The first time I came across this NPC, I agreed to watch his stuff waited there like a fool for a few minutes, then just said, "To hell with him" and left. On my second playthrough, I figured I'd take a look at what he wanted me to guard. When I realized the loot wasn't that big a deal, I got annoyed and took it, then lost honor and got even more annoyed 😆
I got this encounter in my first playthrough, but it was closer to Strawberry. I waited by the crashed wagon without touching his stuff for a couple of hours, feeling like a fool, and then I tried following in the same direction the guy went, only to find him sleeping leaning against a tree. I kicked him in the face, robbed him and looted his crashed wagon.
