Huddersfield fan here who went to the game. Lovely to hear how sincere and genuine he is both before and after the game, and I felt the release of emotion of your fans since you underperformed against us in the home league fixture, happy for you whilst being disappointed. You shut us down well, let our slow ponderous defenders have it and outworked us. Maybe we'll see you in the play-offs if you can find a decent manager or keep this guy who really cares about Bolton. I'm never nice to away fans but you sussed us out today, well played
Back to basics, passion, playing for the shirt, sticking your head on it, winning your duels, offering a threat on the counter, keeping our shape. No overcomplicating everything, bloody brilliant everybody today from the coaching to the players. Hopefully we can build on this, take the momentum and confidence for whoever comes in we know we have it in us now to really dig deep as a team.
What a man to step up, what a team to grind out that win, what a day! Julian’s persona epitomises what our club is about and how much it means to everybody.
Well done Julian, Brought back old Burnden Memories and none of this tippy tappy from the back.. Hope you get to keep this spot for a while... Roll on Tuesday night.
Great result Julian, i was glued to the Tv today whereas I normally switch off at half time and go for a couple of beers, loved every minute it today tho 👌 xx well done pal
I remember when John McGovern came to our school and sat having dinner with Julian and the Headmaster in the dining hall when he signed for the whites. To see him standing there in McGovern's role 40 years later is full circle and as good as it gets. Not been today but we've Reading tickets in hand and will be travelling down next week to hopefully welcome the new man but however long Julian's in charge he deserves all the success that comes his way. A true Bolton legend and one of our own.
Jules ("as they call him at Burnden Park") came to my school with Jimmy Phillips back in the 80s. He appeared to be a level-headed young man then and he's clearly kept the pride, dignity and love for the club that decent men like Phil Neal and Bruce Rioch no doubt instilled. Younger fans may not know this but he took a bit of stick from the fans early in his playing career when things weren't going particularly well but he came through it with sheer determination to become a favourite on the terraces. He's most definitely one of our own.
Loved that, was great to see & one of the surprising stories life throws up & being a GenX I much remember his playing days - was kinda disappointed to see not stepping forward for job full time though & this wouldn’t count for all characters, doesn’t feel he has the managerial knowledge to taken bolton forward instead of claiming he can for his own ego - a true bolton man
next up is a battle of two bwfc giants, darby vs nolan. both were favourite playerd of mine both always gave everything as players for the club. i just hope we beat kevin nolans team on tuesday. what a win at huddersfield for julian.
Evatt must be under a rock somewhere. Same formation, No pissing around at the back, More direct. And you could see at the end of the game the players response, They looked like a weight as been lifted now Evatt as gone.
Thought Jules got his tactics spot on, the players played with more freedom and they ran through walls for him today. Great stuff today and a cracking result! 👊
Thank you Bolton, thank you for beating us, I’ve been waiting so long since 1st October last year for the losing feeling to return to this town😃😂. You were the team to do it. We were 16 games unbeaten but unlike some of our fans, I haven’t been wearing rose tinted glasses. We’re not that good, it’s the opponents that were contributing to the unbeaten run. I wouldn’t mind staying down, it’s that not important to me to see Town go up. We’d only struggle in the Championship anyway, which is a more demanding league. Thanks for beating us again Bolton. 😃😂😃😂
This is what we have missed! A Bolton man through and through and just brimming with pride and love for our club. Well done Jules, completely and utterly amazing ❤❤❤

She wheeled her wheelbarrow
Through streets broad and narrow

Give him the job.
Fair play - you deserved it 100%. Our performance was indicative of why we won't break top 2 or win the play offs
I thought these players were mentally fragile 🤷🏻♂️ Evatt, what a prat
