I am a chicken keeper, and I have never seen those sweet little laying hen salt cellars! They are so cute! I can see them on my holiday table as my kids would really think they were fun too! I live in the boons and have no quality antique shops near me. It is such a treat to visit one vicariously! ❤
@@ladybug3090 Got the Waterford Lismore Diamond cut-to-clear vase, the German biscuit barrel, and a rare jam jar in my Villeroy & Boch Burgenland pattern. 💙
@LadyMaryBeth isn't it a thrill to find china patterns that match your collections. While I was in Spokane WA, I found a Wexford dinner plate and was overjoyed to have found one in the wild.
That store had so many interesting pieces! I love that Waterford blue vase! I had a great find this week in a charity shop- 2 Colleen liqueur glasses for $1! ( they were half price too😁). Thanks to all your knowledge sharing, I’m getting better at spotting Waterford in the wild❤
32:20 I lived in Heidelberg the last 3 years I lived in Germany...1992-1995. I attended night school at the Frankfurt International School for several years prior to moving there. I was a Federal Government Employee and Veteran. I visited the college in Heidelberg, and I'm simply proud of the fact I I had the opportunities I did in life. I'm very thankful, very. You make me so homesick. 😍 Thanks so much for sharing your videos, really, thank you.
Well, have experienced a first, I have never jeard that elegant glassware of the early 1900's was dishwasher safe. I have always been told never put antique glassware in the dishwasher, so therefore I teach others not too my self. I don't even want to risk it too see if it is doable. I grew up washing dishes by hand, as it is quite theraputic for me, even washing and folding clothes to be theraputic. Thank you for a beautiful video.
There are many reproductions of the depression measuring cup reamer sets in many colors. Perhaps an episode about them would be a good choice. There's more than just the measure and mixnig cup instead of mixing cup out there. On the green like this, a black light can also be beneficial. This one looks to have a straight tab on the reamer and that's a good sign. Your prices are much better in TX. I'm ready to come with trailer to purchase the Victorian furniture pieces. People are paying crazy prices in the online auctions these days for everything. I think the IKEA days are finally over and the young people can appreciate well made furniture. Thank you for the videos.
You mentioned that Depression glass is dishwasher safe. I did not know that, and have washed mine by hand. I would certainly use it more frequently if it can be washed in the dishwasher!
Hi Mary Beth. I like that I get a front row seat [as it were] on your forays into antique stores, estate sales, thrift stores etc, etc. I love that I always learn something. (And frequently many somethings.) And seeing old friends too. It's like auditing a really fun class. Thank you much.
I have a great collection of Jeanette Iris pieces. They will be used when we celebrate our Golden Anniversary in two years. I had heard of Granny’s Corner, thank you for the lovely tour!
What lovely treasures you've shared with us. I have a sherd of Native American pottery that i found and have no idea how to begin to find someone to make a pendant out of it for me. Do you or anyone know where ide begin?
Omg my absolute favorite film is The Help and I so desperety want that pitcher set😢. We don't have that in the Netherlands.. Amazing Mary Beth.. My heart skipt a few beats. How can I purchase this 1950 set from the movie? Would be a dream come true. Love Maaike
@@LadyMaryBeththank you so much. I did send them a email, when they don't reply I will call. But there is a huge time difference 😊. Thank you again for the replay. I enjoy all your videos, watch every single one of them ❤ have a good day!
Greetings Lady Mary Beth! (Note: I am still leisurely going through your antiquing videos, so I apologize if you have already covered this in depth.) Are there any types items that are more prevalent/easy to find in the USA versus Germany? (e.g. Fenton glass items in the USA) *Rather, could you make a video covering this as a topic? 😅
The USA would certainly have more Depression Glass and elegant glass of that era. Sterling silver tableware and flatware is somewhat affordable and available here. In Germany, silver plate is very expensive and Sterling is out of reach. Good idea to highlight. Thanks!
31:00 OMGoodness! I have some Steins with music boxes in them. I must admit, it's one of the things I really miss from Germany, the beer. I've settled on Yuengling. Again, I will move home one day. (Amelia L. Dean-Friske). I've tried to change my name on here, but it doesn't allow me to for some reason. I will have at least 1 piece of Cobalt Blue Cut to Clear Waterford one day also.
Amelia, great to hear from you. Had not seen so many steins in one place, including in Germany. I had to go back to Granny's Korner for the Waterford cut-to-clear vase.
Oh my goodness, this was such a great visit. You should have your own tv show!
Would be a dream come true!
Definitely!
That cream and sugar sterling is a steal!
What would we do without you? I have learned so much since discovering your channel. Always looking forward to the next one. 😍
I appreciate you! Stay tuned for the Houston Glass Show & Sale.
Thanks for taking us to Granny’s Corner! That Waterford vase, blue cut to clear: magnificent!
Was hard to leave it on the shelf. Still dreaming of the Lismore Diamond vase. 💙

Granny's Korner might still have those salt cellars. It's worth a call. Their contact information is in the video description. Thanks for watching!
As always, I learned something about many of the vintage items today. Thank you for sharing your knowledge ❤
Thanks for watching. Many items sold before I could feature them. Lots of great items in that shop.
It's always a treat when you take us shopping with you. The selection was unbelievable.
Must admit that I went back this week and found a few treasures to take home.

Was tempted to get it, but had my eye on that Waterford vase.

26:44 On my bucket list. I love to make homemade Gluhwein and I really want one of these. Beautiful.
Harder to find stateside. I see them often at German flea markets.
How much was the Alter table??? Great video!
The price is $1200.

China Baroque can probably make a pendant from your pottery. You can call or email the store.

That high alter table may have come from a community temple. The table would be higher to allow it to be seen by many people who would be standing x
Good insight! Most that I see in private homes are low tables. Makes sense.
