      +Howard Pinsky Why are your videos less popular than Terry White's? You both released similar videos at the same time, if not your videos are earlier. They're even more informative, clear, and you get straight to the point.

    WOW. That is great Howard. Just goes to show I can still learn from young talent at age 70. A little fast for me to retain at my level, but by watching several times I was able to retain a lot. I haven't used the masking tools much because I never tearned to use them properly. I am pretty much self-taught when I need to do something within my designs. RUclips tutorials have been a blessing. Thank you so much for providing these tutorials.

    Holy crap you cover a lot of steps--I had a hard time catching it all the first time and I'm pretty advanced!! I prefer the slightly colored version. I think the softness compliments the lovely photo.

    Outstanding tut! There's a bunch of techniques that I didn't know, pulled my hair trying to do or gone the long way around. Using the layer mask as a selection, adjusting the opacity of an adjustment layer and the mask edge instead of the so- so results using the fringe options on the image. Thanks again!

    Wonderful tutorial, and just in time for a project I'm working on, too! Loved the more colored/vintage version, but the B&W is nice as well. Personally, I lean more toward the vintage look.

    Hello,
    i have a problem with one step - at 5:33 when you erase the excess part on th right. everytime i want to do that the whole image gets "erased"... i hope you know i mean, like the whole picture gets repainted with the brush, not just the part of the mask, i dunnow what i am doing wrong please help

    Hi, I'm having some troubles at 3:37. I can't drag only one of them. When I try to adjust it both sliders move and it's giving me undesired results. Is there a set up I should do first? Thank you!

    I did alt and drag at 2:48 and it just copied the layer. Obviously Photoshop has updated since this video was made, but does anyone know a different way to do this?

    HI, I was with you until 2:57 in when you made the girl a clipping mask and she neatly fit into the tree shape. If I don't change the blend mode to lighten my subject just sits on top of the layer 0. Help?

    Wow, awesome tutorial. Disagree with the people saying that you should slow down, I like how conciese you are. If it's too fast for you, you can always pause/rewind or even use RUclips's speed control to make it play slower.

    I'm lost at 6:05 when you turned the tree layer into a selection how exactly did you turn that tree layer into a selection? you also did it at 7:11

      Reymark Palcon Hold down Command/Ctrl and click on the layer's thumbnail.

    I'm having trouble getting the gradient to work with the image. Are there any tips you could give me to help? i know this is an old video and the program is drastically different but maybe there's an alternative way to make the same effect happen?

    All that happens when I hold alt to get the clipping mask (2:55) is that I get a copy of the image (another layer).
