I'd suggest 1. learn about UX design - the principles, the techniques, and the essentials. Download or buy a few books on UX writing. 2. Once you gather all the information, you can create a portfolio by taking webpages, forms, or links of well-known brands like Uber, Spotify, or Google and give it your spin. See if you can improve their writing. Take other apps and websites whose writing definitely need to be improved. Possibly get in touch with some UX designers and request if you could provide content for their designs. Dribbble could be one place to start. 3. Once you have a portfolio in place you can start getting in touch with companies to hire you. 4. You can also start networking with people in the industry to be aware of the trends, learn from them, get feedback etc. Check out: uxwritinghub.com/ Also research like crazy on the internet. Absorb everything you can get to learn about the subject. I'm a copywriter aspiring to be a UX writer, and this is the basic groundwork I've done for myself. Hope this helps a little. :)
