- KIKI'S DELIVERY SERVICE
From Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli
Celebrate this beloved coming-of-age story from the legendary Studio Ghibli, creators of Spirited Away, and Academy Award®-winning director Hayao Miyazaki, about a resourceful young witch who uses her broom to create a delivery service, only to lose her gift of flight in a moment of self-doubt.
It is a tradition for all young witches to leave their families on the night of a full moon and fly off into the wide world to learn their craft. When that night comes for Kiki, she embarks on her new journey with her sarcastic black cat, Jiji, landing the next morning in a seaside village, where her unique skills make her an instant sensation. Don’t miss this delightfully imaginative and timeless story of a young girl finding her way in the world, featuring the voices of Kirsten Dunst, Janeane Garofalo, Phil Hartman, and Debbie Reynolds. - Кино
Kiki's delivery service was always a family favorite
Kiki's delivery service IS always a family favorite
I watched this live in theaters, and the atmosphere was amazing!
One of my favorites, this movie means so much to me.
I Remember back in the Early 2000s i watch this beloved Movie on VHS. The Nostalgia is all Coming Back to me in the Modern Era of Films in Forms of DVD, Blu-ray, and Digital
(sigh) I so adore Kristen Dunst as Kiki!! 😍😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I have loved this movie and its dub since I came across it as a teenager.
Kirsten Dunst (Kiki) was 14-15 at the time that she recorded her lines, not much older than Kiki herself.
And let me just say, the late great Phil Hartman (RIP) as Jiji is a fantastic casting choice, if a bit out of the box. Like he steals every single scene he is in with his sarcastic, grumpy demeanor. God how I wanted to see more of him every time he was on screen.
Grew up seeing ads for this movie on my family's 'The Spirit of Mickey's VHS. Hopefully going to watch it for the first time here soon! 😁
I finally showed this to my mom, her first Ghibli movie ❤
I watched this with my family one time. I haven’t been able to find it until my movie theater will be playing it this weekend. It brings back good memories. I’m so glad I found it

I love this movie
I watch this film more than the my all time favorites, Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle. I watch I before I head off to work and for some reason in calms me.
I absolutely hated the 2010 version. I loved Kiki so much I knew every single line, and the Sydney Forest songs hold an eternal special place in my heart, but it was very noticeable to me that they edited out a lot of the dialogue (especially Jiji’s). It irked me so bad I gave away the “special edition” dvd I bought in 2010, and went and bought the 2003 dvd. I’d wish they fix it, I don’t know why it was Kiki they decided to make dramatic changes to as I haven’t noticed anything as drastic in the rest of the Ghibli movies
The 2010 version is closer to the Japanese version. Jiji never was supposed to talk at the end
That is why the 1998 Laserdisc will always be in demand until everyone's player breaks and there are no parts or repair services to fix them.
Where can I find the OG version
@@cartersteele6416I remember learning something about when Disney first got the rights to dub the movie and release it in the US, they for some reason couldn’t get the rights to use the two Japanese songs in the film, which led to the English ones by Sydney Forest. They also added dialogue for Jiji, including him talking at the end. When they remastered the movie, they were able to use the original Japanese songs, so they returned it to its previous version with those songs and without the extra dialogue.
In the first English dub, Kiki regaining her witch powers also meant being able to hear Jiji again, whereas in the original film her no longer being able to hear him had to do with her growing up. The remastered dub returned things to this version. If one saw this version first, it’d be fine, but if they saw the first English dub with the added dialogue, they’d be disappointed (that was the case for me, first buying the remastered version then having to seek out the prior English dub, so now I have both).
I get the message the original had, and I’ve grown to like the Japanese songs more, but the one with the English songs and added dialogue, including that which does change the ending, is for those who saw it first probably the more enjoyable one.
Kirsten Dunst is the best actress who voices Kiki in the English version. James Franco and Mila Kunis join Dunst in the film.
Not to mention the late great Phil Hartman (RIP) as Jiji. Steals every single scene he is in.
James Franco and Mila Kunis aren't in the English dub for Kiki's Delivery Service. Where did you hear that?
@@matthewallen445 in the 2010 version
@faradillaramadhita1782 Huh. I didn't know there was a 2010 version of the English dub. Just to clarify, who does James Franco and Mila Kunis voice in that version of the dub?
@@matthewallen445 Franco voices Tombo, while Kunis voices Ursula.
🥹 NOSTALGIAAA

This movie is so good
I’m very surprised I have never heard of this movie until I heard of the song, on a clear day. Now I actually want to go and check out this movie.
Wish they’d fix Kiki’s robot voice that got added when they tweaked the Disney dub
I don't like Disney anymore

Kiki delivers service is my favorite movie 😊😊😊😊😊
Kikis delivery service now available on netflix
Need a new release of this with better audio
I wonder why they posted an official English trailer this many years after it's English relise
WHERE DID THAT EDIT GO!?!?!?!?!?
I look forward to seeing & hearing Kiki’s Delivery Service on the Big Screen in Dubbed English this October. But I’m still hoping for both Spirited Away & Tales From Earthsea for next year’s Studio Ghibli Fest.
Is this a redub?
It's the 1998 dub Frankensteined into an approximation of a modern-era dub. They've taken out the Sydney Forest songs, the added bgm tracks and a bunch of Phil Hartman's Jiji adlibs, but there's no redubbing or anything. They apparently didn't have the original audio recordings, so some of the edits have lower quality audio where they had to attempt to isolate the dialog from the Sidney songs or the other added bgm they took out and some of the dialog sounds distorted in places although most of it's not really noticeable if you're not aware of it already.
@@megatronacepticon why they take the songs out? It was fine the way it was
The new mix is inferior in every conceivable way. It sounds like they went back to the source tapes and noise reduced them. And removing Phil Hartman's extra lines of dialog and Sydney's songs, i'm not a fan. I'll never give up my laserdisc until you release an uncut and fixed version.
Similar to "Peter Pan" & "Buzz Lightyear"
The first one of the studio Gibley movies I ever saw
But……..
I only like the Disney version
I don't like Disney
Ost?
ジジの声がじじいだな、興ざめ
As an animator, this movie handles the unique universal message of Burnout so poetically with love ❤🩹✨
I loved when she could suddenly fly again when Tombo was in danger. The magic was so powerful, she could hardly control it!
I love this movie
