are the most experienced and oldest and Damian does it because he was "born" to become batman and sees it as his destiny.
Man Rob, from Marvel Explained to pumping DC so hard. Speaks volumes to someone like me who reads DC, and kinda gave up on Marvel, for a long time. Merry Christmas.
Just saw Justice League the movie finally, and towards the end of the film, all I can hear is Robb saying how weird the Flash runs... SMH... Lol... Still, the best thing coming outta DC Rebirth...
Yes I feel like this story proves that Tim is the most worthy successor to Bruce maybe not because of his fighting skills alone, but because he is well-rounded in all areas of crime-fighting
This and "Oz Effect" take place before "DC Metal" bc of the few week gap in a later Detective Comic issue as well as Tim's appearance in the Teen Titans prelude to "Super Sons of Tomorrow" explaining that he specifically had not revealed his return to anyone other than the Bat-Squad featured here
As a person struggling with certain aspects of morality and constantly worried that I'm going to go down the wrong path in life... this story couldn't resonate much harder.
Please please please ROB cover Titans of Tomorrow!!!! This is the Batman (Tim Drake) from the Oz effect. Art by Mike McKone. "Titans Tomorrow" is a storyline of a possible alternate future in the DC Comics Universe, from Teen Titans vol. 3 #17-19 (2005), by Geoff Johns and Mike McKone. The story arc has been collected as part of the Teen Titans. Not sure if you have done this story before. I follow your page an have watched almost ALL of your videos and do not remember seeing it. I am a HUGE FAN! If anything. It is a great read and I HIGHLY suggest it!!!! If you could and choose to cover it, that would be amaz-za-zing! MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!
Yeah, he should cover both parts of Titans of Tomorrow since they went to that Future and later they came to their time. The second time Future Tim tried the kill Supergirl, Ravenger and Blue Beetle.
"I care about you, but you're about to receive one of the most spectacular ass whoopings in the history of your life..." BEST QUOTE EVER..... I'm using this in the next fight I get into. LOL!!!!
One of my favorite Bat-family stories of all time! Tim is THE best choice for Batman, and it's because he doesn't want it and has the most important thing about being Batman, brains. Dick is his own person by now, Jason would be a good Batman as he's one of the better fighters in the family, but he couldn't do it for long because he doesn't have the analytical mind Bruce has or real control over his emotions. Probably end up going on a killing spree or something. Damian is a clone of Bruce, not Batman, and is probably the best fighter out of every one, but he's never been on par with even Dick's detective skills, which is why I've always thought he should end up his own kind of hero, at least that's before Super sons. Super sons does change my opinion quite a bit, and if Selena becomes his actual mother like Lois, in a different way of course, I'll probably dig Damian a bit more but he definitely isn't what a Batman should be, as I think of it . Maybe if Batman had to fight and kill everything on the planet, so, the Batman of Apokolips? Batwing is just a stupid, Iron-man-like version of Batman that really shouldn't exist, so, although he's a cool character, I don't ever see him taking Bruce's place. That leaves Barbara (girls SHOULD be considered too, I think, which is why KATHY SHOULD DIE and we could have an ACTUAL Batwoman) but Oracle was always a better, more interesting and useful character, especially the dynamic of her and Dick, so I think that would fit alot more. I really don't think anyone else could be Batman, or at least a version that we might think of as a Batman, among the people chosen to be his so called successors. The closest would be Tim, and this story is an awesome story that could have happened if Tim had to do that, and he would be one of, if not the best of the alternate versions of Batman printed in DC. It even fits that he doesn't want to be Batman and asks about Conner! Such a good story!
Excellent work! Great idea to double up on DC Rebirth.. can never get enough DC and I was just beginning to feel every confused with all the Dark Nights Metal and Doomsday Clock stuff coming into play while trying to retain a clear grasp of the origins of every Rebirth character. :)
Given that this story plays with concepts from Titans Tomorrow, I think it would have been more compelling if they threw in a twist where Tim was actually trying to kill Cassie who becomes Batwoman in that future.
I like how Tim was once more retconned. In the new 52, Tim said “I was never Robin as it insulted Jason’s memory; so I became Red Robin.” Yet in DC Rebirth, Tim recalls being Robin first, then becoming Red Robin. This back peddle amuses me, but I like what they’re going for.
