- Electronics these day are so sophisticated its like playing a video game watching moving crappie on "LIVE" units. Wasn't that long ago anglers caught crappie with experience and sonar fish-finders. On this episode Scott Turnage incorporates crappie guru JR Oldham to see if he can go back to what made him the crappie fisherman he is by not have "LIVE" technology. No problem. Right?

Thanks Scott for another great video of the 21 1910 G3 Sportsman Series boat, quite a nice unit for sure.👍👍. Who better to get to show you how to catch crappie than the old Outlaw himself JR !! Really a fun and enlightening day. Hope folks hang onto this video in their tips and tricks section cause JR was tossing them out right and left. Thanks for sharing with us. Fred.

Great video Scott .
Nice video. Do you ever pull crank baits for crappie in late summer?
I do. Just did a video on it. You can find it on my home page
Does JR still operate the Lodge?
Unfortunately no but he does have a nice house he rents near the cabins
