I want to thank you for your Chanel. It has been a great blessing to me. During the past two weeks, while recovering from colon cancer surgery, I have watched all of your videos. They were a tremendous help to keep my mind occupied as I recover. I could not wait until today’s video! Man, it did not disappoint, as I watched you correct the blade on the case knife and purchase the clearance buck knives at Walmart. You have reignited my passion for knives. I gathered all of the ones which I already had and have boxed on my desk so that when I am feeling better. I can clean them up. My Dad loved pocket knives and all of his are already boxed. I am grateful to you fanning the flame within my heart for knife collecting. I appreciate your service in the Marines. I have two cousins that chose the Marines for their careers. I have another one that lost his life serving in Viet Nam. Dad served in the Army-Air Force during WW I I. He was in the the 13th Army-Air Force serving in the Philippines. I have the complete correspondence between Dad and Mom during that time. They both kept their letters and put them together after his return. I have preserved them in eight 2 inch binders. I didn’t mean to be so long in writing all of this. I truly wanted you to know what a tremendous blessing you are to me! May the Lord bless you and your families. I pray that your celebration of Easter will be blessed by our risen Lord Jesus!
God bless all our Veteran’s of the US military. Every single one of them of them deserve so much better from our government and citizens around the country.
Wow, Doc! You are a master wheeler & dealer. I nearly fell off my chair when you asked about those Buck knives and heard the “clearance price.” Excellent video.
Well done on the 110 lt models deal I carry one most days they are great knives and that case turned out great as well keep up the good work stay sharp Kevin
Great info, thank you much. I have a buck knife just like your case. Knife that you claim and I cannot get it to shut. My fingers aren't strong enough. Have a good day, keep smiling.
Kevin, that was a great buy on those Buck 110 Lt. Knives. I noticed one in our local Walmart about a month an a half ago. Couldn't believe what I saw and brought on inspection. I told my brother and he was able to latch on one for 13 dollars. These knives I believe are made for Walmart sales but they still are American made. The Buck name is larger than the ones from Buck; I think they look sharp and of course are sharp. Enjoy the find and whoever gets it will be happy. Rog/Iowa.
I scored this weekend also,, found a Case, 31SAB, with 9 dots, so she's a 1971 model, never even been sharpened. The Slick Back Jack,,, or official name,, Sleeveboard. Amazing walk and talk.
Very cool on those Buck Pickups, so awesome!! I found one of the same 110 LT's at my wal mart and it was $15. I couldn't believe it when i seen that box with the flag on it for $15.. Even tho i had one already i had to get another!! Man, that XXchanger is awesome-great job saving that one!!
I have to stop watching your channel, every time I see it ,I find myself on another hour dive into my own knife collection, opening and closing folders, and reminiscing how and when I bought them. 😆😆
God Bless America and their Home based companies. Incredible warranty and blades, God Bless BUCK company and their workers, where in the world do you get such a quality product and warranty at such price, pray they never change! Thanks Kevin! What a beautiful Case! USA MADE Baby!
That was such an epic score at Walmart! I’ve been there to my local Walmart store three times now where I’ve waited as long as 45 minutes for someone to come and open the glass case and nobody showed up. i’ve had the money in my hand wanting to buy. I really wish they had someone always in sporting goods..
Cool video thumbs up. I live in a tri-state area. There are several Walmarts within thirty minutes of where I live. I going to check them all out today. I will let you know.
I Just found your channel today, been collecting knives since I was a kid, my late mother took away my first knife because I was only 11 years old and I’ve beech hooked ever since. May God views you and your family
Knife Dr. My wife purchased me that very case knife you were wondering about. It came with the red delrin handle scales and the shield is oval but it's a little bit bigger oval than the classic one. Inside the oval there is a color filled american flag inside. It looks nice with the bright red delrin scales and the American flag together. Stay safe. Blessings. Cheers.😊 Ps she purchased it at wall- mart about six or seven years ago. 😊
Oh wow Kevin you got a really good deal . I'm going to go to Walmart . You right ya never know till you go see an ask . Really good knife hunt hope you have a great day Kevin god bless. Happy Easter.
Used to have a Buck Selector. Made just about identical to the Case you just cleaned up. I've kicked myself in the tail many times for getting rid of that knife. Bought it new years ago at Sears. And it was the blaze orange which from my understanding is the most difficult one to find. Great video and good snag from Walmart sir.
Great find with them Bucks, you got Christmas gifts covered for your buddies😂😂. Got 6 good knives at the flea market today, ready for the next hunt. Thanks for the video. Happy Easter!!!
I believe that is a stag handle changer. It has just been worn real good. I have 3 of these. A amber bone, 6.5 bone stag, and a camo zytel (plastic) hand one. Had a Rosewood but sold it.
Awesome score on the bucks. Nice new blade on the changer. I've been trying to find a sheath for my changer if you find a place that sells them will you let me know. Happy Easter
I’ll find out sometimes on those deals like that you have to be in the right place at the right time for Walmart. When they were clearing out the Casio watches I actually scored big time like that. I’ve never been so lucky to score knives. I take that back. I ended up with a bunch of Kershaw’s about 8 years ago.
Great video and great finds! I was talking to my father about the sticker issue there and he recommended heating the glue up to loosen it to peel it off. I've used the same method for repairing screens on electronics like smartphones so it's a sound idea for in the future.
Kev, I got that 1040T cleaned up that I told you about several weeks ago. I guess around 1970. It says Schrade USA 1040T on the clip blade. I knife. It will always be compared to my Kabar, though.cleaned$100 for the same the blades with Flitz and loosened up the blades with Super Lube. My Walmart does not have crap in the way of knives, but my Ace Hardware has a pretty good collection of Case knives. I bought a 318-5 from them the other day for $78. Amazon wants
I bought a Case knife the other day and was so disappointed. The blade grind was uneven and cracks in the handle where the pins are. I really hope Case isn't going downhill. Although some could get past QC. Anyways great video
If you ever want to "antique" either bone, horn, antlers or ivory, you can use a 50 % dilute solution of potassium permanganate to turn it dark brown...Dilute it 50% with water and "paint" it on..let it penetrate, then wipe dry...Rub the surface with fine steel wool to bring out the worn or antique appearance that is so nice. This is permanent so don't get it on your own skin or it will turn it brown and it will have to "wear" off.... To finish, give it a couple coats of hard wax..You can also buff wax it. This works particularly well on Stag handles. Just experiment with it, the results are outstanding..It will not work on plastics or materials that are not organic in nature.
It’s a Solar powered Seiko with a green canvas watch band!! I love it. It cost me about $200 a few years ago. Keeps perfect time and it also has the date.
@@theknifedoctor yes! I also think that strap came from that green tarp John J Rambo wore when he found that old tarp in the movie First Blood in the mountains. Ha

Soak stickers or labels with some lighter fluid and you can peel them off without ruining the box. Also works to separate labels from each other.