The flaw I find in Tim going back in time warning the Bat-family is that it does change the past since the Bat-family knows what WILL happen. All they have to do is help prevent it now. Boom , future changed.
Wow! Just WOW, Rob! Nicely done! I've been following these events and story arcs and watching this gave me more clarity and clearer context on the story. Be it from the characters, be it from the viewpoint of storytelling, you cleared the lasy remaining fog for me. I was excited about how the story would unfold then, and after watching this, I'm even more excited. *PS: Brother Eye = Batman's Skynet. 😄😄😄
That's an interesting connection to Doomsday Clock and Dr. Manhattan. I just took it at face value as this future Tim Batman is just Tim Bats from Geoff Johns' version from his Titans of Tomorrow storyline, thus further emphasizing and confirming what Pre-New 52 stories still exist (as well as a segue to brining in Connor Kent).
Dr. Man. didn't just wipe 10 years from peoples memories. He straight up removed 10 years from the actual timeline. That's why, at the beginning of the N52, everyone was 10 years younger, and events from before N52 hadn't actually happened.
Rob Batman of tomorrow is a savage! I'm glad you kinda cover this haha. I was just reading super sons of tomorrow. I can't wait next to find out with super boy!
No bullshit Rob said with a straight face “I care are about you but you are about to receive one of the most spectacular asswhoopings of your entire life” 😩😂😂
So I hope I am not alone in think that it is possible that the future Tim of Tomorrow is from could just be a splinter timeline from the main timeline, and that splinter doesn't occur till later on. The main reason I am thinking this is that Tim says to his younger self when they escape that he remember them meeting up but events played out slightly different, so in actuality it's defiantly a possibility at the very least. Also there is a line he says where he goes "besides Batwoman I don't think any of you should die except for Damian for what he does to that Kent boy." and I am telling y'all right now if they kill Jonathan Kent I'm probably gonna drop comics for a bit because he is one of my favorite characters right now.
It Batman Looper style . I mean Tim Drake meeting his future self , And saying everything will bad .Is almost like the movie Looper ,But great video Rob On this Batman story .
This future Tim story was done back in 2004-2005 in the story arc called, Teen Titans Vol. 4: The Future is Now. If you read that it will add more information to this whole video you just did concerning Conner and the Titans who become the new Justice League in the future. So future Tim is from BEFORE Flashpoint/New 52. That's WHY he knows Conner Kent. I believe that this future Tim timeline has not aligned yet with Rebirth because of Doc Manhattan.
Future Tim Drake cutting younger Tim Drake and seeing the scar is a stereotypical time travel theme. However how it was done, I feel was stolen straight from that Bruce Willis movie "looper".
Yeah, if future me told me a trusted friend was going to destroy my world and that killing them was the only way to stop that from happening I think I'd listen.
Cbat 1612 If you read Future’s End and Batman Beyond. This is that Tim Drake.
Basically, Flashpoint and Dr. Manhattan only affect present DC.
Future DC and past DC be like: What the fuck is going on here?
Like Earth 2 for example, in the future, it's still the Golden Age Earth but in the present, it's Apokalyp new planet.

Man Rob, from Marvel Explained to pumping DC so hard. Speaks volumes to someone like me who reads DC, and kinda gave up on Marvel, for a long time. Merry Christmas.
If I am being honest this is the best thing coming out of DC Rebirth. My favorite Robin kicking some ass is always a sight to behold.
"Well, Batwoman, you're out."
"What!?"
"You heard future-Tim, you're a backstabbing bitch -you're out."
Future saved. -Fin
I realize it is kinda off topic but do anyone know of a good place to watch new series online?
@Guillermo Colin I would suggest Flixzone. You can find it by googling :)
@Guillermo Colin I use FlixZone. You can find it by googling :)
This is such a great story... it has everything you want in a badass comic!! Dude, DC is killing it when it comes to their comics.
I was wonder when you'd cover this! Thanks Rob!
Rob could you cover Detective Comics #826, it's where Robin goes on a joyride with Joker during Christmas.
What I just realized, in the Dark Knight the system Bruce use find the joker is supposed to be brother Eye.
