So true 💔 - hope I‘ll find someone to whom I can gift the bag, who doesn’t mind and actually enjoys it.. then the money at least wouldn’t be completely wasted…
It's awful how some seller's try to pass fakes as authentic. It has happened to me also, new subscriber from Canada, Hi. 🙂 Looking forward to your video's. Have a wonderful day.
American poet, Maya Angelou, said “Do the best you can until you know better. Then, when you know better, do better!” Forgive yourself, Mary. This can happen to anyone. I know it feels awful. Can you get your money back, or report the seller for some closure?
That’s a beautiful quote 💕! Unfortunately there’s no guarantee at a flea market at all - the moment I walked away from the sales stall, I already started to have a strange gut feeling.. but was to scared/shy to go back and ask the seller to take the bag back (especially since it has just been a feeling at that point, not based on research) - and she probably would just have said „No - bought as seen!“. I don’t have a name or number of the seller.. I‘m not even sure, if I would be able to recognize her, if she sold at that flea market the next time again (and asking her to take the bag back now, would be even way harder, than if I would have tried to do so on the very same day). Guess it’s at my loss this time 🙈
hi Mary, It has happened to me to have bought an inauthentic Fendi tote. However since I have bought it on Ebay, I was able to get a return. These sellers really know how to hook us in. Oh well, I guess we learn.
Oh so sorry! I know I have shared my bad experiences on my channel. It happens! Don’t be angry with yourself. Just see it as a lesson and a reminder to be careful. ❤
Thank you Dawn! You’re right, there’s no point in beeing mad at myself now, I can’t change it anymore 🙈 just be more careful the next time - and sometimes it’s simply worth taking the risk
Mary I’m sorry about this bag probably not being authentic. I don’t support fakes either especially when you buy unknowingly. If I went to a flea market in Canada I would never expect to find an authentic bag at that price point. Even the fakes and the dupes would cost more.
I‘ve been lucky so many times (with items at incredible prices, that I got successfully authenticated afterwards) - that I now think: everything is possible 😁. But unfortunately sometimes it ends up beeing a disappointment
Sorry to hear about your experience! My first thought was that maybe it’s not the original strap and the seller just added some pouches to the bag but if the tags look different and that bag model can’t be found online then maybe there might be something wrong there 😅
Aww, don’t be hard on yourself, Mary. Most of us have had this happen, myself included. I ended up with two fake bags many years ago. One was presented as an authentic item, and other was listed as “not sure if it’s authentic or not” and I took a chance (didn’t work out for me either!). It’s all part of the learning process. I’m not buying bags right now, but I have almost entirely shifted my preloved bag purchases to those channels where authentication is part of the service provided. Peace of mind.
I’m sorry that you have had this experience Mary. I don’t recognise this style if I am honest and certainly don’t know their bags to come with an unbranded key pouches and cosmetics cases. However, it is a nice style so maybe you could unscrew the logo plaque and use it as unbranded !
Don’t blame yourself, don’t be mad at yourself - be mad on the scanner who did something criminal !!! - we have to stop blaming ourself when others take advantae… and are you sure that mulburrynbrand/ tag does not exist… I think at have seen it before… and the fact that there are a few extra, unbranded bags inside doesnt say anything, since this is maybe just how it was used or something .. not saying it’s not a fake, but ….the bag looks great!
Thank you 🥰! Unfortunately I'm very certain the SLGs belong to the bag, cause it's the exact same material, inside and out, aswell as the same zippers and shade of hardware - it would be too much of a perfect match, if they didn't belong to the bag. The tag inside of the bag might possibly exist in that style on other Mulberry bags, I'm not an expert on the brand
@@lg8723 there still is a small chance of it possibly beeing authentic, but the two pouches are super suspicious to me: they definitely belong to the bag, cause it’s the exact same material inside and out - but they don’t have any kind of Mulberry engraving, stamp or even tag. I‘m quite sure Mulberry would put a logo/name somewhere onto pieces like that
What do you do with the items you purchase that you believe are authentic, but end up not being? I have a “Prada” wallet that was an auction item from a gala I attended. When I got home, it looked great however it had a cheap lining that doesn’t match what the photo shows. Every time I look at it I get mad! What do I do with it now? I don’t support fakes & wont use. The auction money went to a children’s shelter so I can’t ask for a refund.
I either gift them to friends, who don’t care about luxury brands and authenticity, donate to a chairty shop (which sometimes might be tricky, cause I wouldn’t want them to sell it on at a high price point and make somone else think, it might be authentic) or take it to a flea market to sell it myself. But if I sell on an item like that, I always communicate very opelny, that it’s not the real deal - some people don’t mind and still enjoy it (some even enjoy it more, because of the cheaper price point).
This has happened to me, i would just remove all the branding and now you just have a fabulous bag
Uuuh that’s a good idea, have to see, if I can remove the logo plate, without damaging the bag 👌
Literally can’t trust anyone these days, so many scams and robberies… I hope you’ll find someone who’ll be able to use this bag 🙏✨

The strap and pouches are the exact same materials/shades as the bag itself - it would be nearly impossible to exactly match it

Hi, are you sure the bag is not from an outlet? Back in the early 2000's Mulberry were quite popular and they also had a lots of outlets .

Jup, guess that’s the best option now (just hope, no one else will buy it then, with the hope of it beeing the real deal 🙈)
Maybe give it away to someone who doesn't mind using a fake bag (ask first)?
