CJ, Subscribed after watching the podcast with Billy n Tommy, you 3 talked for a while but seemed like you were just getting comfy and the memories racing each other , you and Billy had different takes on your first time meeting and racing..I hate when Tommy downplays his own stories with you all...HE'S much better than he thinks, maybe just humble but I see loads of racers giving Tommy mad props and know when lining against him they're always on their A game...Tommy's tuning is getting very good to, but seeing you and the work you do on your car , MAD RESPECT TO YOU TO, THE AMOUNT OF DIFFERENT THINGS YOU HAVE TO TAKE OFF TO GET,SWITCH A PART IS WAY MORE THAN A TURBO CAR...PLUS YOUR ALONE, WORKING HARD IN YOUR DAY JOB, THEN WORKING ON THE CAR... THIS IS WHY I LOVE SMALL TIRE RACING BECAUSE WE SEE WHAT IT TAKES EACH DRIVER TO DO BEFORE EVEN GETTING TO A RACE, I'M WATCHING YOU ON ANOTHER UPLOAD CHANGING THE CARB AND THE TIP WITH THE DOUBLE NUT IS GENIUS... Done a hell of a job with the car CJ. A lot going on under the hood of the old girl, but ya built her up right so not terrible to do maintenance it looks like.
Ooof threadserts protruding onto the combustion chambers, they absorb heat and turn into a glow plug during a pass. Better off to weld the hole up and redrill/tap it back out to fresh threads so the plug can dissipate the heat as its designed to back into the head.

@@raggedyannohiosmalltire2329 ive seen it happen at the track, buddy smoked a plug and ate the threads on the way out and when i walked up they had scoped the bore and piston but didnt hurt anything. They had a threadsert in their hands and i was like hold up, did you try to chase the threads and of course they hadnt or did they have a thread chaser. I told them to sacrifice an old plug, take the cut off wheel and cut 3-4 grooves vertical in the threads for a quick home made thread chaser and if the threads somewhat clean up and can get it started then hammer it home and pull the head tomorrow. They didnt and stuck a threadsert in it, ended up melting a piston and blowing the hood halfway off past mid track. It was the finals so i cant say i blame them and they won $4500 so hey it made it to the stripe first no matter the results🤣

Word of advice coming from a 30 yr veteran which has had twin triple banke snap-on tool boxes loaded with 70% snap on the rest mac,matco,sk...stop wasting your money on the shit yes they are nice , yes you can still pee while standing it's a ne you are paying for they loose there value like a new car there are a ton of products out there just as nice in the end of the day when you retire your stuck with tools you can't even insure or sell atleast sell and get back even close to half what u paid

It was kinda a last resort to make one more race before end of season without pulling it apart. It didn’t work so it came apart. Lol.