Yay, Conner Kent's back!!! Still waiting for Martian Manhunter and Captain Marvel to appear in Rebirth.
Hewy Toonmore MM got mentioned last issue of JL
This should be made into an animated movie. I'd definitely check this out
Now I wanna see what Connor Kent an Johnathan Kent would say to each other.
15:03 The feels seeing Alfred’s face when he realizes it’s Tim. It’s so touching and sad
I loved it when you said " You guys are about to get the greatest ass kicking in the entire history of your lives."
THE SHIT!
What a return!!!!!!
YESSSSSSSS!!!! Thank you Rob! I've been waiting for you to notice DC again for so looooong.
So happy tim drake, that amazing character is back, and that he has the coolest batsuit lmao
Future Tim Drake is a Batman who knows how to use his Prep Time ability. In other words, everyone he comes up against is pretty much fucked!
Had to watch this episode twice...so much info.
You do a great job bro.
Robcorp drinking game:
Every time Rob says the term "Part and Parcel", take a shot of Jack.
Just saw Justice League the movie finally, and towards the end of the film, all I can hear is Robb saying how weird the Flash runs... SMH... Lol... Still, the best thing coming outta DC Rebirth...
i am also happy tim drake is finally back because he's robin the best robin of all time in my opinion
yup indeed ;)
Yes I feel like this story proves that Tim is the most worthy successor to Bruce maybe not because of his fighting skills alone, but because he is well-rounded in all areas of crime-fighting
and he has the shortest tenure as batman's robin and became red robin.. lol
unfortunately during the new 52 that is entirely true
Duuuuuude Future Tim is a BEAST
Tim Drake's "death" was one of the best comic book "deaths".
I think there was a little sweat from my eyes when I read it.
This and "Oz Effect" take place before "DC Metal" bc of the few week gap in a later Detective Comic issue as well as Tim's appearance in the Teen Titans prelude to "Super Sons of Tomorrow" explaining that he specifically had not revealed his return to anyone other than the Bat-Squad featured here
Detective comics have been amazingly written since rebirth
They were NOT prepared! 🤣🤣🤣
Oh... i get it... 'it's 'batman with prep time'
No wonder the older tim drake was so op, lol.
Also yay conner kent is finally coming back i am so happy :)
Tevya Smolka ikr? Finally!
yup indeed and hey who knows maybe my dream can finally become true and we have Conner meet his brother Jon because that would be amazing :)
Jon Baird Super sons is a refreshingly happy comic it just not ur type of shit but it is not gay
History of Video Games
This is in no way shape or form, fun to read.
History of Video Games
That is the single most subjective sentence I've ever read in the last 17 years...
Con.... Congratulations??????
Connor Kent? It's about time
As a person struggling with certain aspects of morality and constantly worried that I'm going to go down the wrong path in life... this story couldn't resonate much harder.
Please please please ROB cover Titans of Tomorrow!!!! This is the Batman (Tim Drake) from the Oz effect.

YAASSSSS
Wow, that was so good

18:11 "Except maybe Damian. He should be killed on sight for what he does to that poor Kent boy." hahahahaha
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR PUTTING THIS OUT!!!!!!!
@15:59 Rob that's not Ace the Bathound. That's Titus, Damian's dog. Ace still exists if you check out Super Sons annual though
It even fits that he doesn't want to be Batman and asks about Conner! Such a good story!
Batwings suit is basically the prototype for the Batman beyond suit
Tim Drake of tomorrow is from the Teen Titans of tomorrow
Exclude the "Teen" part for obvious reasons.
Eradicator Superman so funny in that story with Guy Gardner:P
This was unbelievably amazing writing and I can't wait for the next issue.
Excellent work! Great idea to double up on DC Rebirth.. can never get enough DC and I was just beginning to feel every confused with all the Dark Nights Metal and Doomsday Clock stuff coming into play while trying to retain a clear grasp of the origins of every Rebirth character. :)

Liking this version of Batman just as much as Earth 2 super powered Thomas Wayne Batman...
Rob GREAT VIDEO I've never Spectacular and ass wooping in the same sentence! Keep them coming.
But the important thing is Tim’s back!
