I am am a sagittarius, I was a space fanatic for 30 years + of my life, I know for a fact it was always always said we were right on the outer edge of the sagittarius arm of one of the spirals!!! We went from the Sagittarius arm to the Orion Arm to the Orion Spur but I seem to be the only person who remembers all three. We were also on the other side of the galaxy for a short time.

The Earth itself is roughly 25% smaller than what I remember, but most land masses and borders are close enough. Some note worthy differences: Cuba was entirely East of Florida. (This Caribbean cracks me up.) This South America is ~1000mi more East than what I remember, but it has to be to fit on this tiny globe. India is now tiny. Australia is more bug shaped. Antarctica is smaller. There is far less permanent ice on this Earth in general. While I'm not aware of any drastically different political events in my life time, the public reaction to politics is completely different. Politics was cringe and a large number of people were politically neutral. Things like the twitter mob were considered a vocal minority. On this Earth, it's been 50/50 split for YEARS now. Drives me mad.
