So I wasn't curious how big your head was before this video, but now that it's being used as a scale. . . I think for science, the internet has to know
With big models, it's not uncommon to have partial failures so if one wants a perfect print, quite a bit of resin ends up being wasted. It's especially frustrating when pre-supported models were not supported particularly well. 😑
Yeah I always get a little worried when I hit print on a large model. I've been pretty lucky with most of mine and find it's more terrain that goes wrong. I've gotten better with terrain though so had less failures, but it's really frustrating when you get a fail and lots of wasted resin.
Now I'm scared I really thinking of a 3d resine printer, but only 4 figures of about 15-20cm, is not too much, I was expecting at least 10 of those. :S
I started hollowing a lot of my large models out, and it’s really saved my resin! Mine seems to be lasting forever haha Great video! :)
Yeah it is really handy, I always just worry I've not cleaned them properly and they will end up cracking eventually because of it 😂
How do you hollow them out.. I used the settings in anycubic and other slicers but it never hollows
Hollow prints are a game changer.
Yeah they really are. I try to avoid them for most of my minis, but anything that get's too large gets the hollow treatment.
I'm pretty new to printing. Is hollow printing a setting in the slicer? Definitely want to take advantage of that.
@@WeBenJamin100 yes! google it!
@@WeBenJamin100 make sure to add drainedge
if its large enough I always hollow my models, huge resin saver
That makes sense. Makes a huge difference to the amount of resin used.
I would so wanna use that giant wurm thing for age of Sigmar as a chaos lord on karkadrak
What was the average size of these four models in mm?

I'm taking that secret with me to the grave!

I love the paint you have make, what's this method bro? :)
I would guess about 1 kilogram of minis minus supports and failures, and spills and wasteage.
