So nice to see Liz back in music and with such a great energy. She's a legend and it's a privilege to see her in her best, specially giving a shot to so many artists she inspired.
Of course, Liz Phair is the cool girl promoting all these other female musicians. I loved recording her show in St. Paul recently. The immersive experience was next level. I can’t get enough of her and her sound. I think I have all the words memorized to every song.
Ah, I'm about her age (a little bit more lol), and had a crush from 90's and even more so now after hearing her speak and seeing her now currently on RUclips. Pretty, smart, articulate, real and talented. Liz if you are reading comments, YOU ROCK !
Liz Phair: THE most beautiful woman of Generation X! She was without a doubt my biggest celebrity crush in the 90’s, and I got to meet her on her autobiography book tour in 2019. She was so incredibly friendly and cool to everyone! (And she gives great hugs. 🥰)
OMG, Im so pumped! I was so happy when Liz rereleased her albums on vinyl a few years ago! I love her. I wish you had her in the store, but the next best thing because I get to see her hella cool house. I can’t wait for her new album Soberish to arrived on vinyl at my house.
My favorite female rocker. Just caught her on the Exile 30th anniversary tour night before Thanksgiving 2023 at the old Electric Factory. Man that show made my year
Bah to the naysayers - Liz is way cool, lovable, and bright here. Reminds me of an ex-girlfriend of mine after she had one glass of wine. You know -- soberish. And yeah I'd get back with her if she let me. And "Exile on Main Street" cancels out any bad picks.
@128-192 How do you know they were crap? Did you actually purchase each one and give them a listen? No you didn't, did you. You just posted a lazy-ass comment built on bullshit. Congrats.
I was very pleasantly surprised by Liz's new one. To be honest I only gave it a listen because, despite the cringe album cover, the album title was resonating with me like a heavy wah-wah buzz you get from a big nitrous hit. Soberish: title of the decade. I hope she catches a ride in my Chicago Uber. I had Ryan Adams in my cab once He refused to be recognized and played that he was a metal salesman. On the way to the airport he climbed over to sit in the front seat to share his vape and get a better view of amazing sunset in front of us. Fun ride. Unexpected, kind of like this album. Sorry for the long tangent but hoping at least I stuck the landing. Haha
@@OriginalGrasshopper You really want to defend that design? It's kinda a 90s pastiche busy mess that doesn't match the strength of the title. I like the street sign image though. But don't mind me I'm just a visual artist that's frustrated I've never landed a album cover and I tend to be hypercritical of cover designs. (Edit since they keep deleting my reply: sorry i didn't know it was her child who made the cover. )
I love these videos, been watching and subscribed for yours. But, again...would it kill you guys to add the artists name along with the song when you show it? Cant tell you how many times I don’t know what the hell was said
She's easily my favourite musician. I am sooo pumped to see her presence online a bit more actively this is so exciting!!! I hope she tours Australia again, I don't know how I missed her touring here in 2018 it actually broke my heart to hear that she did... !?? I bought myself the Guyville re-release boxset with all her Girlysound albums (wish I could have gotten them on cassette but I was very broke at the time they released, on my birthday no less!) with my first sizeable paycheck a year after it released. I was so excited to own it, to this day it is my most prized musical possession. She's amazing and I am so envious of everyone who has had the chance to work with her. Liz if you're reading this, let me design you an album cover! Or merchandise??
I liked Whip Smart much better than Exile. But that's just me. I'm taking a pass at her latest single. It wasn't for me, but I didn't think it was terrible either. Just not a blip on my radar.
I’m trying to tamp down my cynicism born by the fact that Amoeba, only in the last several months, now apparently has an agreement with artists that they are able to tout one of their own records on WIMB.
I'm still in love with Liz Phair
some of the smartest, coolest songs ever written
she's just awesome
oh yes , i loved many of her songs back in the 90's
Yeah, she was briefly excellent up until maybe 2000. Then 20+ years of sh*t.
@@docsavage8640 Not true. Her pop albums are great, especially Somebody's Miracle and Soberish.
Don’t read her autobiography, She will ruin herself for you😢

CAROLINE POLACHEK 🥺♡ we love queens supporting queens!!
I find it kinda weird when they pick their own albums but I'd have my own records at home too.
I don’t think it’s weird, they put their heart and soul into making it
If she paid for it, that accounts for a large % of her record sales.
This has to be the first DMB on WIMB lol
Liz is very likable. Interesting picks.
Trying so hard to be hip and cool. 😆

Caroline Polachek - nice. Chairlift was a 🔥 band.
And Liz's new _Soberish_ is a surprise - the best thing she's done since "Supernova".
Soberish is really bad. Hasn't made a good record in 25 years.
Isn't "Breathless" a Corrs song? Anyway Liz Phair is adorable. Great video
Caroline did a really good cover of it on a remix album. She is also from the band Chairlift if you remember them.
I always thought breathless was a Shania Twain song 🤔
Came here to say just this. This was one of the Corrs’ biggest hits.
It's the Corrs ripping off Shania Twain, so a turd polishing another turd.

Stratford on Guy might be one of my best pop songs ever recorded.
It's really good but hardly pop