I like how Tim was once more retconned.
In the new 52, Tim said “I was never Robin as it insulted Jason’s memory; so I became Red Robin.” Yet in DC Rebirth, Tim recalls being Robin first, then becoming Red Robin.
This back peddle amuses me, but I like what they’re going for.
so good... finally tim at his best. the batman loyalist. the detective. and brother eye done right again
Thanks Rob. Just trying to read super sons of tomorrow, but I don't read detective comics. This was exactly what I was looking for!
Merry Christmas Rob! As a proud Saiyan of the Robcorp I humbly give you my energy for the new year! T^T
Hey Rob
Check out the intro cover art. Looks like Batman vs Undertaker. Lol. Is it just me that sees that?
The flaw I find in Tim going back in time warning the Bat-family is that it does change the past since the Bat-family knows what WILL happen. All they have to do is help prevent it now. Boom , future changed.
“You’re about to receive one of the most spectacular ass whoopings”😂😂😂
Merry Christmas Rob damn Rob you left us on a cliffhanger
I couldn't wait for u to do this one
Finally!!!!
Thanks Rob, this story is awesome. I've burned this one up.
This was badass!!!!!!
Two great videos in one day?! Merry Christmas to us
Great Story
As I recall, Brother Eye had its origin as the companion and guide to OMAC.
Love the content!! Keep it up G
Mah boy papa Rob back at it again with the videos
Wow! Just WOW, Rob! Nicely done! I've been following these events and story arcs and watching this gave me more clarity and clearer context on the story. Damn man...this video got me HYPE for upcoming bat-family stories. WTF BatWoman!? What are you gonna do!!??
Somewhere around 3:00 to 4:30 if u keep skipping it by 10 seconds u hear him say “Dick Dick Dick Dick.”
Dr. Man. didn't just wipe 10 years from peoples memories. He straight up removed 10 years from the actual timeline. That's why, at the beginning of the N52, everyone was 10 years younger, and events from before N52 hadn't actually happened.
Such a cool concept
That was fantastic
Rob Batman of tomorrow is a savage! I'm glad you kinda cover this haha. I was just reading super sons of tomorrow. I can't wait next to find out with super boy!
I love it 😍
Happy holidays dude love ur Channel
Omg, Rob you need to do Superson as soon as possible.
No bullshit Rob said with a straight face “I care are about you but you are about to receive one of the most spectacular asswhoopings of your entire life” 😩😂😂
Merry Christmas, Rob!
Thanks for another great Batman video; love them all. Can you send me a link to the outro music?
Also, Rob + Ben = Roben!
Cool stuff..Batman has the best storylines
I just have this feeling that Batwoman has done something this is linked to the Dark Knights Metal/Barbatos story.
I've always thought they should've made a new superhero identity for Tim which was a bit more removed from Robin.
never stop making videos !!!
To be fare it wasn’t saving his mother that created flashpoint. It was the physical act of him time traveling that did all that.
Tim Drake is the world's smartest detective.. I remember reading that somewhere.
*Merry Christmas Rob!* [From Belgium. great fan!]
Ruff comment on the Red Hood keeping up the Bat mantle.
Rob I love your videos keep it up man
Merry Xmas Rob!!
My boy Conner is coming back!!

It Batman Looper style . I mean Tim Drake meeting his future self , And saying everything will bad .Is almost like the movie Looper ,But great video Rob On this Batman story .
Keep doing Tim!
I love this story and the music what's the music?
Holy shit! Is this a future version of Pre 52 Tim?!
This future Tim story was done back in 2004-2005 in the story arc called, Teen Titans Vol. 4: The Future is Now. Future Tim Drake cutting younger Tim Drake and seeing the scar is a stereotypical time travel theme. However how it was done, I feel was stolen straight from that Bruce Willis movie "looper".
I wouldn't expect future Tim drake to be a villain...also this reminds me of days of future past
Great run for Tim Drake.
Yeah, if future me told me a trusted friend was going to destroy my world and that killing them was the only way to stop that from happening I think I'd listen.
Wow, this comic is amazing!
The dog is titus from batman and Robin the new 52 run, he is a great dane. Where Ace I think is a German Shepherd.
