Finally.... somebody had a brain fart and realized that a vast majority of truck drivers want just a plain Jane machine that can do what you want it to. We do NOT need all that electronic crap!!!
Everyone here is worried about the low cost. I'm just worried about the cost to buy Freightliner parts from actual Freightliner shops. Just changing the oil on these trucks isn't cheap, that's for sure. Buying an oil filter for these trucks would be the same as a Freightliner 26/28-foot box truck. How much do you think that will cost you? And other parts are no different from what you buy for a regular Freightliner box truck. I say this because I have a lot of experience driving these, and I work as a box truck owner-operator of a 28-foot Freightliner. I can tell you that no parts or anything are cheap when it comes to fixing or changing out anything on a Freightliner. That's the catch with the low cost. They would make more money off of parts than what they sell the trucks for. You're a one-time buyer-buying a Freightliner is a one-time thing-but buying parts is forever until you get rid of it. And you can't sell it for more than the cost because you would say, "I spent a lot of money on this truck and all that." Then people wouldn't buy it for a high price, and now you're stuck with it. So there's a lot more to think about than just the price.
The catch is that it's just a body and frame that are $8000 everything after that is the options package add-on you know things like the Steering wheel seats wheels tires The engine the transmission.....
I loved my freightliner top kick western hauler. Back seat had a power fold out bed. Would haul goose necks or big trailers. Bumper pulls and the metallic hot pink looked good. Had near 400k miles when i sold it. Never had major failures. Just regular maintenance tlc and synthetic oil
If I want a decent freightliner, grab a day cab Cascadia, rip the fifth wheel off the frame and the trailer connection utilities, and install the bed off a old Ford F250 on the frame where the fifth wheel used to be.
If this was true, I’d buy one immediately! Drove a freight-liner fire apparatus for years, towing a 40 ft HazMat trailer! Never even felt it behind me, but the truck was magnificent!
I would like to go to a Freightliner dealer and check out the sport pack with Diesel To pull my 5th wheel. I would consider bigger truck than I have now. Both of mine are show quality over 35 yrs old. Would love to hear whats on the agenda.
I think that just about every brand name has somehow advertised an "$8,000" pickup. So far, the closest i have found is a bare bones truck, in the $25,000!
The answer is no. But, if you put it to work as an over the road commercial vehicle, yes. Just the tractor would require a class C or B. If pulling a trailer class A CDL on C,B,A for commercial. Otherwise, private vehicle including with trailer - NO
They said my 2009 Nissan Altima 2.5s could only seat 4 people. I have a center seat in the bench seat in the back, and I've managed to seat 5 people in there no problem. well, except for that one time when we ran out of passenger room and had to let 2 of my buddies ride in the trunk.
It did say starting at 8 grand. I looked it up and they have a rear wheel version and 4 wheel version. So once you add everything it'll be over 25 grand.
Freight Shaker LOL A Real work truck is a truck with a 5 speed manual transmission, with 8 feet bed heat and cooling with just a FM Radio only that it you need no more!!!!!!
tell us when yours will be for sale, or we will run off and buy the brat for 8k or the montana for 8k or the tesla for 8k, all pickups promised so far.
No you don’t! I’ve rented Ryder, Penske, and others, never been asked for a CDL, now in some states you can be asked to get a Air Brake Endorsement, but if is under the states requirement for gross Vehicle Weight, your in.
Come on, this double cabine shown will cost somewhere between 125,000.- and 200 thousand Dollars depending on Extras. To me its phantasie reports, just waisted time !!
With everything I've seen, I would gladly get rid of my Silverado for this. If this is for real. I don't understand why they were comparing this to the Ford line only, Ford is garbage. Why not compare this to Chevy and RAM also.

Sharp looking, but looks like low clearance off the ground.
I like the awd.
You LIE... these rigs are $200,000 and up...

Don't think you could buy the tires for that little.
Stay safe and let the good times roll.
Do You need a cdl for this truck?

Correction: $80,000.
They said my 2009 Nissan Altima 2.5s could only seat 4 people.

First things first. There's no way in hell it's gonna be that cheap! What a hook. Caterpillar is doing a similar thing. We shall see🤔
I'd buy one today
Where is this at, I'll buy it now.
It did say starting at 8 grand. I looked it up and they have a rear wheel version and 4 wheel version. So once you add everything it'll be over 25 grand.
Even @ 25k it's still cheaper than most base model pick up! I've had 4 rams wife 4 F150 all over 50k!
April's Fools! 🎉😂😁🤪🤣😂
Incredible" If so why buy a newer truck for well over $30,000 or $40.000 when you can get this for probably less than $20,000 with options included.
Where can I get one
You can't buy a decent used truck for that price! If these trucks were available, you wouldn't see that price till it's at least 15 years old😢
Where the link and will you be selling in Virginia?
I’ll max my cards out right now now for one or two of these babies
Do you need CDL for this truck
I would like to see what the "Pioneer" will look like.
This is not a pickup. The Semi he is showing you can buy used for around $150,000.
Definitely forgot a 0 ,it starts at 80k and goes up with whatever you want in it.
$8000 bucks let’s see that truck
When will it arrive in dealerships?
8000? Hell the motor cost that much
where can I buy one?
If it has air breaks you are going to have to have a CDL license
There's no way that truck is only $8,000 thousand dollars. Maybe just maybe a down payment
The truck you're showing is not 8k... not with current economy
OK...where is it?
ok where can i buy 1 at.
This truck is my dream truck
I own a raptor cost me 50000 paid it off after 5 years 6 months I really want to see what they offer
There’s no such thing unless you pay $209K
8,000? Just looked at a 2006 model for 81,000
How do you buy one
Freight Shaker LOL A Real work truck is a truck with a 5 speed manual transmission, with 8 feet bed heat and cooling with just a FM Radio only that it you need no more!!!!!!

The truck they keep showing is about $180,000 just saying
That have had these out for years but not for 8000 dollars
We're can I get one
Is this available in Canada ???
I will be shocked if this
Is correct
Is this available in South Africa??
Looks too big for me. I'll keep my 1998 Nissan Frontier. For the $3,000 I paid for it, it's just fine.
This is a semi load of Horse Pucky!
tell us when yours will be for sale, or we will run off and buy the brat for 8k or the montana for 8k or the tesla for 8k, all pickups promised so far.
And what class license you need for it? A, B or C?
This is more of a commercial truck then a pickup .
Air breaks require a CDL License
No they do not. Most freighliner m2 box trucks have air disc brakes, and you can rent them from penske without cdl. Gvw is what requires cdl.
Just need a physical. Either way its not commercial, they claim its consumer.
Not in Alaska. Drove one for 5 years. Never had a problem.
@@robvh1992 wow !!!

Come on, this double cabine shown will cost somewhere between 125,000.- and 200 thousand Dollars depending on Extras. To me its phantasie reports, just waisted time !!
None of those shown are 8,000 bucks
A pick-up truck with air brakes . . . are you out of your mind ?
I work for Daimler. Haven't heard a single word of this.
The ground clearance , looks suspect for me , i will keep my fingers cross until the real truck drives out and its in the hands of everyday users
Please... no electronics
Old school carboration
Where do we buy it in ohio???
Just like CAT, John Deer, pure fantasy, dealers know nothing about these pick ups.
